Despite being 50, my fragrance journey only began at the start of the year, but I've already firmly become a niche snob. You’ve played a massive part in that, and I sincerely thank you for it. Destination unknown, but I'm certainly enjoying this journey so far
Same here. I’m 55 and started about a year ago. Started out with designer fragrances and then I got my first niche for a Christmas gift. It was Amouage Interlude black iris. There’s a distinct difference between niche and designer, mainly quality and and uniqueness of the scent. Justin is a big influence in my fragrance purchases. In a good way. If you haven’t tried anything from Argos you should sample their stuff. Absolutely phenomenal!
The best middle ground for me is finding the hidden gems of the Designer that smells "niche". Kenzo EDP and Prada L'homme Intense to name a couple. I love the way they are very different and most people will question this new waft in their nose.
How I realised I am becoming a fragrance snob for the first time: I remember how I wanted to show to a friend how awful some niche fragrances can be. Smelling animalic and actually fecal. I chose my decant of Desert Caravan by the Gate for this. It was the worst thing I ever smelled. So awful, it was beyond me why anyone would pay money to smell like this. I hadn't smelled it for about a year when I sprayed it on a test stripe and prepared to be hilariously disgusted like before … But no. To my own surprise, I actually liked it! I liked the smelly poopy weird fragrance that disgusted me before! This was disturbing. Something had fundamentally changed. It was this moment that I realised that in only 3 years of collecting I had turned into a niche snob. It will be only a matter of time until I wear stuff like Tyrannosaurus Rex on a hot summer day in the office, laughing ignorantly at those peasants that will try to escape my fallout like scent cloud of extravagant perfume art. 😅
Please don't! I tried it at work and I was locked away in a small room with no windows or airflow. 😆 I love some poopy weird stuff myself but T-Rex... I just can't. I love Zoologist but man... you know how sometimes you get that mental reference and you can't get rid of it and it totally ruins a fragrance to you? T-Rex smells like pastrami to me, lol.
You just gave me such a great laugh!! I have never smelled a poopy fragrance, and that sounds repulsive, but you have me terrified that such a transformation of enjoyment could take place as I am a total niche lover. 😅
@@andreas6624 When it happens, and it will happen someday, embrace it. Don't fight it. It is just the next unavoidable step on your fragrance journey. 😄But maybe don't describe these fragrances the way I did to other people. They won't understand and maybe even start avoiding the “poop lover” guy. Don't ask me how I know. 😬
Boundless is probably my favorite fragrance of the 70+ I own. I got rid of my Spicebomb Extreme because I honestly feel it is a much better take on the profile. I also never wore SBE. I am sad seeing some people complain that Amouage went too basic with the fragrance, I feel like it has a lot going on. It just simply is very likable!
I just got the Alghabra discovery set about a month ago and, wow, they have some bangers. Labyrinth of Spices is great, as is Eye of the Seven Hills. Istanbul's Soul is probably my favorite and will likely be my first full bottle. However, I feel like I have to mention Ancient Fortress because it was so unexpected and different. I didn't expect to love it because of its aquatic notes, but I have to say it is one of the most unique and well-crafted aquatics I've ever tried. Yes, it has that typical marine scent we all know but it doesn't define the experience. There is so much more surrounding it - leather, spices, and amber. Very unique and definitely worth checking out.
Agree! Listen to Christine Nagel talk about her experience creating H24. Unlimited time frame, incredible resources spent aquiring the best materials possible, no creative interference… … sounds niche enough for me?
I somewhat agree with your statement about Dior and Chanel, especially Chanel, and I'd add classic Guerlain to the mix. However, there are many releases from some niche brands that are high in quality.
@@daniell5740 I’ve smelled and own plenty. Just because they are ‘niche’, doesn’t mean they are of better quality. Infact many niche fragrances I feel try to hard to be different just for the sake of being different.
Ok one other thing. There is this lady at work that has taken interest in my fragrances to the point where she followed me out of the elevator to my desk to ask what I was wearing. That particular day I had sprayed LeLabo Another 13 and added Donna Born In Roma on top just as an experiment. Welp. Clearly it was a success and now she asks me to just walk around nearby once a day so she can smell my fragrance lol. I love it and I don't mind at all.
