    Yeah. This is the video that Philips should have made, and should link to for new setup/owners. Thank you!

      I agree, 110%, you wonder why they don’t make these type of videos themselves and use a QR scanning link to their setup videos.
      I’m sure more people would buy the products too.

    Mine keeps saying “No lights found.” Been trying for an hour. Tried resetting modem and bridge. I’m adding this new upgraded bridge and transferred settings from old bridge successfully. I’m ready to send it back if I can’t get it to work. My old one was working fine.

    What if I had lights, and I just added a hue bridge? I couldn’t add the existing lights that are out of my account into my hue bridge account.

    I was driven demented for nearly 2 days in trying to set it up to a plugin wireless extender/repeater so I didn’t have to risk another item getting damaged in hubby’s man cave and could have it upstairs. To cut a long story short it seems (at least for me) you need to register a hue account. It could be coincidence of course but that’s when it connected.

    Can the Philips Hue Bridge control Khsuin Smart Light Bulbs?

    Is a slider switch needed to operate he lights, is there a slider remote included while using iPhone with the hue app?

    • @radialtech
      @radialtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Use can use the Hue app, or HomeKit, or Philips sells a remote switch that can be mounted to the wall like a dimmer.

  • @samgao

    Does all the accessories need to be next to the hue bridge? Because I put the bridge in my network rack in my garage and it’s not seeing anything in my home.

      Some of the devices need to be within the minimum range - I think it's 30 ft but not 100% sure.

    Does the hue bridge have to be connected thru the Ethernet cable after the initial set up?

    My light bulb is not getting spotted by the app even after I used the serial number. Any reason as to why?

    • @radialtech
      @radialtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it an old bulb? It might need to be reset.

    Is the bridge and hub the same?

  • @Revelation001
    @Revelation001 ปีที่แล้ว

    What if you don’t have lights, you only have sensors?

    • @radialtech
      @radialtech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you mean will the hub work with sensors only, yes it will. Then you can use the sensors in an automation platform like HomeKit to trigger different things.

      probably have to reset the bulb and add it again to the system. Or the bulb itself could be broken

  • @profgyland2
    @profgyland2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The entire setup is not user-friendly at all and one has to go through countless legal documents before any installation can happen. By the way, Philips, nobody reads the legal rubbish in the first place as one needs to be a well educated solicitor to understand the legal jargon.
    My suggestion is to anyone interested to purchase the Philips Hue system to better look somewhere else where not so much legal nonsense and more service is available. Throughout the years Philips lost a huge part of the market as to their outdated management and stubborn hierarchy of the company. I know this first hand as I once was part of it.

    • @radialtech
      @radialtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, that's pretty much how it goes with tech these days! You've got those endless pages of legal jargon before you can even dive into using the product. It's funny how some folks see Philips being an all-in-one hub as a pro, while others see it as a con. Some people might be more into the hassle-free setup of products like Govee or Nanoleaf strips/bulbs that don't need a hub. Different strokes for different folks, right? 😄

    How the hell do you know what network your bridge is connected to??? That's what doesn't make sense. My modem cleared out my old WiFi network and idk how to connect it to the new one so it won't appear

    • @radialtech
      @radialtech  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't know your network, you probably need to factory reset it and start from scratch. We show how to do it here: th-cam.com/video/GZUgkijER0Y/w-d-xo.html There may be a way to join a different wi-fi network in software but if there is, we're not aware of it.
