My biggest fear is to be the OBNOXIOUS guy, so I might be a notorious undersprayer. I am usually a 2-4 guy, depending on the fragrance. Great video as always 👍🏻👍🏻

This is why Dior (style) atomisers are so good. You can do a tiny pre-spray to make sure you’re lined up properly and then a bigger second spray once you know you’re on target. 😆

I have the same to happen also, turning my head to expose the area on the neck, which I’m attending to so spray typically helps now.
“Its usually stronger than you think” is so true, i was wearing Lndl to school one day and a girl said “Wow you smell so strong, it smells amazing but so strong” when in the fragcom Lndl is considered to be a super weak , 0 longevity scent, most of our noses have been heavily desensitized, normal people still have normal noses😂, when i first got into the hobby, i used a decant of dior sauvage and it was so strong to my new nose it kept me up while i was sleeping and made me sick :)

Ironically one of the only fragrances I'm able to detect all day on myself is LNDL Bleu Electrique. Something about those spices I guess.
@@Qualltoxy Ngl Bleu electrique is actually a really strong fragrance by itself, ive been told it smells too strong wearing 2 sprays lol, could just be my skin too but it lasts forever. Its a great scent tho ive got two bottles :)
@@notever8401 Well its a 2019 batch, 200ml w a pretty big dent, so its def macerated quite abit, but becuz i too thought LDNL was “weak” i def didnt hold back on the trigger, i mustve sprayed at least 7 times probably 8 or 9 😅. The comment i got was at the end of my schoolday so it was going strong from 8am to 4pm and even longer

In all seriousness, please people, do not douse yourself in perfume. People often can smell you, even when you can’t. More often than not, the compliments I receive on my fragrance comes after I’ve gone anosmic. Appreciate the information Justin!

Thanks man! I am one of those people who puts very little sprays in fear of overspraying. Nobody has told me I oversprayed but it still scares me to put more
I adopted this routine a little over a year ago and it has worked wonders. It really helped me appreciate more of my frags and even fell in love with some I might have thrown to the wayside due to “bad performance”
100% agree minimum two sprays, one just doesn’t feel right.

Tobacco Honey from Guerlain would beg to differ. Even one full spray has me feeling like I’m swimming in it.
Not spraying the front of your neck absolutely works, it was a gamechanger for me once i realized you'll still be able to smell it if you spray the back of your neck instead.
I've only recently gotten into fragrance and so far you've been my absolute favorite content creator. No frills, tasteful presentation. Different strokes for different folks, but I dont think I would've continued this journey after my 2nd bottle if it weren't for this channel. Thank you

With most of my cool/cold weather frags, it's five sprays. Some frags get one or two more, some get one or two less. Warm/hot weather frags usually get seven to nine. I've never gone double digits on any fragrance...and never will.

Justin got 3 frags in today..
1. Xerjoff DON - have you tried that? At first spray KINDA FUNKY then let it simmer the gunpowder in it really shined. I know it sound funny but there is an earthy fragrance that radiates from wherever you spray it. After an hour it will turn into a sugared tobacco with a peppery sulfur and firecracker 🧨.
2. Club de Nuit OUD. First thing I have to. Say is wow! Armaf did it well! As I picked it up, I could smell that Oudy Animal starting to growl. I had that face you made when spraying purple suede.. and my wife immediately said oh h e double hockey sticks no. Then using her as the tester sprayed a little bit of her forearm which became about 2 full sprays after we both realized how awesome it smelled the top notes of passionfruit peach plum pineapple were heavy on top and you could smell that oud in the background like it wanted to shine out in the front but the sweetness kept it at bay.
3. Second soul - my wife’s favorite 🤩 I must admit, after spraying my arm I could have sworn that I have a similar fragrance. After searching through my collection I found it, has similarities smells like …. When I lived in Philadelphia when I was in my 20’s. I’m sure you have smelled RALPH LAURENS SAFARI.. there’s 5 similar notes. The difference between Second Soul and SAFARI is that 2nd soul has a strong alcohol fragrance that makes the longevity and sillage more pronounced. I remember I used to spray my pillow and sheets with SAFARI..
I haven’t tried Xerjoff Don. I’m glad your wife enjoys 2nd Soul! I also have Safari. Classic.
I typically do about 3 sprays around the sides and back of neck, then 1 later in the day, back of neck to refresh. I don't typically do more because I don't want to blow through the few niche bottles I have, haha.
Also, I actually prefer TH-camrs redo videos that are 2+ years old. I like to know their most current thoughts, opinions, routines, etc.

I remember overspraying sultan vetiver; never again. The smell of the soapy, grassy, fragrance drove me nutts. I even had a female coworker ask why i smell like grass lol

I can vouche for avoiding spraying the front area . You DO go nose blind to scents . By avoiding spraying close to the nose , you can avoid this

I went nose blind to Amouge interlude. Did 3 sprays and couldn’t smell it. Did another 3. My wife wouldn’t come near me for a few hours. That stuffs no joke. 2-3 sprays tops
I used to do 7 sprays but I saw everyone using less so I decided to try and reduce the sprays to 5 and I realised it was still pretty strong. So I reduced to 3 which is my current method now. It helps with reducing the number of bottles I finish and I don’t have to worry about chemical warfare. I spray one in my hand and apply it on the back of my neck then I spray one on the front and back of my T shirt. As for potency of perfume, I still maintain the 3 sprays but I choose the potency depending on where I need to go. Works well for me and hasn’t gotten me in trouble 😁

Even Reflection Man? I'm on a decant , doing about four sprays, I'm not impressed by the longevity so far.
@@richardt6505 Yeah, that's the exact one that popped into my head as well. Reflection Man gets seven for me. Overall though, gmoney is right. Most Amouage frags are pretty strong.

