I had covid in November last year, lasted about 6 weeks with the first 3 weeks being very sick! 3 months later and my hair is falling out daily at an alarming rate. In 3 weeks I've lost about 35% to 40% of my hair. I disagree with the dermatologists about it being about stress. I have went through way way more stressful times and my hair never fell out. Its obvious its covid related because that's what almost everyone who had covid is saying. I pray it stops falling out soon.

Firstly, so grateful to have this video along with other research because I thought it was only me. I have thick long curls and my hair started falling out 2 weeks ago. For context I got Covid in July 2022 (I’m very careful and work from home but got it from a roommate who was traveling 🥴). Anywho, if you’re able, make sure you start taking your multivitamins, eat leafy greens like spinach and kale, or sweet patoto , eggs and chicken etc. anything that has natural biotin and protein. Our bodies went through shock which stressed out the hair follicles and Covid caused deficiency in our system. According to my circle of friends, some people waited 6 months - 1 year to before seeing growth while others saw change in a month. we’re all different but the best thing you can do for your system is fuel it with good food. Wishing everyone success 🤍 this isn’t permanent according to doctors.

I'm glad too...I figured it out before the video but NO ONE has a remedy...just have to wait te hair cycle out. One thing I do NOT do is brush from the root to end...covid affects hair strands in the 3rd and final stage of hair growth (strands about to shed). However, the way she is brushing her hair, she will pull OUT MORE before it's ready for the shedding stage...🤦🏽‍♀️

Second of all, if you do brush your hair wet, atleast start from the ends and work your way up cause if you don't you will also lose more hair...... I highly doubt the "hair loss" is from covid since she was basically ripping her own hair out. I can see if she was to have natural hair loss it would be from the stress.

My 17 year old daughter takes bath and we’ve all got Covid here at home. On day 4 of Covid she got out of bath crying saying mom look my hair is falling 😢😢😢 she collected it in bath to show. It was so sad. So we just noticed on day 4 she brushed after bath and more came out. Very very aad! Everyone says months later, but her loss was almost immediately. She has 2 vaccine shots and we contracted Covid about a year later from our vaccine. Her journey is just beginning so I don’t know end result. Sad thing is she has long beautiful hair (she loves hair) and hair is her most loved thing about her self 😢

Any major physical condition that is a stressor on the body can cause this. Called telogen effluvium. The bodies reaction to illness or stress that affects hair follicles. I'm sure covid can cause this like many other stressors on the body can as well.

I’ve lost most of my hair due to being a long haul covid survivor (meaning I had covid but still deal with symptoms of covid even when I test negative) and my hair started coming out in handfuls. I’m not a stressed out person, but I literally have to get extensions and this woman is being called a Karen because everyone wants to follow what everyone else is saying GROW UP

2 months after I had covid I was loosing thick brush fills of hair . I would loose large handfuls in the shower too. I got the delta I. August of 21 and it’s feb 22 and I still and loosing hair but
Not nearly as bad. I take biotin and plenty of other vitamins. Thankfully I had thick hair to begin with but I think I’ve lost about 75%. My skin texture has also change and my hair texture as well. Be well and stay healthy ♥️

I have lost a disturbing amount of hair after contracting COVID-19. There is been a lot of weird signs after I have gotten that illness. I have gotten a really bad horrible shortness of breath which is very weird considering the fact that I already have severe asthma. It's weird because I know that I have very thick hair-
and the other day I wasted an entire bottle of dye because I thought I had thin hair because the appearance of my hair was thin due to the amount of hair loss I had due to COVID-19.
