Good provider = money. When a woman says "good provider" on a date to me I know she's a gold digger or at least only values money and won't be around for any tough times or honestly, just normal times
The quickest way to master anything is to learn who and what you are first. From there learning about learning can help one bridge many gaps. Even between the masculine and feminine. It won’t make me change my hobbies but it will prioritize which of my hobbies I will present to a woman… that is if she even cares enough to stop talking about herself and ask about me.
For any dude out there watching this, dont gauge your hobbies based off of external validation. Find hobbies that are personally fulfilling to you. Theres nothing wrong with trying to increase your attractiveness but at the end of the day you should be investing in yourself and what makes you happy. There's someone out there that will like you for who you are, and building yourself to represent what others tell you will make you "more attractive" is a hollow path not worth walking. Chin up brothas
It's a good point and well said. But...picking up a hobby, outside your normal maybe, perhaps one a women could enjoy with you is still a worthwhile endeavor. Romance is a 'WE' thing. Example: I'd never let her put a wrench on my bike. But lots of women, at least in Nevada, like to shoot. And a list as long as my leg more also. None of my hobbies bring me "validation" outside or inside. They are just fun ways to pass spare time, be creative. A hobby WITH HER, still feels like a fun way to pass time. For any Dude reading this, be open to it. One "WE thing" could lead to another. You need to be able to do things together, beyond horizontal bop. It's kinda what the whole LTR thing is about.
@@utube72 How about a video on hobbies that appeal to both men and women? Most of us here want to succeed with women, not avoid them or trash them. Don't need coaching for that.
Hobbies and interests do make a man more attractive and diverse. If you do get into a relationship don't let the woman take your hobbies from you. So many men have had their hopes, dreams, and opportunities taken away by a relationship. Make sure the relationship compliments your life and is not your life. Also shopping and spending money isn't a hobby ladies.

