Uranium glass is perfectly safe and a neat collector's item - it gives off radiation but so little that it makes no difference. I wouldn't recommend using them daily but only because they're limited, no longer made and much better off being kept safe in a vitrine.
right up until it is smashed
@@Snoopsthecat All glass is dangerous when smashed. But yes, it's a collectors item meant to be displayed, not actually used.
41:22 - From Wikipedia -- The orizuru (折鶴 ori- "folded," tsuru "crane"), origami crane or paper crane, is a design that is considered to be the most classic of all Japanese origami. In Japanese culture, it is believed that its wings carry souls up to paradise, and it is a representation of the Japanese red-crowned crane, referred to as the "Honourable Lord Crane" in Japanese culture. A thousand orizuru strung together is called senbazuru (千羽鶴), meaning "thousand cranes", and it is said that if someone folds a thousand cranes, they are granted one wish.
me reading this: ohh ma-- OHHH *sounding like an old man gasping*
I'm gonna go get me a genie worth of cranes.
no because robin plugging lexi is so adorable
The wiring for the (wheelchair) fencing is for score keeping. The tip has a bit that registers a hit and when it pushes into the opponent's body, it registers a point on a scorboard.

You can get runts in Australia. You can usually find them at lolly shops and international food shops.
Ron Peasly is something I didn’t need to see today, but I’m glad I did
55:15 ima turn that shit into a club and call it grandma so when people start pissing me off, ima tell them “back the hell off or me and my grandma are gonna whoop you’re ass.”
Love how despite how hecced up the Japanese government is, they still took the time and put in the money to give their citizens care packages.
What did we get in the richest country on earth? A tiny fraction of what a person needs to survive
A country which only has 3x amount of people with 5x larger economy so usa could easily afford same package as japan for over 500 million people
@shakunimama936 doesn't change the fact that what the US gave its citizens wan't enough to survive on
I don't think we're even the real kind of rich. We're the fake rich where you look like you have a lot of money because you just don't spend it on anything like a nornal person would.
16:04 fruity pebbles? No.
Corny pebbles? Absolutely.
me trying to hit a punching bag:
my glasses: i go *WEEEEEE!*
yeah i sometimes accidentaly punch my glasses off. ha, ha.
You know you’re getting good sleep when one of these starts playing
56:07 a library i go to has something similar but for smaller things like paper and glue, a lot of things students would need. I'm pretty sure they have like pads and tampons too which is cool. They also do a lot of free teen oriented programs which is really nice. I wish more libraries had the funding to do stuff like that.

That's mildly interesting and mildly terrifying. Highways are gonna be more terrifying than ever before!

This is just really wholesome. It's cool, yes, but the fact that this birthday card was still being exchanged between them for 32 years is just so wholesome. I'm proud of them for keeping this tradition alive for the past 3 decades.

Imagine finding out that the most beautiful piece of wood was just nature accidentally drawing a city.

This is beyond decoration, this is just miniature architecture.

Yass my fav narrator and a subreddit I love, great way to start my morning!
1 hour gang! 👇
41:29 I hate to say it, but packing peanuts are actually made with starch, as in the edible kind. They are literally made of the same stuff as like popcorn, or cheetos, and are edible. Ergo also making them biodegradable. The more you know ig.
jack questioning the runtz banana:
me whos also australian: *checks comments*
19:25 “if I had a nickel for every time an inanimate object made a treble clef, I’d have two nickels, which is strange that it’s happened twice.”
12:24 Those are not sketches of teachers in the twenties but Dickens characters, probably copied from the prints in the books.
I Think George got a little TOO curious
i think ive seen that one before
White Eggplants are an older breed, the reason why they are called eggplants, Purple Eggplants are a much more recent breed.
Jack and Robin have the most soothing voices so I always use these videos as ASMR to fall asleep to. Very effective.
7:52 honestly, i think this is smart, normal when people view reviews they look at negative ones to see how bad it *can* be
30:00 Sales tax varies widely from place to place because the federal government is not empowered to levy sales tax, and the states, counties, and cities are.
And where sales tax is involved, they often all contribute to the sales tax you pay.
Here in Dallas, Texas the state collects 6.25% and the city collects an additional 2%, totally 8.25% of every purchase......EXCEPT there's a lot of exceptions. Food needed to live isn't taxed. Prepared hot foods are taxed if you eat on the premises, but not if you get takeout or drive-thru. Liquor is taxed extra, as are cigarettes and other "personal vice" or luxury items. Yes, it's a complex web, but that's why we have SOOOO many accountants.
39:19 you can force factory reset a computer even if you don't have the password or previous email info of the computer, especially on a laptop. So even if the computer is completely shut down, someone will probably steal it anyway just to reset it and sell it.
Thankfully SSDs are significantly easier to destroy than hard drives.

