I seen one of these Desmosedici's on the streets a few years ago while walking. Never seen one since. Bike was a beast! Heard it blocks away and knew i was in for something special.
Guys, the mic gain is too high thats why you're picking up so much of the race track and the presenter is clipping the rest of the time. If you have it on it's lowest there must be a pad somewhere on the mic or the camera pre amp. Please get it sorted because all your videos are excellent but the sound quality is pants.
What made this RR different for the other RR's produced? Having 203 bhp is a big jump from the 165-170 stated in the beginning of the video. Other RR's with the full race exhaust were still reported at the 170 bhp range.

If they make a full-run production V4 model they can take my money as soon as it launches. Coolest and best engine in a bike I've had a chance to ride was the Aprilia RSV4. If I could get that motor in a monocoque chassis like my Panigale I'd probably never buy another bike for a long time. I still have no idea why there is such a limited selection of V4 bikes.
I would say a Busa is a Super Sport/Touring bike.. it's really only designed to go in straight lines or really long bends in the road. It is a bike that was designed to "Tour" with a swath more HP for those long sweeping curves.. not twisty's.
Its how a bike is ridden that matters most, i trounced one at a track day last year on my BMX Only joking i love the Des and if i had the money mine would be even more trick than that. If its possible.
I'd like to see you go up against him on the bike on that track...200hp is a lot. the new ZX-10's are probably up there in power..but that bike is really light too... and your Hayabusa...is not gonna keep up with him on a race track. Heck..your busa won't keep up with me on my 600 on a race track.
MCN was really making some pisspoor videos back then... and all their videos about the Desmo seem to be so careless, underproduced, and missing tons of valuable info/commentary/footage. I’m glad they’ve gotten a good bit better

@DucRacerX according to my knowledge, a desmo delivers around peak hp in (170's) ... and i knw a Full 200 hp on crank will give you smthng in (180's) hp at the crank i.e a bmw s1000rr and i saw a Vid, for zx10 it was also giving 200 on dyno and the tuner said that it has 220 hp at the crank .... sOO i think similar to that bike! this desmo owner must hav after market ECU and exhaust.... + could be smthng related to ignition or cam timing ????
@DucRacerX look dynojet power commander and then ECu's and exhaust and air filters... every one does this but the increase in Hp is not that much! i believe he must have tweaked ignition/cam timing toO ...

Have to correct myself. The RR is NOT comparable to the BMW, as it is RaceTech for the road. Besides, that kind of technology has its price (more than double, what the BMW costs).

How is it that every MCN video is on youtube is so poorly done? People most likely want to see more motorcycle than tester- #1 show details of the bike while you are speaking. #2 put the mic closer to your mouth so the viewer can more clearly understand you or do another take after the other bike clears out. #3 Explain what was done to the bike to gain 30 hp. Most Ducati fans are curious about more than rims and paint I'm guessing. Raise production standards to match your title graphics. Thanks
If you want to talk about their extinction, look to Honda, and the fact that noone could make an emissions compliant race replica to sell to the public (500cc), not the riding dynamics. Suter racing technology, google it, and see their 500cc direct injection sportsbike, smoke a desmo like noones business when it is released.

@didierrL01 I'm not knocking the desmo. Sure it's a sweet bike. However unless I were a billionaire I would never buy one. Because for the same price, I can have 5 bikes (ZX10, CBR1000) that are all faster in a straight line and AS fast in the corners.