Cooking is a good hobby. When I was dating, I was flat broke and could not afford restaurants for dates. When I told the women I was dating, that I could cook for them at my apartment, they all dropped me like a hot stone when I explained my finances. I had one girl who took me up on my offer. We had a very nice chicken dinner with wine, soft music and good conversation. We celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary next year. BTW...my finances have greatly improved since then. I also play piano. I don't know a women out there who does not like a man who plays piano.
I love it. I was/kind of still am in that situation. I never explained my finances but when they saw my vintage 1 bedroom apartment they all took off. I did some solo VERY high end travel when I hit an unexpected windfall and many of them tried to come back lol
That's actually a great filtering technique, because what all those women who dropped you were telling you is thst they are first and foremost looking for a man to foot the bills for a lifestyle they can't afford. And you found that out before wasting any more time and money on them for a first date. Congratulations on your long marriage. It's a shame that the dating market is an even more caustic, degenerate wasteland than it was 25 years ago thanks to the negative impacts of social media, loss of family values and foolish political and legal policies in most western countries.
Here's my two cents: I do believe that people are drawn to the feeling they get when they're in the presence of a passionate personality. I think it has less to do with the actual hobby itself, and more to do with how passionate or even obsessive the other person is about a certain topic. So don't go out there and get a random hobby just to attract people. Because unless you're REALLY passionate it won't count. No? Am I romanticizing it?? I might be...
I completely agree with you but I can't think of it so straight forward or simple... because I've been in situations where one of my particular hobbies would be the reason the woman was disinterested, mostly because they weren't interested in it themselves, so hobbies sometimes kinda need to align between partners
Passion. Having passion outside of a relationship is AWESOME for both men and women. It shows that when they are focused, dedicated, and absolutely involved in something that they love to do/talk about, it *could* show up in the relationship towards the person they are dating. Plus, it's less pressure on the other person to provide "entertainment". The person is growing, learning, educating themselves, etc. It's just so much of a hot thing. Though of course, there is that balance. If ALL you do is talk about that one thing, then it can get pretty mundane quick. However if it branches out to skills the other person can see (mechanical, electrical, artistry, etc.), then there is that link that can connect to a wider variation of experiences.
Truth. The article is bs. They DGAF about actual hobbies. These are all hobbies that they gain something from. Traveling is a "hobby"? 😂 Pets? My dog is not a hobby.
@@Hiergibtesnixzusehen To them it is. Go ask 10 women what their hobbies are. I guarantee you "shopping" will be the number one answer for 5 of them, in the top 10 for at least 9 of them.
@@notanumberafreeman6903 most women's hobbies include spending money, like travel. Second is things that derive attention, like dancing. Nothing useful or productive.
Last year I went to a date and asked her about her interests. She said she really liked to walk outside. I tried in vain to ask about any other hobbies. I didn't go on a second date because I couldn't see a future with her. As someone who has alot of interests. Excersise, music, painting, engines etc
How the hell did musical talent not make it onto the list!?!? I played basketball for 10 years, never drew me interest from a girl. I’ve been into singing for only 10 months, and it’s been a different story
@@glenchapman3899 right. True for many musicians. Lemme be clear tho… getting women was not the motivating factor for me haha doin it to better myself. Courtney always preaches just that💯
I was waiting for "plays an instrument" to be one. I guess that one takes too much time. I guess a woman would get jealous i'd have my hands on the guitar more than her.
My top 3 as a guy (i like doing them): 1 Photography (not for the socialis, but for the creative aspect of it). 2 Cardio: Running/walking in the nature, expecially in the countryside. 3 Learning about... everything? I use many tools for that, TH-cam, books, or internet in general.
As long as u have a hobby, that alone is considered attractive. It does not have to be smth that a woman MUST LIKE in order for her to view it as attractive.
You're absolutely right about people with no hobbies being unbelievably boring. For some reason finding women with a hobby that doesn't involve screens seems incredibly difficult.
As a 49yo man I believe the list of what a women requires or wants continues to grow over the years while the opposite is true for men. As long as your nurturing, polite, look to be on my level looks wise ,"average" and I trust you is my requirements 😂 As for hobbies I had lots as a younger guy but as I get older I lose interest in many of my past hobbies. I do enjoy investing and exercise but travel is a no. However if I had a girl I would have no problem with taking her anywhere I just don't care to travel alone as a "hobby".
As a man I care whether or not a woman has hobbies, interests and passions. It doesn't matter a whole lot to me what they are as long as she has some. For me, music is the love of my life. I love a woman who also shares a love and knowledge for music.
@@tigerbear3038 he probably plays it too, and if not, listening to it is a hobby if you know what you’re listening for. theres a lot to listen to if you know music theory, which im guessing you don’t based off your comment
@@tigerbear3038 I wouldn't say that I dislike music, but I honestly have no love for it. If I have headphones in there's a 100% chance that I'm listening to an audio book or podcast.
I agree I find it really strange that music doesn't show up on that list at all. I grew up in a family that played music and sang together. And even at family reunions distant family did the same. Mostly folk song and none of us were ever "professional musicians." I would have guessed that music would be on that list before "watching sports" at least.
I share several of that list of hobbies you mentioned Courtney (travelling, exercising, dancing, cooking, politics, pets, photography and sports), but I also have quite a few geeky hobbies that have been heavily criticized by people over the years, like video games, comics and anime. I never gave a damn about others opinions regarding that. At some point I launched a website to publish news and opinion pieces about those geeky hobbies also including music, cinema, literature, etc. Later a girlfriend of mine told me I was wasting my time... She's no longer my partner, obviously, and that website not only made some money, it served as a portfolio for my last two jobs, both related to the entertainment industry (organizing comic book conventions and writing for an anime streaming service). I also have a wife that shares most of my geeky hobbies. Never let anyone go after you because of your hobbies.
Thats awesome! You accepted yourself and embraced who you are, turning it into a major strength and finding a partner who celebrates you! Major respect
I have to tell you, I have met some amazing and incredibly attractive women over the years that from outward appearance you'd never know they were interested in Marvel, comics, anime and ComiCon. Few and far between but they are out there. Being married myself, it's easier to carry on a conversation with them as they know you aren't trying to date them; I've met them all through my job. I've hooked some of those ladies up with some guys I know that enjoy those same things and they've ended up married with kids and doing well. I think if the geeky ladies let more of that side show instead of suppressing it publicly, more of the geeky guys they are looking for would take a chance to ask them out.
@@mysticstarhf9265 yeah, I know there's quite a lot of ladies like that. Specially nowadays, that geeks are the mainstream. But when I was a teen? Damn. I was ridiculed on a daily basis for my hobbies. But I didn't care AT ALL. I was a tough kid hahaha
@@flashnimi yeah, I was always very assertive in that regard. I valued my individuality way too much to buckle under people's idea of what's acceptable as cool. Even though I did have many normie interests as well, and still have.
Writing is a big hobby of mine. It's a way for me to be creative and tell the kind of stories I'd want to read but can't find other places. My other big hobby is whisky collecting. It's something I enjoy in moderation, but the whole process of distilling and how a whisky is shaped by the area it comes from is fascinating to me.
I’ve had this issue where people tell me I’m doing too much. I’m super outdoorsy and love keeping my body in motion. Some of my hobbies include Jiu Jitsu, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, hunting and fishing. I also have a fulfilling career and side hustles that bring me happiness. When I’m not working, I’m either at the gym or spending time doing my hobbies. I don’t really do bars or nightlife so finding women that understand my lifestyle is hard. I live in a city so my lifestyle seems too active but when I’m out in my scene, I’m too much of a yuppy lol. It’s a weird spot that I’m in. I have learned to enjoy being by myself. I believe you’re only young once and your body is capable of so much. I don’t want to look back and say I wish I would’ve done this when I was young and strong. We live in a day and age where information and opportunity is all around us; Take advantage of that to learn and absorb as much as you can. I’ll save the book reading (I listen to audiobooks) and “Netflix and chill” for when I’m no longer able to move like I used to when I was 20. I don’t necessarily want a girl to enjoy the things I enjoy but understand that this is what keeps me sane and happy. Heck, maybe she can come tag along and enjoy things I enjoy doing and vice versa. Also, it probably doesn’t help that I’m 5’ 6” lol. But I check everything else I believe. And I would also say I’m a bit shallow when it comes to looks.
I’m surprised that something involving music wasn’t on the list. Either singing or playing an instrument gives a huge boost to a man. My father was a professionally trained opera singer and there were women throwing it at him right in front of my mother. When I was in high school, I had girls call my house and ask if I was home just to hear my dad’s voice. His accent didn’t hurt any too. They knew I was at football practice but they still called anyway.
I started ballroom and swing dancing over the past year and a half. I have always liked dancing, but was always a bit shy about it when I was younger. Part of that is because people my age at the time really only knew how to club dance and that wasn't my jam. Now I am either training with my coaches or social dancing 3 to 4 times a week. I am meeting tons of people and I really hope to meet a nice girl who shares this passion with me.
Speaking from my own experience, ballroom dancing is a lot of fun indeed. If you continue to get better at it, it will not take long until you are pretty much in the top 10% best dancers at a regular dancing party (where the theme is ballroom dancing, or swing) or even better. And you will meet plenty of women who would like to dance with you regularly. So people (women) will naturally "accumulate", just as a side effect of you being a good dancer and regularly going to dancing parties. At least that what happened with me, and i am definetely not the extroverted or "player" type really. Also, at most events i go to, there are usually more women than men (not everytime of course. but most of the time). Secondly, i feel like most women i dance with really find great joy in that hobby (maybe even more than I do), so it buffles me a bit, that you have not found a women yet, that "shares that passion with you", but as I said, it will definitely not take long for you to find something like that.
@@nosferatualucard2613 For context, I am 30 and I am looking for a girl in her early to mid twenties who wants to be a mom primarily. Also, my preferred ballroom coach has taken some time off and I have moved more into the West Coast Swing world. I have been told it is a much younger community. It isn't that I haven't found ladies who share this passion. It is more that the community is a bit older than I initially estimated. The college girls that frequent the socials that I have gone to are often very reserved and are hard to get to open up in conversation. All in all, regardless of the style, I am having a ton of fun meeting people in general and practicing my social dance and conversation skills. I went to my first convention style event for WCS two weekends ago and I had a ton of fun. I look forward to more events like that and I am certain that I will cross paths with girls I am looking for sometime soon.
I wish women realized how attractive it is for women to have interesting hobbies. Based on dating profiles I've come across, travel, drinking, and brunch seem to be the only things women are interested in.
As a guy I find a girl who is busy working and bettering herself to be the most attractive. Bonuses are if she can cook and clean. But 100% a girl that isn’t caught up in the modern day to day bull crap and media and staying home and being on the internet is HUGE deal for me
I really enjoy your channel! I don't use it for dating advice. Most of your advice are great ideas for self improvement and I apply that. I'm very empathetic, so I enjoy learning from others and what their perceptions are. Your advice really helps me understand what I need to work on for myself.
number 1 on the mens list in actuality is this : 1. LISTENING, if that's your hobby, you're off to a good start. but you have to be able to at least carry a conversation with some short answers that keep it moving. I think they said traveling was number 1 but its actually listening because believe me, if you go traveling with a women and aren't listening to her during your trip, your trip is going to come up shorter than planned
Oh trust me, even just cooking for a girl as a first date is a lot of fun. I've been with some girls that couldn't cook nearly as good as me and I've dated some girls that liked to cook beside me and it sure is a skill in which I'm thankful to my mother and grandmother for getting me started at the age of 7
how do you even pitch the idea of coming to your house and cooking for her as a first date idea? wouldn't most women be completely uncomfortable with that, wanna meet in a public place first etc
I think your channel will reach 500k subscribers by the end of this year because you have such great content. Other TH-camrs are complaining they are losing viewers because the TH-cam algorithm changed this year and hard to get viewers now. I don't think that algorithm is true because your channel is going fast and proves it wrong. Good job, Courtney.
Courtney I was once a full time musician and i did attract many women. My frustration with it was though it was my job, they saw me as a muse or novelty. It was great being able to pull some babes & really helped me figure out looks are looks and nothing more.
I Paint miniatures as one of my hobbies, and i get always a positive response from a girl. I believe it is because its a creative hobby, and challenging because they are really small.
2nd date with my wife in college- I cooked dinner for us and it was TERRIBLE. Got much better over the years but I’m sure it scored me points back then 😂😂😂
I feel like dating apps limiting the amount of hobbies you can select is really a hinderance. I do a lot and limiting to 5 sometimes means I have to choose between what hobbies will make me seem attractive and what hobbies will attract the kind of people I’m looking for. I’m an athletic guy but I’m looking for someone more on the nerdy side and striking that balance without feeling superficial seems impossible.
I tell my Nephew (since he was about 10yrs old now, 18).... Nicholas, learn to dance, learn to cook, learn to Dress sharp, be a Gentleman, and above all never stop learning or being curious. He is presently in a top Engineering school, dabbles in cooking, works-out and I'm immensely Proud of Him!!