Captures this so well, always informative and thoughtful and has exactly the right respectful approach to this passion/interest. Always get a lot out of a Justin video
I'm not a snob, although it's all about me, myself and I. It's not all about niche fragrances. I tend to show more of a favor for fragrances that smells extraordinary, and projects like a beast, with at least 8 hours of longevity; therefore it doesn't matter to me whether it's Niche, or a main stream fragrance. I also don't rain on other people parade; no matter what floats your boat. I congratulate; not hate.
yes yes, niche snob over here, because im really disapointed in what designers are doing , from time to time i go to sephora to smell something, but latest only dior homme sport (the new one) blew me away ,after i tested repeated and i got a 200 ml,other than that guerlain was my favorite house and epices exquises (the cardamom is fantastic in this one, spicey and fresh incredible good ) its a really good one . Justin, what i wanted to recommend you,is try the samples from les indomedables, sora dora and g nose, thsese are some powerhouse niche houses and i think you might like something from them,i also would think a great idea to hear from you soem overview over a house as a new discovery, who knows just saying . Have a nice weekend ! Best regards, Lucian Gudiu
Thank you for sharing. I understand. I have a couple from Sora Dora. Gladiator does not impress me (smells a bit mainstream), but it’s nice, and I like Broceliande.
Hey Justin It is certainly interesting once you start the fragrance journey where discovery and sampling takes you... Up until the last 12months for me it's been the standard Acqua Di Gio and the likes of Davidoff and CK.. I sampled Amouage Rose incense recently and xerjoff range. World's apart in price but the depth of the fragrances are world's apart too.. my advice to anyone is sample sample sample and find fragrances that you like . And save for them... Don't need a 300+ bottle collection.. Another great informative video from you.. Cheers
Boundless sounded very interesting when you described it and I thought I need to try it. But by the end of the video I started thinking, do I own it? Yes, I do. It is one of many that has fallen out of rotation. After spraying though it will be used once fall/winter hits. Phenomenal spicy scent.
I at this point have more niche frags in my collection it is not that I feel I am a niche snob but more that I love perfumery and love finding new things. With that out of the way I feel the best most iconic frags come from the designer private lines. And even the most iconic frags come from designers much more so then the niche side. I feel in the search to be unique and different many niche frags become more art and less of a timeless feel. Not all of course but in general this is how I feel
Oh, I am a 75% fragrance snob 😂 - love it! Only exception is point #3 as well - everybody should wear what they want or like, I would never judge anybody on their taste.
I don’t judge but I don’t always appreciate the scents others have chosen. Not because of the name or style or definition of the fragrance smell but how the fragrance smells on them. Some people smell amazing wearing Aqua de Gio (sic?) but some people shouldn’t wear it.
I am always asked what perfume are you wearing. It is difficult to respond because I know that the person asking me is not really a perfume wearer, but I tell them anyway, and they have no idea about niche perfumes. However, I also have lots of designer perfumes as well as I have been in this game probably before you were born. Thus, I have a huge collection, for which I am grateful as now I am unable to purchase anything new as I am now “retired” (not my choice) and have to watch every Penny I spend. I enjoy your videos and must say that you have a really great voice.
Love the channel and the videos Justin! I subscribed a few months back but I’ve been knowing and watching your videos for a long time. Remember the one you did on Thierry Mugler cologne vs. Creed Vetiver? 😂 I am becoming a frag snob . Don’t have a large collection yet, but I do have over 50 1 milliliter samples from lucky scent . I always sample first because the niche houses are pretty pricey. I like the depth and complexity and dry downs of niche. They make me happier and they seem to last longer on me. Just ordered a full bottle of Roja Midsummer!
Great channel and great work! I agree with the distinction you made but IMHO I think that the fragrance community tends to oversimplify the distinction between the 2 groups. I have a lot of fragrances that (exception made for fragrance enthusiasts) are not exactly mainstream. I think about Dior Homme Intense, Dior Homme Parfum, Eau Sauvage Parfum, Prada Luna Rossa Black, Gentleman Reserve Privee. Some of these were super hyped or popular in the "fragrance community" but not so much outside. Never found anyone wearing the same type of fragrance in years of working in the office. The fact that the mainstream brands are deciding what we wear is true just partially, there is plenty of choice in the ouside world to smell unique and yet buy designer products. It largely depends also on taste. I'd probably pick Dior Homme intense over 100 other niche fragrances because that creation tells me a story and evokes unique feelings in me. But I get your point, designers are more concerned in what the public likes and more targeted to "please the masses" while there is more freedom and creativity on the niche side. Fragrance recommendations: if you have any change to get it in the US try Les Couvent fragrances, the perfumer is Jean-Claude Ellena. 2 in particular: Vetivera that became quickly my favourite vetiver fragrance, dark, wild and marine at the same time (something unique) and Ambra from the same collection, a magic scent!
