When a woman says "good provider" on a date to me I know she's a gold digger or at least only values money and won't be around for any tough times or honestly, just normal times

The quickest way to master anything is to learn who and what you are first. From there learning about learning can help one bridge many gaps. Even between the masculine and feminine. Trial and error is the way. But first know who you are at the deepest levels. At the intersection of all subjects... the source abides.

For any dude out there watching this, dont gauge your hobbies based off of external validation. Find hobbies that are personally fulfilling to you. Theres nothing wrong with trying to increase your attractiveness but at the end of the day you should be investing in yourself and what makes you happy. There's someone out there that will like you for who you are, and building yourself to represent what others tell you will make you "more attractive" is a hollow path not worth walking. It's a good point and well said. But...picking up a hobby, outside your normal maybe, perhaps one a women could enjoy with you is still a worthwhile endeavor. Romance is a 'WE' thing. Example: I'd never let her put a wrench on my bike. But lots of women, at least in Nevada, like to shoot. And a list as long as my leg more also.
None of my hobbies bring me "validation" outside or inside. They are just fun ways to pass spare time, be creative. A hobby WITH HER, still feels like a fun way to pass time. For any Dude reading this, be open to it. One "WE thing" could lead to another. You need to be able to do things together, beyond horizontal bop. It's kinda what the whole LTR thing is about.

Hobbies and interests do make a man more attractive and diverse. If you do get into a relationship don't let the woman take your hobbies from you. So many men have had their hopes, dreams, and opportunities taken away by a relationship. Make sure the relationship compliments your life and is not your life. Also shopping and spending money isn't a hobby ladies.

Cooking is a good hobby. When I was dating, I was flat broke and could not afford restaurants for dates. When I told the women I was dating, that I could cook for them at my apartment, they all dropped me like a hot stone when I explained my finances. I had one girl who took me up on my offer. We had a very nice chicken dinner with wine, soft music and good conversation. We celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year. BTW...my finances have greatly improved since then. That's actually a great filtering technique, because what all those women who dropped you were telling you is thst they are first and foremost looking for a man to foot the bills for a lifestyle they can't afford. And you found that out before wasting any more time and money on them for a first date. Congratulations on your long marriage. It's a shame that the dating market is an even more caustic, degenerate wasteland than it was 25 years ago thanks to the negative impacts of social media, loss of family values and foolish political and legal policies in most western countries.

    Here's my two cents:
I do believe that people are drawn to the feeling they get when they're in the presence of a passionate personality. I think it has less to do with the actual hobby itself, and more to do with how passionate or even obsessive the other person is about a certain topic.
So don't go out there and get a random hobby just to attract people. Because unless you're REALLY passionate it won't count.

Passion. Having passion outside of a relationship is AWESOME for both men and women. It shows that when they are focused, dedicated, and absolutely involved in something that they love to do/talk about, it *could* show up in the relationship towards the person they are dating. Plus, it's less pressure on the other person to provide "entertainment". The person is growing, learning, educating themselves, etc.
It's just so much of a hot thing.
Though of course, there is that balance. If ALL you do is talk about that one thing, then it can get pretty mundane quick. However if it branches out to skills the other person can see (mechanical, electrical, artistry, etc.), then there is that link that can connect to a wider variation of experiences.

I live in a city so my lifestyle seems too active but when I’m out in my scene, I’m too much of a yuppy lol. It’s a weird spot that I’m in. I have learned to enjoy being by myself. I believe you’re only young once and your body is capable of so much. I don’t want to look back and say I wish I would’ve done this when I was young and strong. We live in a day and age where information and opportunity is all around us; Take advantage of that to learn and absorb as much as you can. I’ll save the book reading (I listen to audiobooks) and “Netflix and chill” for when I’m no longer able to move like I used to when I was 20. I don’t necessarily want a girl to enjoy the things I enjoy but understand that this is what keeps me sane and happy. Heck, maybe she can come tag along and enjoy things I enjoy doing and vice versa. Also, it probably doesn’t help that I’m 5’ 6” lol. But I check everything else I believe. And I would also say I’m a bit shallow when it comes to looks.