Sailing is mine. Absolutely love it. Technical, takes physical and mental effort, foresight, rigging and can be dangerous. But also, sailboats have cabins where you can invite someone in to have a little fun.
I’m sooo happy I found your channel ❤ I really need this guidance on how to be more attractive and dress better and all round bettering myself. You’re very good at this.
I have a full range of hobbies, but my main ones are art, design, martial arts as well as video games. I've honestly never had any woman have an issue with the fact that I like to play video games, and I think it's because I like to do other things and not just that. Any woman who does take issue is likely basing it off a previous relationship where they had no balance in their life. but otherwise most women don't mind it at all.
I have two strange hobbies: collecting Vinyl records and being a movie buff. Those probably rank pretty low, but it’s what i enjoy. Great video Courtney!!!
I'd bet any amount of money that those "strange" hobbies are both vastly larger than "traveling" in terms of the number of people who take part in them.
Definitely strength sports. Lots of girls love that I train strongman both conventional and old school, and even just the hobby of being able to fix things and build things, which includes cars and houses because they are useful. I even had an ex that was turned on by my tailoring skills when I fixed an old nightgown of hers and made it fit her better. The more capable you are, and the more useful you are the more attractive you are, and, you can even say: the more confident you become
My hobby is martial arts. I always thought of it being an excellent hobby because of the self improvement and self empowerment aspects of it. It eventually becomes a way of life.
I'm a huge car guy, well automotive I should say, anything having to do with cars, trucks motorcycles and racing in general, and that definitely helps within the community itself, but starting to venture out and incorporating that with other hobbies like traveling, making videos documenting such and I make money from doing so as well so thank you for putting it out there that having something that you enjoy that also makes you money is just as good as the ones listed