I wouldn't call myself one, since I do enjoy some designer releases as much as my niche favorites and I certainly don't judge people for being only into the ADGs or Polo of this world (in fact, I find the new ADG parfum release quite pleasant). That said, I do primarily wear my fragrances for myself, unless of course I have another goal in mind (ex: pleasing my SO while dining out or while at the office). Also, Boundless is my favorite fragrance of all time so I'm totally biased here in approving the choice, haha.
I will go to the rock concert tomorrow and I will use adamo parfume III. Thanks for the chance to get samples. Today, I first tried Charlie PDM. I have to have it. It is me, I guess.
Boundless is a wonderful rich scent. It's a little sweeter than most Amouage, but I love it. Wish it had stronger longevity, Thanks for the preso. Yeah....I concur on the distinction between niche and designer. My tastes are pretty broad, and if the weather is accommodating my rotation can be as diverse from day to day as: Overture Man, Hamdani, Angels Share, Jasmine Rouge, Akaster, to Myths Man. I also wear the frag for me first.
@@andreas6624 Which Amouage frags do you have? I have quite a few and get excellent longevity from Overture Man, any of the Interlude frags, Gold Man, Journey Man, Lyric Man, Royal Tobacco, Reflection Man, and a few others. I love Angels Share as a stand alone and also find it layers very easily.
@@DavidGarcia-zu3hl , I have an Amouage Feminine Discovery Set. About the only one I really liked was Epic and the performance was mediocre. I do have a decant of Gold Man, that smells very nice, but haven’t actually smelled it on a man’s skin yet. The other fragrances you mentioned I have not had the chance to experience yet. I would like to smell Beach Hut Man and Reflection Man! 😊
@@andreas6624 I very much like all three of those. Gold Man is, of course, the original. And it is OLD School with an animalic bite to it. I dig it, don't see a lot of under thirty rushing to try it. Reflection Man is probably the frag with Amouage's widest appeal. It's magnificent as a stand alone, it also layers very easily. I very much like Beach Hut man as well! All in all, I prefer the heavier parfums from Amouage...all the Interlude variants, Overture Man is my favorite, Journey Man, Fate Man, Oud Ulya. I really like Lyric Man as well, it's a beast.
@@DavidGarcia-zu3hl , you had me at beast. Beast fragrances are my favorite!! I was so disappointed over my disappointment with my Discovery Set. 😂 Sometimes I think I am odd when it comes to fragrance as I often don’t care for the ‘best’ ones, such as BR540 and PDM Delina………. I get confused as to what is wrong with my nose. 😜 With Amouage, I was baffled (after smelling my entire set) as to how on earth this could be one of the best fragrance houses. 😟
I actually got my nose on boundless Tuesday. I'm mad I liked it so much because I have 3 Amouge at this moment and I really wanted to get another BDK in the collection considering I only have 1. That Boundless might make me say the hell with it and go for 4,lol. Amazing. 💯
@Justin - great video. Just a small note of difference. For sign 2, I think a fragrance lover would do what you said. I think a niche snob would wear niche to stand out and show themselves to run different from the pack. Kinda like music snobs who wear their obscure genre tastes with pride
This is so weird! I got in from work a few hours ago, got changed, looked at my collection and thought, ooo I fancy wearing some boundless as I haven't worn it since last autumn and it's one of my absolute favourites! So I'm sat here, smelling amazing, click on TH-cam and you're the top video with a bottle of boundless as the thumbnail 😂.
Designer = this is what we should wear Niche = this is what you could smell like This insight right here seems obvious and yet hardly observed by most; like common sense.. I may also be just 2/3 because i dont judge people who like mainstream perfumes like BDC Sauvage and even Y. Also, i myself am open to designers so long as the composition seems different like Joop Splash, Boss Pure, Gianfranco Ferre in the mood for love, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and Dunhill Century. On top of your 5 fragrances which as you said were mostly spicy, my niche perfume is ganymede which has a fresh side but has depth or development with its leather, spice and a touch of woods. This is great video that no content creator will think of discussing. Thanks JC
I am 100% without a doubt #2 sign. The first one, I'm very much on the same as you, Justin, but I'm still pretty open when it comes to Designer. I will never be #3. As long as the person wearing it loves it for the right reasons (aka enjoying it & not just wanting validation), I couldn't care less about what someone wears. As always, loving the content, my brother.
