Life Let Us Cherish ( Mr Harry Boyd - 1909 ) HMV 101 Portable Gramophone

In the early part of the last century Harry Boyd ran a musical instrument shop based in Newcastle Upon Tyne England specialising in concertinas. He commissioned instruments from the very best makers insisting that they only used their finest craftsmen & reed makers on his instruments. Today on the rare occasions that these concertinas turn up they command very high prices & are soon snapped up by musicians. Here is a very rare recording he made in 1909 of “Life Let Us Cherish“ which is playing here on one of my HMV 101 portable gramophones .