Here are mine: 1. Pilates twice a week 2. Miata Car Club- twice monthly 3. Record collector - I make a trip twice a month or whenever I’m near a shop. I love music, played saxophone for 20 years. 4. Film buff 5. Theatre and Musicals/Concerts 6. Motorcycle rides- on a hiatus for now, but I lived on a motorcycle daily for 20+ years 7. Cooking- I cook at least once a day. 8. Mountain Biking- once a week or more often- trails next to my house 9. Was big into dancing in clubs, but now that I’m older, I don’t enjoy the younger crowds. BTW younger people in general have no moves. I stopped a few years ago, but I’d happily go back with girlfriends.
@THE ADAM FRIEDLAND SHOW good for you. I’m 50, divorced with kids on my weekends, so that could have something to do with it. Had no problems with girls when I was younger. I get looks, but the quality of women I interact with near my age is down and I’m not interested in younger women really. I’ve been finding interested girls in their 20s, but it’s not my interest to waste time with them when I have kids that are only 8 years younger. No women near my age that I find attractive seem to be around at all or have huge flaws when I do find them. A lot of them have some kind of damage or are making as much as me and are looking for a very rich guy. Also, I’m in great shape. I’m probably just ugly like you said or not a big enough asshole. I’m not really trying either.
I've always kept my hobbies close to me because they are a part of who I am and how I view myself. I'm always learning new skills to better myself and always looking for new interests because I might grow old of my current hobbies and want to explore new ones in the future. Not shocked that #1 and #2 are exercise and traveling because women are attracted to physically fit men who are well rounded with the world.
Back in 2012, I took up Argentine Tango and, in my humble opinion, became a pretty good dancer. At the time, I was going through a divorce and that helped me get through the stress and sadness. Typically, women out number men three or four to one. I like that ratio! Women dig a guy that can dance or at least put forth the effort to give it a try.
I am current in the process of getting my pilots license and when I mention that to women that I meet they are fairly intrigued. Problem is that flying is an expensive hobby so it’s not accessible to everyone. My opinion is men should have multiple hobbies, especially those you listed in the video. Hobbies for both genders can signify the kind of person they are. A man who travels a lot, plays rugby and has a dog can signify to a woman that this man is a risk taker who’s athletic but is also family oriented. As a man, what I do find to be attractive in women is a woman who can cook, likes to read and wants to take care of herself in the form of exercise. Instagram is a good background check for men to use because it can show what most women’s hobbies are. What is most certainly unattractive for a man to see is a girl who’s interest is to be in the clubs all the time and posting thirst traps on her social media.
I’m working on my helicopter PPL, and it’s so expensive, but it does have a certain appeal. My problem is I don’t do anything that girls tend to do too, so I’ve got a hard time meeting girls.
Courtney I just want to say, you’re videos have helped me so much to grow as a person and understand women better. Thank you so much for making videos like these ❤❤
My life has been endless hobbies, anything hands on and Im all over it, molding casting/mixed media highly detailed sculpture, fine woodworking, artistic metal work, interior design and construction, stone masonry, a full time tattoo artist. Its always been very meditative and therapeutic I switch off and create, researching, visualizing, planning, problem solving, improvising, nit picking down to the finest details that only I would notice, I live for it. If my hands or eyes were taken away Id likely throw myself off a high bridge in short order....my wife would understand 😅. Hobbies cleanse the mind and free the soul.
I don't see exercise as a hobby. It's something you do for health, strength, and maybe aesthetics. My hobbies include things like knife collecting, archery, axe throwing, shooting (don't do this as often as I would like), and sewing. Knife collecting is hit and miss as far as if it is attractive to women, some like it and it scares some away. The sewing gets mixed reviews as well. The rest are definitely more favorable to most women.
I work out 2-3 hours a day, yeah its overkill but I want abs damn it! That being said its pretty much my hobby and fun time because its all I have time for
@@innocentrage1 abs are obtained by getting fat off the abdominal region. Lol I assume you are aware of that and doing a good amount of cardio if you are doing 2-3 hours a day though. I don't care about abs, my genetics don't really work to my advantage there. I can easily be built, but even when I was a "healthy" weight when I was younger I never really had defined abs. 🤷♂️ I have a ton of core strength, but I would have to be underweight to accomplish abs. My torso and abdomen are where I store almost all of my fat.
Theatre is probably listed because it indicates the man has more disposable income. Theatre tickets are not cheap, so making it a hobby indirectly says you have money.
The main problem why dating is messed up is because of social media. Cause before social media, both men and women had a realistic approach towards each other. Where as today, there are some extremely good looking guys on tiktok or Instagram which is not the main problem, the main problem is that those “good looking” guys are only like 2-3% out of 100% and 90-95% women are aiming for top 2-3% men (even the unattractive ones) which is an absolute nightmare for 5/10 or below looks guys. And over 80% of us are ignored
Traveling is not a hobby. Not really. Wandering around the world is not a skill. Travel is what you do for vacation or work. It's not a regular thing. And what women refer to as "traveling" is prohibitively expensive to do often. They want to travel to Acapulco or Italy, not Tennessee. The rest of list is at least legit. Exercise, dance, theatre, and cooking are all actual skills.
Aside from attraction, if you (yes you Americans) can speak multiple languages you also increase your dating pool options. Even basic understanding of another language is a good ice breaker. *this is especially true if you are in a larger city or in a border state.
Probably only native english speaker would find billingual impressive. The other day I talked to a English lady who has 2 childrens and she said she regretted she didn't ask her husband who is an Argentian to teach them Spanish. I mean there're no diffcult languages in this world if you start speaking and listening to it at a very young age and if her children could literally speak both that'be great, but i don't think it's that impressive at all compared to people from Europe mainland, Asia or anywhere in the planet. She added: if my kids could speak Spanish then that's billingual, which is so great, isn't it!? lol
@@chunsze635 Exactly, the only people who'd be properly impressed by someone being bilingual are monolingual people. Although with the spread of English as a "dominant" language, it hardly counts towards bilingualism these days. On the other hand, a fair amount of people I know are at least trilingual - they speak their native language, they speak English, and they speak Norwegian. Some might even count as "quadlingual" - their native language, the official language of their country, English, and Norwegian. Now, that's impressive ;) (I'm not one of them, unfortunately.)
Wow! As a 61 year old divorced man living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as a retired Expat, I can vouch for this list. Women from 20 to 70 love all the aforementioned hobbies and interests that they find attractive, but alas, complain about so few expat men compared to the large expat female community. Those few of us that are single and active can expect lots of female attention.
I like going to cultural events like theatres, films and concerts. I used to be a reasonably good cook (haven't cooked much lately, lol). I'm knowledgeable about politics. I had a phase where I wrote about 100 poems. I've recited some of those on stage. I like watching sport, and visiting sporting events. I have travelled quite a bit in the past. This has helped me in my dating life, because my broad range of interests has resulted in me being able to propose interesting dates. I lived in dublin, Ireland for thirteen years. I spent a fair bit of time getting to know the city by going by myself to plays, movies, restaurants, sporting venues, bars (especially those with live music), concert halls, and sporting venues. As a result, when I asked women out on dates, I always had a wide range of entertainment options I could suggest for dates. This definately made women more interested in spending time with me. I also cooked some Indian food for a french woman I was seeing for about one and a half years, on, I think, our third or fourth date. I made sure it was mild enough for her liking. She ended up really appreciating it.
Haven’t even started the video but mixed martial arts or really any martial art is probably the best. I had no game at all when I was younger but always got away with it because girls loved my favorite hobby. Plus it’s an extremely effective form of exercise so I always had low body fat % which is a big help when it comes to attractiveness, especially since my genetics are average at best