I absolutely love niche fragrances, but there isn’t a niche selling perfumery within 3 and a half hours from me …and that’s up in Scottsdale. Designer fragrances are simply more accessible to me so I stick to those. But I definitely love great niche products.
I was lucky to realise early in that most mainstream fare didn't interest me. Boundless is a perfect example of your contention that the beauty of the scent is more important than how loud it is. Lovely, subtle accent.
The way you describe "Raffaello", makes me want to try it right away. I think I will like it a lot! I am a fragrance snob, no doubt. I tried one perfume from "Blackliff Parfums", and to me, it smelled like burnt wires, but had something else that I really liked. (Sounds krazy?)
A niche snob here. Preferably Indie. Tries to ignore expensive designers frags. Some niche frags are even cheaper than some over hyped designers. Thanks for your insights.
But sometimes you can be confident in knowing most people will not like how you smell it's kinda like someone who doesn't wear deodorant or any kind of fragrance and think they smell just fine but everyone around them knows they stink and talk about projection and sillage it can fill a whole room with that funk
I love designers and niche. This is art to me regardless of how it was made it paints a picture for me, and I get to bask in it no fomo I'll just get a decant if I like it ill buy more if not I'm out a few bucks
I had really been considering myself a niche snob lately, but I stuck my entire collection on a shelf and realized the full bottles are still about half designers. I guess it's easy to forget when you're paying Louis Vuitton and private collection prices lol
lol Ok listening to the video now (since I tend to comment first to eliminate bias) I don't do the third one. I don't turn my nose up or anything at what others like. I DO sometimes avoid things that are super popular at the time simply because I DO like to stand out when possible......but I won't be defiant simply for that reason. If I like it, I like it regardless...I will prob just roll my eyes a bit as I spray it on lol. And I'm ok with that.....I'm looking at YOU BR540 pwahahaha
Great content Justin. SFP have been a very positive and intuitive side of TH-cam. I feel personal pride in watching your evolution in this space/genre of content creating. Much Blessing bro... And yes, 🗣(((( I AM A NICHE SNOB!!! 😄 I don't care. I just don't care. But my integrity exist in a place where this behavior is within. Unlike Kanye, I have and inside voice. You'd NEVER know that I am a niche snob unless I told you or you saw my collection. Great conversation. 👍🏾
I am definitely a niche snob. When I look back at my Top 10 For Life list from 2019, compared to now, I can only look back in utter distain at that mostly designer 2019 list. The odd times I wear those fragrances now, I feel I may as well have worn nothing that day because I get nothing from it. Many of the reviewers I used to watch back in the day, I no longer watch because I don't want to hear about the new designer flanker "compliment monster" (or the same ole tired oldies from several years ago) they are raving about. It's a matter of personal growth for me.
I think i'm literally the opposite of a niche snob. I. I'm largely apathetic to Niche releases. I'm curious, and watch videos but it's so expensive i so I'm not following closely. 2. I don't seek to wear artistic fragrances and I 100% want to appeal to masses. Though i do wear only what I like. 3. I judge people overtly and covertly for only liking niche fragrances & judging those that don't buy just niche. Note re: #2: I get lots of decants of niche but 90% of the time my what smells good to me ends up being a mass appeal. Example, I'd take most blue/acquatics (BDC for example) over the decant i have of Elysium. Not for me. That happens most of the time. I mean my Scent of the Day is fricken Sean John Unforgivable baby! Not even high end designer lol.
I wouldn’t say I’m a snob. My issue with designer is their price proposition for what they’re offering is nuts. I’m not paying 250 for Sauvage Elixir. I’m just not.
I'm such a snob these days. I started humbly with designer, now I can hardly stand them (some exceptions apply - Dior Homme Intense, Guerlain Homme EDP, Chopard etc). I find many designers smell very similar and seek out niche for the more unique and artistic flare they tend to have. But my snobbery doesn't end there; I cannot begin to describe my disdain for clones.....
