For folks watching this after the release of 2e: A lot of the one-page stuff is definitely in the new edition; I'd say that this was a preview of stuff from 2e, which makes lots of sense. Go get it!
After I got this, I found that I preferred the One Page version of Mythic over the original version. It's quick, easy to use, and works well with my games. The only differences I do is I always roll twice for Random Events. I just find it works better that way. Also, Altered Scenes and Interrupts were left out of this version, but I just roll 2d10 at the beginning of each scene for them. Rolling doubles triggers them. Thanks for the review!
Someone else also advised me of that however I did not see a layer tab or an option to turn it off. I am just using the free version of Acrobat Reader and not sure if that is a featured offered. I will need to look into a bit more and figure out what I need to do because that would help me with other books I want to print.
@@solitaryrpg I am also using the free version. Look to the far right when you open the document. Click the triangle in the middle. Then at the very bottom you should see an icon that looks like 3 sheets of paper in a stack. That is where you can adjust setting for layers.
As of right now it is only available in issue #25. Maybe in the future it will be released as a separate document. The author just released Mythic 2 Edition and has been busy with that.
I recently startet solo/gm-less play and used the MythicGME 1e and a hexcrawl-mechanic. For a beginner it was a bit much to incorporate the scene structure, chaos factor and all the lists. It got confusing. With the onepage mythic it goes a lot faster and smoother! I'm really happy about that! Thanks for the great review!
I had the same problem with Mythic 1e. I get caught up in my game and just forget all the steps that I needed to do between scenes. It is great to have the two systems available so we have options with our games. Thank you for the comment on the video have a great weekend.
Currently I am working on Dragonbane and getting ready to record those videos. I am always down for Death in Space. I have videos on that game but I did not use Mythic. It might be fun to revisit the Iron Ring and go scavenging again.

@@danirookie Light and portable tells me you don't want to carry a bunch of books to play. I have been looking at more quick start rules for games and using those to play. A good example is the recent Shadowdark RPG that went crazy. The free to download rules were more than enough to play games. The Year Zero Engine has a simple set of rules called Year Zero Mini. These rules are only a few pages long and I keep mine on my phone. I used them to play Death in Space. I only used the setting and some of the rules from the book but the characters and core game mechanics came from Year Zero Mini. You can also just take what you like from different games and create your own system. That is really the only reason I collect RPG books, to take what I like from them and use those tools for my games.
I saw the magazine on drive-thru and I'm glad you did a look over of it. I think it's funny that the one page the GM emulator is pretty much how I've been doing it. I didn't like the crunchiness of having to keep track of the chaos Factor all of the time and the revised version where you added it where you took the detens and added them together simplified it but still was far more than I wanted to pay attention to. I will probably buy it for the verb now and list because there's not enough of those in the world! Thanks again for the video

I just got the 3rd compilation magazine (pdf version) I hope the 4th compilation will come out soon, but now I'm starting to think about getting the individual magazine since it might take quite a while before we reach the current issue 31.
I also get the magazines by being a supporter on Patron. The benefit of the compilation is really the full page art work of the covers. It really like the art but if you are not looking at that just get the monthly magazine.
@@solitaryrpg My main reason for the compiled version is the quantity of files. I'm starting to have way too many files. If I can get some of them in a single file :)
@@lockedlake I can relate to that. It is easy to pick up digital files however I forget I have them because I have too many. Especially with bundle sales. I do enjoy having the digital files so I can just print what I need and it does not take up physical space in my life. Now I just have them taking up space on my computer and I just never really seem to use them.

Yes the 2e release had many changes this being one of them. It is a great system and makes solo gaming a lot of fun.

i just bought Mythic 2e. its my first Mythic experience and so far so great! loving this PDF. cant wait until its available in print form
I am also waiting for the physical book. I like how all the options are now included in the book and I don't have to look for them.
FYI, If you are using Acrobat Reader, you have the ability to omit that background parchment layer.