@@TheNaturalHealthBlogger six pack and low body fat comes with the territory, historically, but I’ve had a completely different experience than that which you’re suggesting, as have my training partners, albeit anecdotally. Perhaps it’s locationally specific or I just got lucky, but there were a lot of women who were interested in coming to watch workouts or sparring sessions, asking questions about every aspect of training, competing, associated lifestyle, and asking me to show them techniques. When I was in school, women took no interest in me if they didn’t know. I have some semblance of game now so I don’t rely it anymore, but it is definitely still a huge positive in my dating life. If for no other reason than associated confidence boost and well maintained fitness level.
Politics surprised me (so did theatre). Maybe because of what happened in recent years I believe. The most recent date I had (met via tinder) was definitely into politics, which was a good thing for me, since we agreed on a lot of issues, although I'm a little more open minded than her. She was also really surprised at how well I can cook (first date was at my place). Also it's nice to have a scientific explanation on why us guys generally look for women who are physically active and health conscious. As someone who workout, I can't find myself dating someone who is overweight and lazy. Ijs 🤷🏿♂️
Women play D&D too. Sadly, nerdy type hobbies are often looked down upon. I really have no idea why, as they are just as valid. Me being a nerd will testify.
@@MikeyP109 Same with video games. There are so many gamer girls on TH-cam and Twitch so I don't know why it's looked down upon even if people are responsible with it, myself included. I've even seen women work at game companies and they spend lots of time producing the games in the first place
I have never lacked hobbies. I've turned some of my hobbies into business opportunities. I enjoy reading, photography, computer programming, exercising, hiking, skating, sports, building things, playing music, singing, cooking, etc. When I ask someone if they have any hobbies and they don't; that seems very foreign to me. I don't know what or where I would be without them. Bored outta my mind that's for sure lol!
1. TRAVELING 2. SECOND LANGUAGE (or more) 3. MUSICAL INTERESTS (the broader, the better) 4. BEING ACTIVE (but not overly focused on sports) 5. BEING HANDY (big turn on when a woman shows interest and can actually work WITH me on projects)
Hey Courtney, I'm a 60+ man, who has spent enormous amounts of time on dating sites. Here are my instant turn offs. Especially if several of these items show up in a cluster: travel abroad, fine dining, wineries, theater, living in an expensive part of town, season tickets to sports team games, weekends in BnBs. All these are very expensive activities. Almost as bad is a woman who lists: needlepoint, quilting, baking dessert, antiquing, shopping, horses, motorcycles, domestic travel to expensive sites. What is most attractive is a woman who has a mixture of things like domestic travel, family events, camping, day trips, DIYs, normal pets, gardening, cards, dancing, watching both new and old movies, politics, museums, and countless other similar interests. The WORST bio is a woman that wants to go to expensive destinations, see Broadway shows, fine dining, box tickets at a sports event, with off track betting. What I am saying is that many women make unrealistic profiles and are not wanting a mix of interests, at various price points. Many women follow their profiles about if you voted this way or that way, or you support a Supreme Court decision, or have some other perceived character flaw don't respond. I think the world has all gone crazy. All I want is a normal woman.
100000000000000000000000% dead on brother, i go onto dating sites now just to laugh at these ?????????????? that are out to lunch, i had one contact me years ago and ask me what i thought about the site and when i said most women are out to lunch she never called back, bleeeeeeeeeeep
I am also a 60* guy and you are on the money, ( with your money ) you can't put an old head on young shoulders, older you get the wiser you should become, if you don't, you can have nothing and be penny less in your 60s, I know a few...
No hobby will make you more attractive than fitness. It develops not just the physical but characterological attributes women are looking for. Reading is another good one so when you meet a girl you actually have something to say!
physical exercise, of course....reading is fine, too...BUT: i consider most of the stuff people read these days to be as destructive as TV or social media, which lead me to drop "reading books" as an indication of intellect or education.
Fitness shouldn’t be considered a hobby though. Different types of fitness for subsets like football or weightlifting or hiking, yeah, sure, but the act of just getting up and moving - intentionally - isn’t a hobby. It’s a basic need. Every human being on earth benefits from getting at least a combined hour of exertion in each day. Our ancestors did it for millions of years and thousands of generations. It’s a base.
This is fine... EXCEPT in my 40+ years of dealing with females in EVERY single relationship I had the hobbie might have been attractive, but they ALL tried to get me to stop my hobbies because they said it took time away from them...🙄
Top tip. Be an interesting human being with hobbies that you are passionate about - competence is interesting - passion is interesting. Find a partner who is passionate about similar things, or at least understands what it's like to be a passionate person. The end. If you're simping enough to get a hobby because "Woman Like It", then you've already lost, and you'll end up with somebody who doesn't appreciate the real you. Do yourself and especially them a favor and don't do that.
As a musician, I find women are attracted to this, even if it's not your career or side hustle. Most women are into music so if you can serenade a girl with guitar, piano or whatever you might play, I think that will give you bonus points. In general, any hobby that demands time, effort and discipline will make any person more attractive. I've had experiences where women have told me nothing interests them and it's the biggest turn off, no matter how physically attractive she is. Just my thoughts on the this topic, great video!
Similarly i do think women that have hobbies are more attractive. When I say hobbies, I am referring to active hobbies like doing sports (playing sports or become coaches), fitness, martial arts, arts (dancing, stage play, painting, etc), community service, volunteering in the community, gardening, etc. Not passive hobbies like watching sports as spectators in the venue or TV, binge watching on the couch, food hunting, shopping, afternoon tea with friends, etc. IMO active hobbies increase one's value; passive hobbies decrease one's worth.
@@wyleecoyotee4252 totally agree. In my observations, most passive men will not date nor prefer women with active hobbies. Perhaps because the latter are too active and fulfilled for their liking.
@@ronaldgmaster5782 netflix and chilling is OK when need to wind down from active hours on the day. Making it a habit regularly everyday and on weekends are not. Most men like to watch sports on the TV and o live at the venue, yet very few of those that watched actually actively participate be it as players, coaches, and/or officials. That makes them stand out, that makes them special among any other sports fans. Those that didn't participate and only content being spectators are no different than the lazy bums of Netflix and chill, eating and shopping. The same goes with women. Even when she is doing hard labour for living, she still can actively pursue something more leisurely hobbies like painting, community service, knitting, musical instruments, or even tailoring. That makes her stands out among her peers and added more value as a person. In short, I choose women with active hobbies because they are not lazy bums. When she can't even do something to stand out from the rest than why we need to settle on her?
Great video. I’m 55 and I think I understand women more since I have been subscribed to this channel than I ever have been ‼️. Thank you for the information ‼️🙏💯
The last woman I dated didn't like when I told her that I often go camping alone because either I'll get married some day or I won't. If I do, I'll probably have to give it up. If I don't, then this is it. She said marriage shouldn't be a matter of having to give up things. I wanted to say "It's just giving up."
I do martial arts (which keeps me fit) and im also a car enthusiast and mechanic (my job as well as hobby). I had the second passion before, but I barely attracted girls. When i started doing the first, I met more women in one year than the prior 10, lol.
Hello, Courtney. I was initially going to ignore this video because I knew it was going to tell me what I didn't want to hear, and I was correct. The list of ten 'hobbies ' that women like in men actually reflects what women like men to do, rather than what many men like to do. Ironically, in the light of the name of your sponsor for the vid., I'd say that only dancing and photography out of the list actually require any skills at all to do, the rest being things that almost anyone who is mobile can participate in. I write because I suffer from being interested in 'male' things; I play in two bands, I research and make models of nineteenth century railways, and I play chess badly.. I can assure you that these things don't make women interested in me, particularly the second which I keep very quiet about because both sexes and particularly women will ridicule it, putting one mentally into being a little boy who has never grown up. I actually know two railway people, one a Cambridge University graduate, who only told their wives of their interest once they had got married. I concur that having politics in common would generally be a good thing, but I'm not happy about either sex dismissing people they meet on the grounds of their interests unless they've already had a bad experience in the area, or expecting you to have interests which are beyond tolerance even if the person may be of interest to one.