This video made me smile. I think the word "snob" definitely carries with it a negative connotation. But I totally understand what you're saying. No snobs here my friend. But I'll try harder. Lol 😆
I’m definitely a snob, as I haven’t bought anything designer in more than a year, but have collected samples for at least 4 different niche houses in the same timeframe. Now that I’m typing it out, I think I may have a bit of a problem. 😬😬 I will say that I definitely don’t judge folks for wearing designer. Wear what you like as long as the fragrance serves the purpose for you(and hopefully smells good in the process). I do, however, judge those who chronically over spray.
I realized I was becoming a fragrance snob when I sold several of my designers and told my buddy that fragrances under $100 hardly ever make my collection
I've only been in this fragrance game for two years. I really got into it by accident by being mad at my wife. While serving 21 years in the Army 1993-2014. I did purchsse fragrances but not a lot. My first fragrance that I purchased in 2020 Dior Sauavge. I believe im a Niche snob. Now I Only purchase Niche fragrances
I don't think I'll ever be a Niche snob. Despite having a decently sized collection of Niche fragrances, I still douse myself with Versace pour homme about half the time I'm at the gym 😅
2.5 out of 3 I'm pretty much a fragrance snob , I saw some who only collected 2.5 to 5ml mini bottles and I thought that was a bit strange, some who only collected celebrity fragrances and the clone collectors who never bother to check out the original, they're all a bit weird to me.
Accessiblity is not considered or mentioned here. Designer frags are much more accessible, rather than having to mail order to sample or buy. I think of it like those who just watch mainstream corporate media. They are comfortable with what they're being told. Whereas, if you go and research news out of the box (niche), you'll learn of some real good things, and some really not so..... if that makes any sense...... For me, if you cover my eyes and I love the scent......Well, I'll love the scent regardless of the audience it's being catered and marketed too.
I believe that accessibility of designer fragrances is implied in this video. Especially during the part about all of us starting with designer and some of us discovering niche.
I have a question and I'm sure you get many in your comments and may not have time to respond to all of them. My question is my wife really likes the smell of angels share by Kilian. Are you aware of the fragrance (I'm sure you've heard of it at least had your nose on it) or are you aware of fragrances that smell similar?
@@rawrick01 if you’re asking me, I think getting something that smells similar would be redundant. And if you’re going off of your wife’s reaction, there’s no guarantee that she’ll like something similar just as much or more than what you have. I’d try to build variety in your fragrance wardrobe, and just know that you have Angel’s Share as a great sweet warm spicy boozy profile to wear for dates and such.
I use to only wear designer perfumes because thats all i had in front of me in department stores. Once I tried and start researching niche perfumes i cant go back to designer. I rather pay more knowing most likely i won't smell like anyone else.
Not a snob but i hate hearing about another new designer rekease or flanker. I told my friend that I'm happy enough to smell smell like citrus and flowers 😂 . There are many older perfumes that accomplish this for me.
There should by an extra category for me. I moved to niche, becase the designer fragrances are sooooo synthetic. I have no problem with simple fragrance that smells naturally, but I do when a good fragrance is made from shitty matetials...
Notta, I purchase my fragrances designer or niche based on whether I can correctly pronounce the name and brand correctly 😅 Or what my wife tells me to buy 😮, If you buy yours based on my standards must own many (Designer & Niche). I sometimes think you speak fluent everything, "PEACE" Doc
These three signs make me more of a snob than I would've thought, with still more designer bottles than niche. 2/3rds snob. Flanker number 20 in a Designer range doesn't get me excited just by hearing about it, though I do actually like my gifted AdG parfum more than I would've thought. Also, mostly I wear what I feel like wearing, only adjusting the sprays to my surroundings if needed. Amouage overture to the office? Why not? I do like to expand my friends' horizons by letting them try something a bit more off the beaten path, but if they like their Armani Code, Versace Eros or Dior Sauvage better, then that's great for them, no judgement from me.
I’m not gunna lie, I will pick something up that I get excited to wear that day or I’ll be thinking of a fragrance that I want to wear. I’ll think of what my wife will think or does she like this one. I’m sucker for getting at least one compliment from my wife a day.. so I can’t say I’m a complete snob and not quite 100% with #2 on your list of rules
interesting i have stopped watching lots of frag vids - mainly you and mr smelly now i have many frags i want to get rid of - mainly designer now cos as you say much of a muchness my taste is oreintal - arabian oud etc just spent $1500 at max aroma on 6 bortnikoff (they had 30% off) came to 1600 w delivery to the uk then I just spent another £500 at arabian oud so total £1700! dont need them but it's an addiction cant wait to try them all - mainly oud based
In addition to being a professional musician, I’m a fragrance reviewer. I create a lot of content here on TH-cam, and have done so for almost 7 years. Many fragrances I buy myself, many are sent to me by brands/stores.
