    Any thoughts on how to setup Zones with bluetooth devices (aka not using Bridge)? I've been searching for a way to do it with the bluetooth only devices so I can set them up to NFC tags

    As a user for many years, I’m always looking for new things I have not discovered... And the dropping of the icons on top of each to group them... Was so obvious, but I always did it one at time lol! Nice!

    like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

    Can you create strobe/pulsing effects or does that require the Philips Hue Bridge?

    • @Justin_tech

      You can, but not through the Hue app. I recommend the iConnectHue app. You will need a bridge for this.

    I just added a second bridge because I’ve reached the limit of my first bridge. I am going to make one bridge indoor lights and the second bridge outdoor lights. But currently I have a mix of indoor/outdoor lights on my first bridge. How do I transfer just the outdoor lights from my first bridge over to my second bridge? Is it possible to do this without losing all my presets, like on/off behavior and associations with Hue remotes? Thanks so much Justin!

    • @Justin_tech
      @Justin_tech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately to my knowledge there is no easy way to transfer. You will need to delete devices from one bridge and add to the other :(

    Great video, Justin! Was wondering if I should consider Philips Wiz or Philips Hue for my TV and PS5 setup. I want the lights to reflect the games I’m playing or the movies I’m watching. Thinking of having a combo of LED bulb near the PS5 console and LED strips behind the TV. What’s your view?

    • @Justin_tech
      @Justin_tech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should check out the gradient light strip. I reviewed it on here. It’s awesome behind the tv and if you pair it with the hue sync box it will change with what’s on the TV. Only thing is the sync box does not support 120Hz, so if that’s you, just know that. Either way, I recommend Hue - it’s the best smart lighting, has a great intuitive app, fades low and works well with smart home assistants. Let me know if you have any more Qs and do watch the gradient strip review!!

    Hello, great videos but have a question. I just connected the bridge and installed a couple of Hue lights to start. I have programmed the lights to come on at 7PM and shut off at 6AM. But I read that your light switch needs to be on at all times. So now the couple of lights I installed are on during the day. How am I able to turn them off during the day? Been trying to figure this out for hours? Do I need the dimmer switch? TIA

    • @Justin_tech
      @Justin_tech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the light switch aka the electric needs to be switched on at all times for the bulbs to function. Check out my Philips Hue Smart Switch guide video! That should help you figure out a solution. You will need a smart switch and there are options to cover the old ones as well.

I just want to use them with the standard light switch and set them so they come on at different brightnesses at different times of the day using the normal light switch. Is this this a bug with the BT setup, would it be possible if i got a Bridge? Many thanks, N

    It is at big garages in a cellar and the light shout leads the way… hope you can help a friend from Denmark..
    the light is 60*60 led panels and with a zigbee 3.0 driver I
    Can see all the 28 led panel on the hue bud I can’t make the scene… hope you can help

    Hello, I bought 1 Bluetooth light bulb months ago and have not been able to connect to my Apple HomePod or my Alexa first generation. Alexa keeps asking for a hub but I thought the Bluetooth bulb did not need a hub. Any help I can receive would be appreciated. The Bluetooth lights will work with Alexa, but not siri or HomePod (you need a bridge for this). With Alexa, go to settings and follow the instructions. If you are having issues with Alexa, it could be because it’s an older model product. Let me try and find out.

    • @Justin_tech
      @Justin_tech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1
