How exciting! For me, Encens and Oud a L'amour sound wonderful. And, I love the idea that the line are aphorisms with all its implications. Brilliant. 🤩
Excellent Report! I am extremely interested in the Rose, Oud, and Clemetine. I know these are going to be pocket blasters, however, he is one of my favorite perfumers. I will probably end up with them all! Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉😊
I'm really excited for these. I absolutely love the bottles and I have a lot of faith in Mr. Ropion and his work. Encens Insense, Crazy Garden, and Oud A L'amour are particularly interesting to me. I'll definitely have to try and get a discovery set or something. Thanks for your thoughts.
It’s the iPhone 16 Pro Max cinematic feature, which I only use when I’m not holding a bottle otherwise it has focusing issues but microphone is the same.
Thank you for noticing. I was actually shooting this way earlier, but it has a tendency to not focus when I’m holding up bottles so I stopped using it but when I don’t have any bottles to hold up, then I switch to this format.
I’ll be in London in March. Do you think I can test them somewhere in person? I wasn’t planning to go to Paris on this particular trip. A discovery set of these fragrances would be amazing.
The book discusses his early life and career, as well as some insights into the development of fragrances he has authored like Portrait of a Lady and Alien.
I guess the book is a collection of theories or principles by Dominique Ropion. In French an "aphorisme" is a short sentence used to summarize a theory or a principle "Aphorismes d'un parfumeur" would be pretty much a theory book of a perfumer. I haven't read the book so I don't exactly know what it is about, but I would wager it's a series of theories about his life as a perfumer and the various associations he made with each note over the years. It's likely these perfumes are based on said theories that are described in his book.
I think it’s quite poetic that he created one of the best tuberose fragrances in the world called “carnal” and went with the name “innocent” for his own brand. I think the notes list is deceiving lol

New camera and microphone? The quality is crisp!

Well the video looks mighty good!

@ do it more often (if no bottles on hand). The Cinematic quality is Oscar worthy

Who knows, maybe. Depends on how fast they roll them out! :)

Once again asking for a review of the five new releases from Diptique, especially Bois Corse and Lilyphea.
I’m uncertain if I’m going to too pricey that’ll cost me over $1500 for five bottles in fact maybe close to $2000. Who knows though maybe
Extremely disappointing releases, especially given the price
Encens Insensé 260€
Innocent Tuberose 260€
Crazy garden 260€
A Rose is a rose 290€
My Clementine 290€
Oud à l’amour 330€
All 50ml
Can you do some more Zara please
You may have mentioned it, where are these retailing?
Uncertain so far but they did have a storefront in Paris and most likely they are going to roll out little by little. 😀
Neroli and Patchouli ❤
Crazy garden seems interesting. Hopefully it is green citrusy
My favorite but I want to wear/test these!!
I'd lean towards Encens Insense.
I hope they are strong with big silage
I hope so too but my experience they were on first sniffs.
Oud is 330 euro , with the others being 260 and 290 euro each
Unfortunately no webshop, and Fragrantica have parfumes but no Reviews yet

I can't wait to try them!