Not a niche snob yet. But I usually don't care for these modern overly sweet designer fragrances. I do enjoy wearing stuff the Average joe knows nothing about.
I'd like to amend Rule 2; there are many designers that I own and will cherish forever, but I am convinced that all (are at least 99%) of new designer stuff is atrocious; I would like to petition that I qualify for rule 2 under that amendment 😁
Too many things smell good to be a fragrance snob. Crazy thing is now we’re saying certain brands that only really make fragrances aren’t niche but are luxury brands then other brands are niche and luxury designer brands are just that. It’s all marketing. Fragrances themselves are niche items as only small subset of the population wears them.
Dun duh-duh duh, now you do what they told ya...Dun duh-duh duh, now you do what they told ya....Dun duh-duh duh, now you do what they told ya...PERFUMES ON PARADE!!!! 😂😂😂 Rage Against the Fragrance Machine
I wear designers n I can tell u I don't need to spend between 2 to 500 dollars to smell good . The niche community is dillustional spending that much money on a scent especially Copeland
I’ve never condoned spending $500. That’s ridiculous. If you actually watch my videos, you’ll hear me say you should sample first in almost every video. Come on man.

yes yes, niche snob over here, because im really disapointed in what designers are doing , from time to time i go to sephora to smell something, but latest only dior homme sport (the new one) blew me away ,after i tested repeated and i got a 200 ml,other than that guerlain was my favorite house and epices exquises (the cardamom is fantastic in this one, spicey and fresh incredible good ) its a really good one .
Best regards,
Lucian Gudiu
Thank you for sharing. I understand.
I have a couple from Sora Dora. Gladiator does not impress me (smells a bit mainstream), but it’s nice, and I like Broceliande.
I didn’t think you could top the hawk video!! Damn right I’m a snob thanks for calling me out I take this fragrance shh.. seriously keep posting!!
Haha thank you!
Hey Justin
It is certainly interesting once you start the fragrance journey where discovery and sampling takes you...
Cheers
Thanks for watching Andrew! I understand!
Boundless sounded very interesting when you described it and I thought I need to try it. But by the end of the video I started thinking, do I own it? Yes, I do. It is one of many that has fallen out of rotation. After spraying though it will be used once fall/winter hits. Phenomenal spicy scent.
Haha! What an interesting predicament.
A fragrance snob? Moi? Great topic and you spoke very eloquently about it!
Thanks for watching!
You nailed it. I've been a niche fragrance snob for years & I'm extremely unapologetic about it.
@@DJFAmenHeavy Oh man, you are so off the mark!
@@MuddyGreenMonsterhe might be on to something! 😂
Thanks for watching, Josh! Sampling is the way to go.
Like the man always says. Wear what you love. Can be $300 or $30. If you enjoy it price shouldn’t matter
That’s a nice favorite of all time!
I will go to the rock concert tomorrow and I will use adamo parfume III. Thanks for the chance to get samples.
Today, I first tried Charlie PDM. I have to have it. It is me, I guess.
I’m glad you like those fragrances!
I haven’t found an Amouage with longevity yet. 😢 And Angels Share………a moment of silence is appropriate. ❤️😍❤️
Designer niche indie a fragrance journey. I still wear them all depending on my mood. Great video Justin thought provoking as always.
Thanks for watching!

I love niche perfumery. But good lord, do I love me some Chanel.
So do I! Certain ones at least.
Me too. Just as much as some niche brands. You are not alone.
I have 3 Indy, 4 designers, and 7 niche. That being said, the niche I do have are interpretations or very easy wearing mainstream niche.
Please suggest(or make a video) some few niches for those people who have lots of designers fragrances.
Perfect! 😆
Thanks Justin - Really enjoyed this one!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Designer = this is what we should wear
Niche = this is what you could smell like
This insight right here seems obvious and yet hardly observed by most; like common sense..
Thanks JC

Is there a point beyond snobbery? Asking for a friend…I wouldn’t criticize anyone for the fragrance they choose unless it doesn’t smell good on them.