Cooking is one of my favourite bonding experiences with a partner. You can't beat having a glass of wine together while making a nice dinner discussing your day! ❤
I would think. 1. Travel - For Me I would rather give my money to less fortunate individuals than travel more important to me. 2. Exercise - I do exercises but I need to not keep getting sore but to eventually get a chiseled body all around and six pack abs. 3. Theatre - I don’t get as much still but I have other things going on like my Independence & trying to do music, and film, and modeling eventually. 4. Theatre Arts Of Dancing - I had learned Hairspray dance moves almost for each scene but I did learn to do normal dancing even back then my friends would ask me how did I learn to create my own style of dancing I just did still do to this day from age 12-25. 5. Cooking - I like to cook food on an oven more than making food in a microwave. 6. Outdoor Activities - I love to find new places and time photographs of the place especially when it’s in nature more or hiking trails or oceans love oceans. or if I like a place a lot then I’ll use it as a filmmaking spot or to be put in a film. 7. Politics - I will never agree w/ Politics unless if people that are in it will change if not then that’s a problem I cannot fix because if I don’t agree with it then that means I don’t have to be involved because most of it not all it but now it is bullshit in chef salad I got that from a movie don’t ask me where I found that line from what movie if anyone know then great and if not that’s okay too but I honest opinion about Politics it could be different but the issue is playing fire with fire. So what’s the point if you’re re gas lighting more of fire from another side and your adding onto t and nothing frets done it’s like trying to win a war with guns against guns it’s basically coming down to others that would kill other people because our views on Politics that’s why for my reason I don’t have any view on it because it turns people against others that’s not right it human society it’s exactly that way it’s destructive and and violent I don’t care for those things I just want for their to peace, care for one another, equal rights for everyone out there, and have it be a better place than it being the way it is now. 8. Animals- Love Animals Cats and Dogs both used to work w/ animals volunteered for 7/and a half years when I did. 9. Photography - I certainly do Photography when I feel like when I see a new place for the first time or if I see a beautiful moon, or sunset I will try to capture it by my camera and then it’s taken then I edit it and finish it, post it if I want to on my Instagram. 10. Sports - Not anymore I used to but I have damaged my feet enough times to know to not do them because their is sometimes loosing balance and re-straining my feet again or my ankles more so yeah have to be careful. 11. Like Languages and accents - I know a little bit of Spanish but I’d like to learn more. 12. Filmmaking - It’s a great one and I know can be a job. 13. Artwork - I think it should be on the list or as a job. 14. Music - Should that be on the list I do it all the time like all the time.
Just a reminder to everybody that this is not a magic trick. You gotta find a hobby that you truly love. I love cooking, music & mma. Those are my main 3 hobbies. Rarely do they ever get me women. I think having passions/hobbies is good for keeping women around, but don’t think that if you suddenly pick up a hobby women will be all over you. It seems obvious but a lot of guys are looking for an instant solution. It’s never like that.
I agree and can stress the importance of getting with someone that shares the same principals and values. I dated a girl that thought it was ok to go out and dance and grind on other guys and claimed it was “just dancing”. I was called “insecure and controlling” of course. Also when I asked how would she feel if I did that with girls. She stayed silent but was still mad at me for calling her out. My now Fiancée shares almost all the same values as me and these situations and arguments never happen. You have to be confident enough to let the toxic ones go but also confident to give others a chance and not assume 100% of women are the same.
Courtney, Definition of Hobby as someone below rightly pointed out is investing your leisure time(after fulfilling basic needs or if you remain idle) in what makes you Happy... ❤
I’ve found that knowing more than your partner is actually a turn off. Sometimes doing more makes potential partners afraid to commit. The worst is having someone who wants to sit on the couch or be physically bound to a life of barely any exercise and make excuses for themselves about why they can’t do something when they most certainly can.
Well I say fuck all this data. Be authentic, confident but be yourself. I put Dungeons and Dragons as one of my interests, and Gamer. I’m 38. If women see this as me being a man child, well feel free to skip. I’m gonna game until my 80s lol, and luckily women nowadays play games a lot more than they used to, but usually younger women, or those into engineering/IT.
I think for me women are very attractive when having a hobby and sticking with it for long periods of time (it could be literally any hobby too). Building a skill over years of practice is super super hot. It shows intelligence on a much deeper level and also that the person values building something. There are so many women that I've dated (or even just people in general) that have hobbies but change them month to month. They never really master anything.
Girls, GENERALLY speaking, don’t work on themselves like that. They are whimsical in nature… getting distracted or convinced of anything by passersby’s talking drama.
Totally agree. I also see no problem with having "just" one or two hobbies (besides work), which of course means that you have more time for that one (or two) hobby/ies. Of course, if people just enjoy doing multiple things (with less time on each) then thats fine too. But (as stated in the video), you should not do it, just because it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex.
@@nosferatualucard2613 Yeah, I agree! Multiple hobbies are ok. I just think it's more hot when they have less hobbies but more of a mastery of those hobbies. A constant switching of hobbies just shows lack of dedication to something or shows that they give up on something before it starts being worthwhile. I mean this isn't always the case but from my previous dating experience it's like I didn't see many good hobbies that went from the "difficult" stage to the more fun stage. Some hobbies just aren't fun when you first start out because you're not good at them...
I’m 44 yrs old guy. My hobbies have been refined over the years. 5 yrs ago my wife was cheating on me and I went back to some hobbies I left. I started lifting again, and got back onto Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’m also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor as well and I love to teach BJJ. I’m too old and have no desire to complete. My professional background is human behavior modification. So teaching BJJ is one of my favorite things to do while incorporating my 23 year of my professional experience into it. Prior to meeting my ex I was in BJJ for about 4 yrs and now I have been back for about 5 yrs and have lost about 80lbs of fat and gained about 30 lbs of muscle over that 5 yrs. I am far more fit than I have ever been. I do like tech stuff, I also build and refurbish gaming PCs. Mainly to teach my teenage kids about the importance of understanding current technology. I also would also shoot firearms a lot. At one point I was very good at tactical type shooting with many different platforms and types of firearms. Unfortunately ammo shortages and costs ruined that hobby about 6 years ago. The cost isn’t such an issue anymore but it’s the time it takes to actually go shoot. Getting everything ready, getting the proper equipment, and figuring out what skills need to be worked on takes time. Actually getting to the range and after the range all firearms need to be cleaned, properly maintained and stored. It’s a 3-5 hour timeframe from start to finish and that’s 1/2 day event. After that I’m typically exhausted as well. So my girlfriend isn’t interested in any of my hobbies. I think she likes the idea of what I find interesting but she has no interest in joining me. Which is completely fine with me.
I got into Rock Climbing mid last year and was pleasantly surprised when I saw how much of a plus a lot of women I met considered it! It's just fun to me lol but it also makes for a really fun date. Great video as always!
You always make interesting videos and I congratulate you on your honesty, about how women perceive men physically. As this is something that a lot of men don't really understand properly. I'm 55 and divorced and took a good look at myself in the mirror after I got back in the dating game. As, I had honestly let myself go from my mid 30's after being active and playing rugby since I was young. So, i went on a mission to better myself, lost weight and started to dress better and look after myself on all levels. And everything changed for me in all aspects of my life. One thing that does happen when you age. Is, your perception of women and what you are looking for in them changes. As the girl with the killer body isn't at the top of the list anymore. As, it becomes more of an emotional & intellectual connection than ones physical appearance. Its not settling for less. Its actually the total opposite, as attractiveness is now being found on different levels. thanks for posting the video.

