this is very powerful. our boys need to hear this and we as fathers need to listen to this as well. our boys dont cry the act out because they dont know how to cry. our boys act out their emotions and they dont know how to release their true emotions. most men dont know how to release and cry because pur fathers taught us that crying was a sign of weakness. i would love to meet this brother and learn from him on how to teach inner city young men with my program. salute to you both!!!

It takes strength to care. This is deep. I could definitely relate.

This was BEAUTIFUL! I think being a "man" means different things depending on one's background. I just subscribed! Respect!😊❤✊🏾

That’s my credo too! I give my kids what I longed for as a kid, and what I long for now.

This is beautiful. “Courageous, compassionate, strong, sensitive” are qualities we should all aspire to. Makes for a well rounded individual.
My father was physically present, but emotionally absent, workaholic. I’ve never seen him cry, not even a silent tear. Not even when his brother died by suicide. He once told me he couldn’t cry even if he wanted to. I think that’s a shame.

Nonsense. Boys aren't supposed to be soft. Life is hard. Boys need FATHERS. FATHER'S. FATHER'S. I'll say it again. FATHER'S.

You are correct. We don't want men to be more like women, we want them to BE men. Men are tough, men do fight, men shouldn't whine and complain. Mixed messages here - they got it all wrong.

Life is a lot easier unless boys aren’t ashamed of expressing themselves while taking other things into account.