I’m surprised that something involving music wasn’t on the list. Either singing or playing an instrument gives a huge boost to a man. My father was a professionally trained opera singer and there were women throwing it at him right in front of my mother.
When I was in high school, I had girls call my house and ask if I was home just to hear my dad’s voice. His accent didn’t hurt any too. They knew I was at football practice but they still called anyway.

I started ballroom and swing dancing over the past year and a half. I have always liked dancing, but was always a bit shy about it when I was younger. Part of that is because people my age at the time really only knew how to club dance and that wasn't my jam. Now I am either training with my coaches or social dancing 3 to 4 times a week. I am meeting tons of people and I really hope to meet a nice girl who shares this passion with me.

    • @nosferatualucard2613
      @nosferatualucard2613 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Speaking from my own experience, ballroom dancing is a lot of fun indeed. If you continue to get better at it, it will not take long until you are pretty much in the top 10% best dancers at a regular dancing party (where the theme is ballroom dancing, or swing) or even better. And you will meet plenty of women who would like to dance with you regularly. So people (women) will naturally "accumulate", just as a side effect of you being a good dancer and regularly going to dancing parties. At least that what happened with me, and i am definetely not the extroverted or "player" type really.
Also, at most events i go to, there are usually more women than men (not everytime of course. but most of the time). Secondly, i feel like most women i dance with really find great joy in that hobby (maybe even more than I do), so it buffles me a bit, that you have not found a women yet, that "shares that passion with you", but as I said, it will definitely not take long for you to find something like that.

@@nosferatualucard2613 For context, I am 30 and I am looking for a girl in her early to mid twenties who wants to be a mom primarily. Also, my preferred ballroom coach has taken some time off and I have moved more into the West Coast Swing world. I have been told it is a much younger community.
It isn't that I haven't found ladies who share this passion. It is more that the community is a bit older than I initially estimated. The college girls that frequent the socials that I have gone to are often very reserved and are hard to get to open up in conversation.
All in all, regardless of the style, I am having a ton of fun meeting people in general and practicing my social dance and conversation skills. I went to my first convention style event for WCS two weekends ago and I had a ton of fun. I look forward to more events like that and I am certain that I will cross paths with girls I am looking for sometime soon.

I am current in the process of getting my pilots license and when I mention that to women that I meet they are fairly intrigued. Problem is that flying is an expensive hobby so it’s not accessible to everyone. My opinion is men should have multiple hobbies, especially those you listed in the video. Hobbies for both genders can signify the kind of person they are. A man who travels a lot, plays rugby and has a dog can signify to a woman that this man is a risk taker who’s athletic but is also family oriented.
As a man, what I do find to be attractive in women is a woman who can cook, likes to read and wants to take care of herself in the form of exercise. Instagram is a good background check for men to use because it can show what most women’s hobbies are. What is most certainly unattractive for a man to see is a girl who’s interest is to be in the clubs all the time and posting thirst traps on her social media.

The main problem why dating is messed up is because of social media. Cause before social media, both men and women had a realistic approach towards each other. Where as today, there are some extremely good looking guys on tiktok or Instagram which is not the main problem, the main problem is that those “good looking” guys are only like 2-3% out of 100% and 90-95% women are aiming for top 2-3% men (even the unattractive ones) which is an absolute nightmare for 5/10 or below looks guys. Traveling is not a hobby. Not really. Wandering around the world is not a skill. Travel is what you do for vacation or work. It's not a regular thing. And what women refer to as "traveling" is prohibitively expensive to do often. They want to travel to Acapulco or Italy, not Tennessee.

I mean there're no diffcult languages in this world if you start speaking and listening to it at a very young age and if her children could literally speak both that'be great, but i don't think it's that impressive at all compared to people from Europe mainland, Asia or anywhere in the planet. @@chunsze635 Exactly, the only people who'd be properly impressed by someone being bilingual are monolingual people. Although with the spread of English as a "dominant" language, it hardly counts towards bilingualism these days. On the other hand, a fair amount of people I know are at least trilingual - they speak their native language, they speak English, and they speak Norwegian. I had a phase where I wrote about 100 poems. I've recited some of those on stage. I like watching sport, and visiting sporting events. I have travelled quite a bit in the past. This has helped me in my dating life, because my broad range of interests has resulted in me being able to propose interesting dates. I lived in dublin, Ireland for thirteen years. I spent a fair bit of time getting to know the city by going by myself to plays, movies, restaurants, sporting venues, bars (especially those with live music), concert halls, and sporting venues. As a result, when I asked women out on dates, I always had a wide range of entertainment options I could suggest for dates. This definately made women more interested in spending time with me. I also cooked some Indian food for a french woman I was seeing for about one and a half years, on, I think, our third or fourth date. I made sure it was mild enough for her liking. She ended up really appreciating it.

