    My review of a Malaysian Bidor Golok Perak (s71.co/3wV85g9), with handle upgrade done by MyParang.com. 5160 Steel, 12 inch blade length. Here is the factory where these are made: th-cam.com/video/6j3h4BRrMXI/w-d-xo.html. Much like the Thai E-nep, Filipino Barong, and Nepali Kukri, these blades are extremely strong, I recommend them for rough wilderness and survival tasks. Enjoy the big steel! :]

      Did you have to ask them to do the upgrade or do they come already like that?

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives

      @@lonewandererbushcraftwildc6822 Already like that. Myparang does it as their business, so all of them have the good handle, and they sell them on US Amazon, good stuff.

    Definitely wouldn't mind picking one of these up, though funds are kinda tight at the moment so it will have to wait.

    Badass, I have one in transit, and just realized I’d never actually seen one, nice video. I also have the parang Tangkin, myparang handles are fabulous, they are indeed beasts of tools. Also, don’t apologize for batonning lolz, I think it’s safer and more efficient than splitting with a hatchet/small ax, period. The control alone is worth it, and I don’t feel like it’s any slower than a small axe, especially if there’s a mis hit, head gets stuck, etc. Batonning: the most useless internet controversy of all time. I baton, even though I own axes, even with non full tang knives (gasp), and so should all of you lol.

    Looks excellent! In my mind, it’s a great all purpose option. Though I would supplement it with a smaller knife for detailed work and reserve this for plowing though heavy wood.

    Do you have any experience cutting bamboo with all of your various machetes? I have so much bamboo at my house it's hard to keep under control & I was just wondering what the best machete is for that purpose?

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not much bamboo where I live right now, but I think a cane machete would be best, they work for chopping sugar cane, I think they would be good for bamboo.

      You should try with this my parang, go buy HD Duku Chandong.. It's a real beast.. wrap with paracord at middle i mean similar chopping blade competition, your machete wont fly away.. don't forget wear heavy duty rubber gloves or garden gloves..

    I feel it's possible to chop so much you ruin the temper on the blade Edge

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From the heat and friction? I am not sure. It probably has earned its price already if we chop that much.

  • @juanedoses8715
    @juanedoses8715 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not convinced that the rat tail tang is better, what is evident that they designed it with the limited resources at hand, traditional designs die hard but I would like to see a full tang and D hand guard.

      Possibly, 5160 can come from truck leaf springs.