Thats literally 80% of nieche
@@red2432I love my vintage more than most new releases niche or designer. I’m a fragrance snob, probably 😂

Loving these videos Justin. Keep going and doing your thing. The psychology of fragrances is a great take.
I appreciate that!
I got a heavy flu for a week and now I cant smell anything...not a single one of my fragrances
I hope that changes soon
Good 1 mate!
Thank you! Cheers!
Boundless is such a reassuring easy wear. It just smells like a calm, classy confidence. I think it got a bad wrap initially because it wasn't mental.
Haha! Nice
A niche snob here. Preferably Indie. Tries to ignore expensive designers frags. Some niche frags are even cheaper than some over hyped designers. Thanks for your insights.
Thanks for sharing!
But sometimes you can be confident in knowing most people will not like how you smell it's kinda like someone who doesn't wear deodorant or any kind of fragrance and think they smell just fine but everyone around them knows they stink and talk about projection and sillage it can fill a whole room with that funk
After discovering niche i just cant go back to mass designer market. I like the feeling of being set apart from the crowd
Haha!

But my integrity exist in a place where this behavior is within.
Unlike Kanye, I have and inside voice. You'd NEVER know that I am a niche snob unless I told you or you saw my collection.
Great conversation. 👍🏾
Thank you Tommy! I appreciate that. And I hear you loud and clear.
Haha. I am the first 2 all day. Only like fresh designer frags.
Only No. 2 applies to me. I wear what I like. And I have loves on both sides of the aisle, both designer and niche.
Guerlian isn’t designer it’s niche.
This video made me smile. I think the word "snob" definitely carries with it a negative connotation. But I totally understand what you're saying. No snobs here my friend. But I'll try harder. Lol 😆
Haha!
Boundless is a masterpiece - I say that as a woman who is completely settled into wearing any and everything that brings me joy.
I’m definitely a snob, as I haven’t bought anything designer in more than a year, but have collected samples for at least 4 different niche houses in the same timeframe.
Now that I’m typing it out, I think I may have a bit of a problem. 😬😬
I will say that I definitely don’t judge folks for wearing designer. Wear what you like as long as the fragrance serves the purpose for you(and hopefully smells good in the process). I do, however, judge those who chronically over spray.
Amouage Boundless is one of my favourite scents, top 10 easy.
We Loooovvveee Yooouuu Justiiiiinnn lol and yeah I'm definitely a snob....heavy on the NO in the middle pwahahaha
I'm a niche snob!
Yes I’m aware of it, it’s very nice. If you and your wife like it, you should save up for it!
@stayfreshproductions I already own it I was wondering if you are aware of any that smell similar?
@@rawrick01 if you’re asking me, I think getting something that smells similar would be redundant. And if you’re going off of your wife’s reaction, there’s no guarantee that she’ll like something similar just as much or more than what you have. I’d try to build variety in your fragrance wardrobe, and just know that you have Angel’s Share as a great sweet warm spicy boozy profile to wear for dates and such.
Some of the folks in these fragrance groups on Facebook are ruthless and will criticize you for wearing designer fragrances and that's just wrong.
That’s crossing the line.
Being a snob in any walk of life shows you are not as confident in yourself as you like to believe or portray...
Who said that?
@@stayfreshproductions me
There should by an extra category for me. I moved to niche, becase the designer fragrances are sooooo synthetic. I have no problem with simple fragrance that smells naturally, but I do when a good fragrance is made from shitty matetials...
'Synthetic' and 'natural' are not the right words to use here
There are synthetics in pretty much all fragrances. But I understand what you mean.
I only judge people for wearing too loud (or too much of) a fragrance for the occasion..
First two yes but not the third
congrats on hitting 75k while not sharting out the typical listicle SEO spam videos.
Thank you 🙏🏾
I’m not gunna lie, I will pick something up that I get excited to wear that day or I’ll be thinking of a fragrance that I want to wear. I’ll think of what my wife will think or does she like this one. I’m sucker for getting at least one compliment from my wife a day.. so I can’t say I’m a complete snob and not quite 100% with #2 on your list of rules

I check the first two criteria. I guess I am still a SNOB in progress :)
Sure, if we want to blur all of the lines, we could say it’s all marketing and it’s all niche. But we know it’s more nuanced than that.