Man this channel is therapeutic!
First time watching an emkay video before it’s a day old 👍
22:00 Yes, the UK is still stuck in time from when we challenged doctor who to a timeline breaking contest.
5:33 I think jack had some trauma from when he was a child, most likely involving chickens
13:46 jack ilysm, so for u and any other non-americans who may not know: we have two major Washingtons! There's Washington D.C., which is a tiny 'independent' district inside Virginia. We also have Washington state, on the northern West Coast! very different climates, WA is much prettier than D.C. by far ^-^
30:00 as an American, I agree, we hate it too! 😖
Jack not knowing Arnold Schwarzenegger was a California governor surprised me, and then I realized how weird that really is and now I get it😂
This scratches the itchy part of my brain
The potato escaping itself at 9:04, looks like Cyborg Franky of the Straw Hat Pirates escaping the potato 😁

the millennium falcon is entirely gray except for the blue flame produced by the engine, which if your colorblind to blue, is the not gray part, along with any reflections.
13:45 it might help to understand that "Washington" is not the same thing as "Washington DC" - Washington state is where Seattle is in the NE of the US
18:34 i was expecting a person to say "All of his coworkers were gone, what could it mean?"
“stanley decided to go to the meeting room, perhaps he has simply missed a memo.”
The cakes are baked in Hoboken, but are then frozen and delivered to the machines, which are across the usa
We also have some here in Canada. (Only one I've seen is in the Rideau Centre in Ottawa, so can't speak for the rest of the country)
5:15 that coat is enchanted with protection 79 and unbreaking 53
16:00 yeah nearly all watermelon flavored things absolutely suck
35:56 no that's versus mode for those who want to crap competitively
“All New Yorker’s are all bark and no bite”? I lived there for 8 years, and I tell this story to all my friends. I was walking down a street, and some guy tried to give me a pack of baseball cards and drugs. Obviously I didn’t take it, but I was like a kid.
Funnel web spider sounds like the name of a VPN.
22:40 I actually also have a sand collection, but mines a bit different. Whenever I excavate at an archaeology site, I take samples of sand from different stratas in the soil and bottle it. I've done this for quite a few years now, and its weird looking at the different variations that you can run into.
20:01 the dramatic irony is unreal
You are right on ingredients saving
@26:14 There are a ton of plane wrecks throughout the mountains in California during WWII.

55:35 - That is going to be paying *for* food home delivery since you can't go out.
1:49 what's more impressive is the picture of the bathroom also has a picture of itself in the picture and by the look of it within that picture is another picture of the picture in the bathroom
8:20 The frozen pizza is Wegman's Ultra Thin Crust.
I just had to know, so I put part of the image through the google lens, and I added the text I was able to read along the bottom edge of the box. Idk where I can buy it, but I wasn't about to let the mystery persist.

16:53 pop tarts are bangers. How could anyone call them disgusting?
taxes in America are different in every region of every city in every state in the union and they change often a simple vote of a city council can change them in a days time and therefore making any menu or price listed with the taxes included irrelevant and in need of redoing so it is just financially smarter to add it yourself based on where you are buying things.
I live down in Florida and we even have the cake vending machines, they're not just in New Jersey!
23:23 I wanna see the star wars themed seats in the plane!!
26:12 the game the forest reference coming up

51:04 I feel like it didn't grow under the paint, somebody just came by with a stencil or something and painted the covered part of the sign on to the tree
Jack missed the best part of the bathroom pic. The bathroom pic has a bathroom pic in the same spot. I want to track the op down bc i need to know if the pic in the pic's pic has a pic of the bathroom

Sales tax can vary by city, so big chains especially are encouraged to not use prices with sales price included.

I remember reading the curious gorge book shown at 23:31 - 23:49 when I was growing up. Thought it looked familiar.
Still figuring out what was in the bottle
Or the full name
8:11 Ron Peasly
That eyeprint hurt me, like actually, I felt the pain because I punched myself in the face after that.
38:38 the middle one looks like James spader when he playing Raymond Redington.
51:14 I love that. But isn’t part of it also the noise?
46:01 as someone from Illinois, that’s just how it looks all the time
28:39 IIIIIIII NEEEEEED IIIIIIIT!!!
Same! I loved Blue's Clues as a kid! The revival "Blue's Clues & You!" is also amazing! I've been watching it as an adult.
19:29 Your 'beet'ing heart?!🤭