@@richardt6505 spraying from a decant is a little different. I recall Justin saying on one of his videos that you’ll need two sprays from it to equal on spray from an actual bottle.
I do something similar, except I always apply to my arms if I'm wearing short sleeves and I often apply a spray or two to my hair.

Also apply a non scented lotion to the areas where you intend on applying the sprays.
As for the 1 spray dilemma, I personally work in close proximity with strangers as my patients so I have been wearing only 1 spray under the shirt. It has been working wonders because I am getting wafts of Beau de Jour in my nose the entire 8 hours shift.

I also have a similar spray pattern but i dont do double sprays per spot. Normally its 1 each collarbone, 1 behind the neck and 1 under the chest. When i want a little projection, i add 1 behind each ear and each wrist. If im using a weak perfume, thats when i add 1 per inner elbow and 1 per shoulder. :)

I’m in the less is more camp, and I also find that 2-3 sprays in the back of my neck is enough for me to enjoy a fragrance most of the day. I disagree about more sprays and longevity, though, with a caveat. 10 sprays in 10 different locations on skin won’t increase longevity because each will evaporate at a similar rate (generally). But multiple sprays on the same location does seem to increase longevity to for me (just like a glass of water will take much longer to fully evaporate than the same volume spread over a large surface). My thoughts on the glass of water analogy, which I see often, are that it is different from applying multiple sprays on different on one location. First of all, skin is an absorbent surface, unlike glass. Second, the sprays on your skin are not contained in the way liquid would be contained in a water glass. They spread out as they absorb.
That being said, I never spray more three times in one spot, and I don’t notice a difference in longevity even with that. What I just said in the previous paragraph is theoretical. I’ve never actually performed the experiment to see if an unreasonable amount of sprays in one spot would affect evaporation. And I never will. 😆
When i have a new sample (or blind buy) I typically try 3 sprays on my forearm to test it before I wear it out.

Best honest tips....behind neck is best place to get whiffs of perfume or perfume oils....i have question doesn't applying on collar bone cause nose blind? Its near the nose?

After shower, after I moisturized. I do one of your rounds. 1 left back neck 1 right back neck and 1 back neck... The I go an continue with my shaving or whatever I'm doing..... I repeat the same steps just when I'm about to leave the house... + 1 spray in my chest . Usually has passed 1 + hrs between applications.... Trust me... Projection and longevity are insane. Bonus... You can smell the opening and the middle of the fragrance at the same time....... Try it, you'll thank me later 😊

Sure, tell your viewers not to watch those two earlier videos. You and I both know it will cause many to look them up. As to your main point, I've picked up on your spray routine in videos over the past year and have been roughly following it. Once I stopped spraying the front of my neck and spraying behind the ears I do find I'm more aware of the fragrance during the day. I also spray the back of my hand. I spend most days sitting in front of a computer. Often, I'll rest my chin in my hand. Spraying the hand allows me to smell the fragrance as well. You'd think spraying my wrist would work, but that doesn't seem to work for me.

I only occasionally spray my forearms in the summer. But my wrists rub on things all day, so I don’t spray them.
Just get an atomizer and reapply through the day. Done. 🔥🔥
2 sprays can be too much imo. Often it’s possible to do 2 half sprays. With Sauvage elixir for example, I do 2-4 baby sprays cz it has that super pressurized atomizer that gives you a lot of control over how much juice comes out

I don’t really worry about it too much anymore because the moisturizers I might use don’t outlast my fragrances scent-wise

Aay Justin, I Have A Question For You. I Noticed That All Your Sprays Are Around The Neck Area. However, Do Your On Pulse Points or Parts Of Your Arm. Growing I Was Told This Where The Scent Lasts At.
I choose not to spray my arms because the scent will rub off in one way or another throughout the day. Maybe during the summer I’ll spray my forearms since they’re exposed. But not usually. The scent usually remains undisturbed on my neck unless I have a high collar jacket or a hood, but even so it still stays on my person.

Where do you rate something like PDM Percival and Aventus Green Irish Tweed? I got both recently and just dont feel there lasting as much as Id expect the, might be my skin chemistry but curious if im under spray.
I rate fragrances purely on scent, and not performance. Percival is a 7 and GIT is an 8.5. The bottles I have of them happen to perform well.
Does anyone not like the smell of Molecule 01? I wear it daily and I’m totally anosmic to it but people tell me it smells amazing; most people can’t figure out where the smell is coming from which I also love because I would be mortified if I was that guy that fills up the room, I don’t care how good something smells I don’t want to smell someone before they enter the room. I don’t personally like to wear fragrances but I’m a cook and got sick of people telling me I smell like food. The reason I ask though is because I don’t like any of the other Molecules; I think they all smell like bug spray. I’ve never had anyone say it doesn’t smell good but when I take certain medications I can smell it for some reason and it’s not a pleasant smell to me but I don’t think I’m getting the same smell everyone else is getting.
I like Molecule 01! Definitely a special scent.

I think that’s fine too. The under the shirt spray is just a personal one I use to smell my own scent periodically throughout the day.

My wrists rub on things all day, including getting at least partially washed throughout the day, so anything sprayed there is short-lived.
For us bald guys, unfortunately spaying the back of the ears/neck can burn after a fresh shave.

Most likely won’t be detectable. I’m not much of a hoodie guy myself.
I only wear one cologne all year round, so I put it on my hoodies🤷♂️