Trial and error is the way. But first know who you are at the deepest levels. At the intersection of all subjects... the source abides.

@mrytully right none of these were skills. Art, musician, woodworking, making something, producing something…. Watching sports?
The most attractive hobby for a man is not choosing your hobbies based on what is attractive.
ok mommy
🤣
It won’t make me change my hobbies but it will prioritize which of my hobbies I will present to a woman… that is if she even cares enough to stop talking about herself and ask about me.
This. For every hobby you will find someone that’s passion driven. Never chose a hobby to make yourself more attractive if you don’t like it.
😂😂😂❤
For any dude out there watching this, dont gauge your hobbies based off of external validation. Find hobbies that are personally fulfilling to you. Theres nothing wrong with trying to increase your attractiveness but at the end of the day you should be investing in yourself and what makes you happy. There's someone out there that will like you for who you are, and building yourself to represent what others tell you will make you "more attractive" is a hollow path not worth walking. Chin up brothas
On point.
Makes sense
exactly!!

Those other women are absolute airheads. Bullets were dodged
I love it. I was/kind of still am in that situation. I never explained my finances but when they saw my vintage 1 bedroom apartment they all took off. I did some solo VERY high end travel when I hit an unexpected windfall and many of them tried to come back lol
I'm getting back to learning the piano and your comment gives me motivation.
You are so lucky dude. I would love to meet a girl, get married, and celebrate 25 years of marriage.
Here's my two cents:
I do believe that people are drawn to the feeling they get when they're in the presence of a passionate personality.
I completely agree! I wouldnt want a partner without hobbys simply because I have my own ones and dont want to give them up
Even the video game topic. As it turns out, women play them too.
I completely agree with you but I can't think of it so straight forward or simple... because I've been in situations where one of my particular hobbies would be the reason the woman was disinterested, mostly because they weren't interested in it themselves, so hobbies sometimes kinda need to align between partners
@@Aumaan924 which puts less value on the hobby and more on common interests.

