To the ignorant people who disrespect Coolio for using this song as a sample- he used this song with tact and grace. He explained in Gangsta's Paradise how horrible gang life truly is, and how the world he lives in has set him to be the gang banger he is. Truly, Coolio made a masterpiece from a masterpiece. Please understand how a sample works.

This one's very strong, though Stevie wrote many really powerful, meaningful and topical/timely songs. It’s hard to pick just one as the best. Superstition, Living for the City, Happy Birthday (to MLK), Higher Ground, It’s Wrong (Apartheid), You Haven’t Done Nothing. And then there are the several dozen “feel good” songs!

great song Stevie Wonder. It reminds me of the ability to practice mindfulness and live truly in the gift of the present. I believe it is possible to make rational choices. Instead of living in the memories of yesterday and hopes of the future. It is possible to be fully present right now. The future is determined by the choices made in the gift of the present, not those of the past or the future :)

After close observation, it seems Stevie knew about things that many of us are just learning about!! It's also a genius coup de etat to allow the lyrics to work for both the known and the profane. Actually , the whole Songs in the Key of Life album is written in that fashion. Ahh to be lulled to sleep by his inventive melodies--or snatched out of a deep slumber by the clanging symbols and thick gong of this song.

This Song Pastime Paradise is Stevie Wonders original song from his album "Key of Life"! Coolio did not ruined this song! The rap song by Coolio is "Gangstas Paradise" is a song to Disneys movie "Dangerous Minds"! L.V. was the man behind the Ide by Coolios rap! See the music movie Coolio vs Stevie and you understand!