Perhaps it’s locationally specific or I just got lucky, but there were a lot of women who were interested in coming to watch workouts or sparring sessions, asking questions about every aspect of training, competing, associated lifestyle, and asking me to show them techniques. When I was in school, women took no interest in me if they didn’t know. I have some semblance of game now so I don’t rely it anymore, but it is definitely still a huge positive in my dating life. Hey Courtney, I'm a 60+ man, who has spent enormous amounts of time on dating sites. Here are my instant turn offs. Especially if several of these items show up in a cluster: travel abroad, fine dining, wineries, theater, living in an expensive part of town, season tickets to sports team games, weekends in BnBs. All these are very expensive activities. Almost as bad is a woman who lists: needlepoint, quilting, baking dessert, antiquing, shopping, horses, motorcycles, domestic travel to expensive sites. What is most attractive is a woman who has a mixture of things like domestic travel, family events, camping, day trips, DIYs, normal pets, gardening, cards, dancing, watching both new and old movies, politics, museums, and countless other similar interests. The WORST bio is a woman that wants to go to expensive destinations, see Broadway shows, fine dining, box tickets at a sports event, with off track betting. What I am saying is that many women make unrealistic profiles and are not wanting a mix of interests, at various price points. Many women follow their profiles about if you voted this way or that way, or you support a Supreme Court decision, or have some other perceived character flaw don't respond. I think the world has all gone crazy. All I want is a normal woman.

Most men like to watch sports on the TV and o live at the venue, yet very few of those that watched actually actively participate be it as players, coaches, and/or officials. That makes them stand out, that makes them special among any other sports fans. Those that didn't participate and only content being spectators are no different than the lazy bums of Netflix and chill, eating and shopping.
The same goes with women. Even when she is doing hard labour for living, she still can actively pursue something more leisurely hobbies like painting, community service, knitting, musical instruments, or even tailoring. That makes her stands out among her peers and added more value as a person.

Hello, Courtney. I was initially going to ignore this video because I knew it was going to tell me what I didn't want to hear, and I was correct. The list of ten 'hobbies ' that women like in men actually reflects what women like men to do, rather than what many men like to do. Ironically, in the light of the name of your sponsor for the vid., I'd say that only dancing and photography out of the list actually require any skills at all to do, the rest being things that almost anyone who is mobile can participate in. I write because I suffer from being interested in 'male' things; I play in two bands, I research and make models of nineteenth century railways, and I play chess badly.. I can assure you that these things don't make women interested in me, particularly the second which I keep very quiet about because both sexes and particularly women will ridicule it, putting one mentally into being a little boy who has never grown up. I actually know two railway people, one a Cambridge University graduate, who only told their wives of their interest once they had got married. I concur that having politics in common would generally be a good thing, but I'm not happy about either sex dismissing people they meet on the grounds of their interests unless they've already had a bad experience in the area, or expecting you to have interests which are beyond tolerance even if the person may be of interest to one.

