Do these dim right down to 1%? Or is it like some lights where anything between 1-10% is basically the same dimness? I want to be able to dim very low. Thanks!
will they connect to music through Spotify? if so can you do a video on that? debating buying 4 lights for the basement, and a flood light for the shed
Do you know the diameter of the light itself, without the border/flange? Hue only published the outer diameter (6.7”) and cutout diameter (6”), but not the light diameter.
I've had poor longevity results with the driver boxes of similar-formfactor LED lights in my Thailand condo. They weren't RGB and weren't branded Phillips, but the body and orange clips look identical (who knows really which company is manufacturing what, now-days). Seems I have to replace them once per year.
Yeah I had some cheap ones from Amazon and these are not the same at all. The halo ones have orange clips too and worked well for me for 3 years now but the cheap knockoffs started dying about 6 months later
Hey thanks for the video. Is there a way to configure the lights during install where you can only turn on the Philips Hue light when it is in the ceiling with other non-smart lights or do you have to turn on all of them? Asking because I would love to only put in one Hue light and not replace all of them but use the different colors/dimming of just the Hue light without turning on all the lights. Thanks!
They would all need power on them at the same time, so you could turn the hue one off with the app, but as soon as you flip the switch, you couldn't control it any more
@adamtalkstech This is something else I'm wondering about. Do you feel these bulbs are in any way harsh or uncomfortable if positioned directly overhead or a few inches in front of seating position?
Thanks man
The first real video with these lights!
Man I wanted to make it for over a year just got buried on the list of vids to make
Great video! I didn’t notice. Did you install multiple lights? If so, was there room for multiple hots and neutrals on each connector box?
I bought 36 Govee 6 inch lights and I am having all types of issues. I'm returning and ordering these hopefully they work fine.
Man thats terrible. Still loving my 4 canless hue lights :)

The inner is 4 5/8"
Can you use these outdoors, installed in the soffit?

Great Video, What was your Spacing for the lights?
About 3-4 feet, that's just where the slots already were. I swapped some Halo lights out for these.
@@adamtalkstech That's good to know! What is the spacing from your walls to the closest light?
By nec code It never allow to not support the driver or junction box but everyone just push in the holes.

Do you think the hue junction box would fit in the blue plastic junction boxes that are installed within the attic?
Depends how big it is, but if its 1 gang, definitely no.
My downlight loses connection and cannot reconnect. Nothing works.
I miss lamps, overhead lighting is harsh.

Luckily you can still buy lamps!
