    Hello Rachel, I am a safety specialist & I enjoy your videos. I show a few of them in my OSHA 10 classes. The Fall Protection & Heat Stress videos are my go to videos if my class doesn't last as long as it should. I have a request for a focus four video covering all four categories in about a 20 minute video. I could use it as a recap after I complete the focus four portion of my class. Thanks, and keep up the great work.

    Excellent video. What a treat to have a person with so much passion for safety.
    How about a video on rope access rescue? This fascinates me. Fantastic quality work as usual. Thank you, Jim H. Portland, Or

      Yes, there will be a CSP video that will be coming out next Tuesday, January 10th. Additionally, here is a link to the CIH video: th-cam.com/video/nIGuzgLIdMU/w-d-xo.html

    Was it worth it getting the CIH?

    • @AllySafety
      @AllySafety  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was because I want to continue to do IH work and do more videos in the future on IH topics but the time investment between that and the CSP is a world of difference! The CIH takes a lot more time.

    What about the average worker who doesn't see safety as a value?

    • @AllySafety

      It may be worth making a separate video on this one but I think there are 3 standard approaches that are taken here that are worth considering:
      1. Is it because they don't think accidents happen? If so, you can show them through real-life stories, statistics or some other means? This is why companies sometimes bring in accident survivors to tell their story.
      2. Is it because they find safety too tedious or rule-based? Safety can be off-putting to a lot of people who like to do things their own way. In this case, we need to be able to explain that OSHA has been around 50 years now and the adherence to safety policies and procedures is just part of being a professional today whether that's a truckdriver, tradesperson, machinist, etc.
      3. See if they have a specific problem. Sometimes a small policy decision can be massively impacting their work and we can remove issues.
      4. Make sure you aren't getting into needless debates. I've worked with plenty of people who just want to argue for the sake of arguing and we don't have time for that! At some point, this is what their employer requires, if they don't like it, they should probably bring it up with their manager. In this case, usually the manager knows it's part of doing business and will back you up.
      Hope that helps!

      I don’t! But one I often recommend now is the Meyers-Briggs. You can take it for free here: www.16personalities.com