-Having money

I'll second the writing. One of the big things that impressed my current GF was some of my short stories.

LOL! Thats epic! Your girlfriend calls and you answer: DAMNIT! Im gonna call BACK... so DON'T answer the damn PHONE! 'click'

Definitely strength sports. I even had an ex that was turned on by my tailoring skills when I fixed an old nightgown of hers and made it fit her better. If you're picking a hobby because it attracts women and not because you enjoy it, you deserve neither.
Always excited to see a notification from Courtney! 🎉
Aw thanks for being here! 🥰
Same here lol but I find that either women think I just have money or they view it as something I will never achieve so stop talking to me as a whole.
I love drawing, and now that I know how to do it it helps me cope. It helps me feel better and not stress.
Have a fun hobby and have her involved with you.
Yes! ❤️
Women only care about a guy’s looks.

Not really any point to learning a language I won't use or hardly ever use. But because I'm in the U.S. it may be worth learning Spanish.

I think I’m doing well haha. I love to work, travel, play music, work on cars, invest, fitness and other hobbies too.

This list is more accurate! I can relate to all of them. Politics can be such a turn-off
Hey Courtney, I'm a 60+ man, who has spent enormous amounts of time on dating sites.

Fitness can help train courage.
Brains 🧠 over Brauns 💪 Bro.
This is fine... EXCEPT in my 40+ years of dealing with females in EVERY single relationship I had the hobbie might have been attractive, but they ALL tried to get me to stop my hobbies because they said it took time away from them...🙄
Women do not care about a man's hobby lol your 40 years of actual life experience is correct
I rode motorcycles and guess what my ex-wife begged me to stop doing?
@@AmericanDuck they don't care about hobbies at all lol I hope men don't take these videos to heart
That's spot on. As a man who's into fitness and traditional family values. I do find it attractive when a woman is into health and family.
I'm stunned that "playing a musical instrument" isn't on there

Passive men don't like women with active hobbies.
@@wyleecoyotee4252 I mean, yeah, a lazy dude would also want a lazy chick. What’s your point ?
@@wyleecoyotee4252 totally agree. In my observations, most passive men will not date nor prefer women with active hobbies. Perhaps because the latter are too active and fulfilled for their liking.
Why do you want a woman with active hobbies? Whats wrong with netflix and chill?
Cool what martial art do you do? Have not seen many women at my mma studio.
I don't mean to be contrary, but I refuse to change any particular hobby I enjoy on the offhand chance they may not like it or are turned off by it.

Women only care about a guy’s looks.
Women only care about a guy’s looks.

14. Music - Should that be on the list I do it all the time like all the time.
as a musician, I feel left out ☹️
guess I’ll go write a song about it now
Music is a language. You are bilingual
Tell them you can play wonderwall and they'll be all over you
Just a reminder to everybody that this is not a magic trick.
Women only care about a guy’s looks.
My main hobbies are dancing, travelling, and photography. Never thought of their attractiveness, but they're all on the list :)

Women only care about a guy’s looks.
My hobbies are cooking, baking, drawing, painting, learning languages, swimming and workouts
You don't mind me asking are you single and searching
@@kunumercy1798 No :))