    7. Politics - I will never agree w/ Politics unless if people that are in it will change if not then that’s a problem I cannot fix because if I don’t agree with it then that means I don’t have to be involved because most of it not all it but now it is bullshit in chef salad I got that from a movie don’t ask me where I found that line from what movie if anyone know then great and if not that’s okay too but I honest opinion about Politics it could be different but the issue is playing fire with fire. So what’s the point if you’re re gas lighting more of fire from another side and your adding onto t and nothing frets done it’s like trying to win a war with guns against guns it’s basically coming down to others that would kill other people because our views on Politics that’s why for my reason I don’t have any view on it because it turns people against others that’s not right it human society it’s exactly that way it’s destructive and and violent I don’t care for those things I just want for their to peace, care for one another, equal rights for everyone out there, and have it be a better place than it being the way it is now.
    8. Animals- Love Animals Cats and Dogs both used to work w/ animals volunteered for 7/and a half years when I did.
    9. Photography - I certainly do Photography when I feel like when I see a new place for the first time or if I see a beautiful moon, or sunset I will try to capture it by my camera and then it’s taken then I edit it and finish it, post it if I want to on my Instagram.
    10. Sports - Not anymore I used to but I have damaged my feet enough times to know to not do them because their is sometimes loosing balance and re-straining my feet again or my ankles more so yeah have to be careful.
    11. Like Languages and accents - I know a little bit of Spanish but I’d like to learn more.
    12. Filmmaking - It’s a great one and I know can be a job.
    13. Artwork - I think it should be on the list or as a job.

I think for me women are very attractive when having a hobby and sticking with it for long periods of time (it could be literally any hobby too). Building a skill over years of practice is super super hot. It shows intelligence on a much deeper level and also that the person values building something. There are so many women that I've dated (or even just people in general) that have hobbies but change them month to month. They never really master anything.

Girls, GENERALLY speaking, don’t work on themselves like that.
They are whimsical in nature… getting distracted or convinced of anything by passersby’s talking drama.

Totally agree. I also see no problem with having "just" one or two hobbies (besides work), which of course means that you have more time for that one (or two) hobby/ies.
Of course, if people just enjoy doing multiple things (with less time on each) then thats fine too. But (as stated in the video), you should not do it, just because it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex.

@@nosferatualucard2613 Yeah, I agree! Multiple hobbies are ok. I just think it's more hot when they have less hobbies but more of a mastery of those hobbies. A constant switching of hobbies just shows lack of dedication to something or shows that they give up on something before it starts being worthwhile. I mean this isn't always the case but from my previous dating experience it's like I didn't see many good hobbies that went from the "difficult" stage to the more fun stage. Some hobbies just aren't fun when you first start out because you're not good at them...

I’m 44 yrs old guy. My hobbies have been refined over the years. 5 yrs ago my wife was cheating on me and I went back to some hobbies I left. I started lifting again, and got back onto Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’m also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor as well and I love to teach BJJ. I’m too old and have no desire to complete. My professional background is human behavior modification. So teaching BJJ is one of my favorite things to do while incorporating my 23 year of my professional experience into it. Prior to meeting my ex I was in BJJ for about 4 yrs and now I have been back for about 5 yrs and have lost about 80lbs of fat and gained about 30 lbs of muscle over that 5 yrs. I am far more fit than I have ever been. I do like tech stuff, I also build and refurbish gaming PCs. Mainly to teach my teenage kids about the importance of understanding current technology. I also would also shoot firearms a lot. At one point I was very good at tactical type shooting with many different platforms and types of firearms. Unfortunately ammo shortages and costs ruined that hobby about 6 years ago. The cost isn’t such an issue anymore but it’s the time it takes to actually go shoot. Getting everything ready, getting the proper equipment, and figuring out what skills need to be worked on takes time. Actually getting to the range and after the range all firearms need to be cleaned, properly maintained and stored. It’s a 3-5 hour timeframe from start to finish and that’s 1/2 day event. After that I’m typically exhausted as well. So my girlfriend isn’t interested in any of my hobbies. I think she likes the idea of what I find interesting but she has no interest in joining me. Which is completely fine with me.

You always make interesting videos and I congratulate you on your honesty, about how women perceive men physically. As this is something that a lot of men don't really understand properly. I'm 55 and divorced and took a good look at myself in the mirror after I got back in the dating game. As, I had honestly let myself go from my mid 30's after being active and playing rugby since I was young. So, i went on a mission to better myself, lost weight and started to dress better and look after myself on all levels. And everything changed for me in all aspects of my life. One thing that does happen when you age. Is, your perception of women and what you are looking for in them changes. As the girl with the killer body isn't at the top of the list anymore. As, it becomes more of an emotional & intellectual connection than ones physical appearance. Its not settling for less. Its actually the total opposite, as attractiveness is now being found on different levels. thanks for posting the video.
