The tech manual says install cam sprockets in the position you remove them implying that the proper install position is necessary. The sprockets have a notch on them as well. Do you know proper position to install vvt csm sprockets?
I don't think it "has" to but it is a lot easier and this subframe along w alot of newer stuff is simple to pull. And of its electric instead of power steering you make less of a mess and get it done quicker
Just one thing you are ignoring you gotta remove the bolt in the back of the intake camshaft, for propper timing
Trying to do the timing on mine. First time, trying not to mess it up let's see. Thanks for the info
How’d it go?
@@kbrown4023 well I did something wrong. it started! but a ton of fluid came leaking out immediately. Looked like oil and transmission fluid.
I'm dealing with removal of the pully any help would be great
Where did you buy those timming tools from
thanks you were right

how do you get the vacuum pump drive out of the back of the cam to put the tool in
I belive it spins off, see the head can fit a socket
To do that job does the engine have to come out

Anytime it's a all silicone cover, i prefer the engine to be out. And if you are doing broken motor mounts the labor time can cover you.
