    My review of a Malaysian Bidor Parang (s71.co/3lUQZZz ), with handle upgrade done by MyParang.com. 5160 Steel, 12 inch blade length. Here is the factory where these are made: th-cam.com/video/6j3h4BRrMXI/w-d-xo.html. Much like the Thai E-nep, Filipino Barong, and Nepali Kukri, these blades are extremely strong, I recommend them for rough wilderness and survival tasks. Enjoy the big steel! :]

      I wonder if you ground a small portion of the blade super sharp near the handle where you never make contact with the chop sharp enough to do some slicing style tasks for when you don’t have a knife handy but want to cut like weed whip line or an apple or whatever I could see this replacing 3 tools in a pinch

    MyParang is a solid machete! Machete is our EDC in the province back in the Philippines. My favorite is Duku Chandong 12"....I also have the 8" for kitchen use. Great Video thanks!

    Further up from the handle, the section where the Bidor logo stamp is, serves as handle for better control in wood work.

    Took me awhile to get a good look at your "improvised" mallet? Maybe you could give it a quick very brief, (20seconds(ish)) statement on how you made it? I’m interested "mostly" about the HANDLE, and how it was put on. Either way, thanks

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, bro! I carved it form a single large piece of firewood with my Estwing Carpenter's Hatchet, and then wrapped the handle with some electrical tape.

    What's the best over all Camp knife / machete?
    Nepali Kukri / Parang or ?

    • @WeAllJuggleKnives
      @WeAllJuggleKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like the Thai machetes, but they are hard to find now. But whether Nepali Kukri, Thai E-nep, or Malaysian Parang or Golok, they are all forged 5160 steel. So they all have the same basis, just in different blade shapes.

    • @SilverGoldVideos
      @SilverGoldVideos 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WeAllJuggleKnives I just want something that can perform the most Camp Tasks.

    • @lagubrok92
      @lagubrok92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SilverGoldVideos Kukri : thicker and heavier gives it an excellent chopping power, but the weight will drain your energy and stamina faster. Suitable for normal camping where energy and stamina conservation is not an issue (you bring your own food supply, fire starter kit, not many crafting etc)
      Parang/golok : thinner and lighter, slightly inferior than kukri or axe in chopping power, but nimbler and easier to control, less strain and drain on your energy and stamina. Suitable for a survival type camping where energy and stamina conservation is your priority where you need to craft many things, hunt-skin-clean for food, etc.
      Both are fine for the typical camping tasks. It is only a matter of which one conserves your energy and stamina the most.

      I have the Condor, the steel on the Bidor is a bit better. Bidors have a tapered tang that will dissipate force, the tang is thickest near the "guard," comes to a point near the pommel.

      I would definitely go with this parang, and get a cheap Kydex or even save for a decent sheath for it, it’s worth every penny!! Think I’m about to order the “heavy” version of this Parang, I’ve had a plastic handle Bidor for over 10 yrs now and it’s just amazing how it chops, idk what it is that parang forward angle and rat tang just does it better than everything(choppers/machetes) else in my lineup it feels!! Love choking up for fine carving on the thinner part of the parang, feels great almost just like a smaller 4inch or so fixed blade, it just does it all, And the convex grind😍 Carrying the Bidor parang with a silky saw is my perfect combo, and both together are STILL lighter to carry than an axe! Of course I always still got my old case stockman or sak in my pocket, and BRK Gunny LT on my hip! But if I had to pick ONE cutting tool I could carry, I think I could get by with just a parang!

    This IS the END of the world. We are at the final years, after this chaos, when the one world leader appears, as a "savior" of humanity, then it's only 7 years left, fro mthe day that one appears. You all know his name, as you all should have known, where the chaos that the world is going through, come from, and what's the purpose of all these. Jesus proved for one more. We have seen all the signs, He told as, that we will see, before His coming, all except the false prophete, which is either already here, or will appear in the near future. That's not an opinion, that's facts. God bless you all!
