Mine is a frigidaire and it would spin for a while then it would make a noise like its being strained and stops at about half way through the cycle. Then if its not turned on it would make the strained noise again. What could that be?
Hey, what can be that the washer machine doesn’t wash cycle. Motor is working, spin works, water load works, but when it’s time for washing cycle nothing happens. Thank you
Great video. I have the same exact machine and does exactly that when it comes to rinse and spin cycle. I will try a capacitor first but can it still be the motor although it works perfect in wash cycle?
Real nice job. I have the exact same symptoms and figure it is either the motor or the start capacitor. Your video confirmed my suspicions and now I have to tear into it and figure out which one it is.
Question. I have a GE washer. Could you tell me what could cause the washer to keep spinning even when you lift the top? Normally, there is an auto stop when you lift the top. Also, during spin cycle it really goes super fast! What do you think?
Great job.. I had a job for that same machine but I turned it down at the last minute because I get up for work at 1:00 am & would have been driving all day & to get those parts, I would have been tired. I should have looked at your video first, I probably would have kept the job. I'm usually tired when I get off @ 9 & didn't want to drive another 40 minutes to another job. Great job though!
enjoyed your video, is there a way to remove the spin basket on a stackable kenmore? i just bought off of Facebook market place and of course the person said nothing about the scrud that comes with every wash.
Yes, just remove the base, remove the screws at the bottom surrounding the outside of machine, unhook the drain hose from the pump, remove motor wire harness and lift the whole unit off the base, should just be tub on base left.
@@LeanOnYourRep Thank you for getting back to me. Thank you for your help but I actually figured it out last night, My model was a bit different because it was a smaller and newer Kenmore.. I had to remove a panel cover in the back which revealed screws that allowed me to unplug drain hose and motor electrical. I was then able to lift top glass face off, take off bezel piece and get to spin bucket. Because I had the 24" the spin bucket was small enough to remove from top without lying it down. I actually found a video showing the same way you described but I was fearful I would not be able to rebalance tub so I opted out of removing the entire tub from bottom. Once removed enough pieces on top I had enough room to clear the top mounted dryer. Sorry for the long reply and grateful for your instruction. I have subscribed to your channel in case i come across some other issues you can help with. Thanks again. Wil.
Can you please tell me where I can buy a kit for the belts & dryer drum support please. I've looked on line & have found some separate pieces, but they are rather expensive buying them separately. Thank you.
Blessings,,,Just wonderign if you sell used parts? I''m looking for a lid switch for a GE Spacemaker washer dryer WSM2700DAWWW lid switch canyou point me inthe right direction? Thanks.😊
For anyone passing this video now or later. The click had to be a thermal overload. Heated up an opened that’s what the click was. Since the capacitor was bypassed. The motor was overheating trying to get going. An clicked again an closed. You’ll also get that same kind of situation a sound. If the Capacitor goes bad. An or say a bearing failed. An the motor isn’t able to spin pretty freely. You can check that easily by removing the belt from the motor to the drum. You should be able to pretty easily rotate the motor shaft by hand. Also what was shown here. Just like shown here. The motor was fried out. An in them situations. You can normally hand spin the motor shaft. If it was burned out electrically. The easy way to know. Is with a capacitor tester. Than you can rule that the problem. An or rule it out without having a spare motor to “Test” because not everyone will have that. An if your digging into repairing yours you can grab a capacitor tester off of Amazon for like $21. Just a little extra info to pass on Different line of work I’m in. But deal with alota motors an pumps of the electric kind. An it’s the same way with them. So that was the overload protecting the motor.
Dryer was sucker garden buss it out like coil needed to change cause it was spinning and no heat it was getting electricity but no heat best material is iron is the best one yet
Dude, wen you first turned it to spin after you put the capacitor on, the motor wanted to turn insaw it move, you should've helped the motor back to life bro,
it is not a stackable... only called Laundry Center... stackable is when you can unmount the dryer and put side by side... and the cap gives start power to make a stronger magneitic field to one of the poles to pull that direction if it is a north or south pole pull it will turn that way
My unit won't spin. Would the motor be the reason also?

This is such an awesome video. Thank you so much for posting it. It was clear easy to see easy to follow. Definitely a huge help.

Dont forget best electricity conductor iron even though it aint so easy to bend wrap it in rubber alternator provides its extra charges on the rpm
Good knowledge and troubleshooting that’s what i been searching for

Nice video Reggie ,
and thank you !. How much does a new motor cost to replace?

Lid safety switch has been bypassed or is fused closed.
Thanks for your time!!!!!
How do you get the front off?!
I have a Frigidaire stackable. Would it also have a wax motor ?? Also, is that wax motor attached to that lid switch shown in the video ?? thanks

would like to know how you got the front panel off without removing the top
there are two screws at the very bottom, then it slides down
Can you please tell me where I can buy a kit for the belts & dryer drum support please. I've looked on line & have found some separate pieces, but they are rather expensive buying them separately. Thank you.
you show the easy part.....but how the heck do you get the front panel off? that looks like the model I have.
Two screws at the bottom, put something under the machine to prop it up slightly and panel slides down and out
Hi have a Frigidaire washing machine when it is on the spinning cycle it is washing instead can you say what might be the problem
What about when the washer spins good in some cycles but not in others?
You may want to check your belt but certain Cycles spin at different speeds such as delicates will spin slower than heavy duty cycle
Stackable Frigidaire will not spin. When water stops filling it hums and overheats. Replaced capacitor and motor and still the same. Any ideas?
Sound like electrical, check for break in wiring and also test voltage at the wall outlet
Question: is it normal to have a lot of lint in the area around the exhaust pipe?
Depends on how old the dryer has been there. Should be cleaned one or twice a year
How did you get that front panel off?
Two screws at the bottom then push down then out
Good video
Your vidio is great. You explained it great. Than You. I subscribed 😊
Whqt about if it spins drains but doesn't spin when it's supposed to be washing?
What brand of washer do you have? If it's a Whirlpool Kenmore product that's usually a lid switch issue
@@LeanOnYourRep frigidaire
It won't agitate for was but it does spin.

Thank you very much for sharing this, it isn't my problem at this point, but I now know what a capacitor looks like & what it's for...:-}
I bought one off there and mines doing the same exact thing. So, before i have someone look at it. I shouldn't, I'll just buy a new one
Ever heard of volocity timer
you can easily check that cap with a DMM on microfarads ...
My motor is spinning but not engaging with belt
Motor for washer is alternator knowledge
Now you notice why i eat after because psi is the best one
This a rebadge Frigidaire. So its a Frigidaire but sold under Kenmore at Sears.

So it wasn't the capacitor that's not on all models... smh no capacitor here
Vaccum on compressor
Or alloy
