As perfect as this is, it makes the Aprilia RSV4 Factory SE look like a bargain at US$20,000. Just need to buy carbon wheels and you've got something that is 90 percent there + some cool safety features for far less money.

its not about the speed or ripping throught the track with ducatis bikes. Its the experience and the elegance.

Why would you compare an 899 to a Desmosedici.....? That's just pointless
Man, that's a nice bike, I'm a Yamaha fan and I've always owned yamahas, but this Ducati is nice. I wish yamaha would do the same and come out with a M1 Replica for the public, then I would even spend $100K for it. But this Ducati is Awesome!!!

if honda made a true motogp replica, it would be more expensive, but it would blow this bike away absolutely.
Same price to insure as a Ninja 650 too!

In Australian dollars, its $105,000. Twice the price of a Ducati 1198R, but 1 is a Superbike and 1 is a work of art and like all works of art, they constantly increase in value. Fuck it, i'm getting 1. Bargain!!

WHOAA!! it already has a shit loads of torque. Its a twin 1198 cc... Trust me man, not many people can ride 1000cc to their potentials except for profesionals... hell not many people can pilot 600cc's to its potential.

becuase the exhaust is to loud
with the exhaust which alowed is you only 180ps

i know a guy on a forum who tipped it over in his garage and cost a total of 25k to repair it. Not cheap. imagine dropping it ona track...not fun. just like u, i would rather buy a bunch of 600 supersports and track them up.
@yoGOES How am i criticizing you? You are Such an uptight person. I'm giving you some friendly constructive advice that might save your life someday down the road. And yes when i go anywhere, even a mile down the road, i throw my gear on...(had to many close calls in the neighborhood) and when i go out for joy rides i wear, Full leathers, boots, gloves. MY gf even has gear so when she wants to go out riding.. Its all about safety dude. You don't have a cage. I was once just like you, a squid.
Honda make lawnmower and cement mixer engines... cant understand how anyone could support them over Ducati, they are just a faceless corporation, they may be good bikes in technical terms but I know I would rather have an Italian in my garage any day.
The Desmosedici is the closest thing to a motogp bike. It just has turn signals and mirrors to make it street legal. And speak some English (no pun intended).
If you had 70k in the first place you would not buy the bike unless you had shit loads more money to maintain it so I guess you would have to think of 70k to be pocket money and not care if you crashed it to own one of these.
I personally would not buy one, would buy a couple of zx10's and set them up to be full race bikes. Quick as!

If u can't ride it at what it makes now, what makes u think u could handle more power..? Doesn't make any sense. Not trying to be mean to you, but if u don't know how to ride An SS then don't get one. start on something smaller and work your way up.. motorcycles aren't things u want to toy around with...

Just because its new doesn't mean its better. 1098 is faster round the track as prooved by mcn.

@forestguymon Tbh id rather be out on any sports bike, on a good road, with good weather, than having sex, motorbikes are just like beer, way better than women.
Plus you can have sex in whatever conditions, here in the UK, you dont pass up good weather riding for anything, who knows when the sun will come out again!
