Interesting design. When getting into watches I noticed people are expecting watch to be visible all night through just from being exposed to regular light, I guess that's happening only on watches with some very strong lume. Everyone is mostly bashing Casio for weak lume and initially I fell under same impression. Though I've found lume of nowadays, without radioctive particles, needs some boost before night if you want to see it. Cheap Casio diver gets some 15-20 minutes under desk lamp and in a dark bedroom I can still see glowing hands and digits/marks at morning. Other cheap Casio radio sync watch does same. Today I left latter watch on a windowsill to do a sync at night and at morning it were glowing - not being charged under lamp, just from catching weak morning light of overcast December's day starting in Northern hemisphere. Maybe lume on it were, like, broken into by first longer exposures to light? That sounds unlikely. I don't really need to see watch at night but it's nice to know even cheap watches can do a lume trick if I want to. And understand how easy is to get sucked into lume spiral. Watch lovers just want to see their treasures day and night)
I have a small 3500k floodlight in the kitchen as an evening background light. Just 5w, but it charges the watch before going to sleep in like 3s if you put it next to it :D And if lume is strong it is enough just to keep the watch on the wrist while brushing teeth before going to sleep.. Those lights in the showers mirror are strong enough.
You just made an important point, I guess - color temperature. The warmer the light (closer to sunlight), the stronger boost to lume. So no really need to use UV flashlights as many of watch reviewers do, but I get - they just accelerate process for sake of speed to incorporate into review.
What is the point putting lumed hands on a full lume dial watch? Rather put full dark hands a full lume dial makes the biggest contrast, IMHO. I like full lume dials, I hope Militado will make this step sometimes (hopefully with the ML07 or ML 08 as the ML 05 is too big for me - yes, the lug-to-lug is too long, I have small wrists as well, 16cm/6,3").
That sounds good but in reality has problems. If you have a short period of exposure to high light intensity, and then look at the time in the dark 10 minutes later, you will see two minute hands. The real minute hand, and the shadow of the minute hand which was left 10 minutes ago. It's one of the reasons a full lumed dial watch still benefits from lumed hands (just with dark outline).

@@event4216 no, I think it is not about the color, it is about lumens - intensity. Mostly, probably..
How about a video on this? Probably that would interest more people?
@@event4216 well, I don't have knowledge on that and I am not trying to fake smart, so I will pass :D
Great review, thank you!
Can you consider to make review on Ixdao Engineer MOP? I know, that you not fan of bracelets, but still :)
