The wind blowing your shirt at 11:30 while the audio is still crispy is a convenient side test. You can hear the wind getting muffled, but without really disturbing your dialogue. That is awesome 🤘
Oh yea. I wonder how dependent that is on the sensor and lens they actually have in the camera. It might be restricted by the hardware. But I don't TOTALLY know that.
@@CaliradoKid The old model had around 138ish degrees fov.. so 157 is a heck more. I came from the insta360 One RS and the ace pro was a significant upgrade for my mtb videos. Awesome camera! Pretty sure the pro 2 will step up the game a notch.
@@sprousaTM Oh yea the new FOV is awesome. And honestly it's likely being cropped a LITTLE bit in this vid because I have stabilization set to HIGH. I could probably set it to STANDARD here since I have the camera mounted on my helmet and get a few more degrees of view.
Looks good! Since I have ridden these trails with you, its ability to show depth aka steepness seems better than other cameras! That is huge for us mtb riders! I didn't know it has a speed up feature, as I have ridden with you and umm well yeah it looks faster than normal.. lol jk 😂
Great review! do you a riding group for the trails in the video? I also ride here but you have different boulder features…keep up the great work..and ride!
I'm not a mountain biker (we'll, not since college anyway). 😅😅😅 Great locations though...almost made me want to take up riding again. Anyway, very cool location. I'm a GoPro guy myself...but this camera does look interesting (I do like the colors). Nice job on this video..can tell you really put some time into it.
Oh so I forgot my Evo in the truck. So I had the Hangover mounted on the top of my helmet. Still works great! But having the Evo AND the Hangover is the ultimate combo.
been running the osmo action 3 for the past 2 years now.... i think its time to upgrade! ace pro 2 looks a very impressive picture quality and the audio quality sounds great.
Yea I was SO surprised at how good the audio was with this thing. The built in wind muff is something we've been asking for FOREVER! So stoked on this thing.
I was sold on the last model so this looks even better. Any thought though on the online storage that Go pro was offering? 50 bucks a year is hard to beat, I would think this is another good upsell profit center for DJI and Insta so why arent they doing it? How do you handle storage, (everyone option I looked into was far more) and online is best for those of us that travel the world.
Ohh interesting topic. So as a content creator I setup my own Raid array. Pretty cheap! A couple hundred bucks and I have like 18TB of storage. No need to pay for cloud storage anymore. It’s awesome.
What is the stability like over rough trails when its fully dark. I'm thinking of upgrading from my Insta360 X3. I've been doing lots of night riding and the X3 isn't really up to the job.
So you can kinda see at the very end of the video it's pretty damned dark and I'm ONLY using my headlamp from Outbound Lighting. I forgot my handlebar light when I shot this. So I'm hoping to give it a full night test soon. But based on what I've seen I didn't see ANY breakdown in the stability when I shot that night footage with only the headlamp.
@@CaliradoKid as you can see from my footage with the X3 it's almost unusable. I'm looking for good stability when fully dark, I'm hoping the Ace Pro 2 can handle it. th-cam.com/video/Usv3ha0eZGU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aH_ZjPBf9176DN59
Do the files automatically split after a certain GB size or length or does the entire clip stay a single file no matter the length of shot on the Insta360 Ace Pro 2?
Oh good question! I wonder what length it would need to be to split. I can say off all the clips I shot nothing split into multiple sections. But I don't know how long my longest clip is. I'd have to assume that it stays one clip as my GoPro Hero 12 never split anything either and I did some big days in Spain with that thing.
Oh yea! That's the Outbound Lighting 'Hangover' light. I usually pair that with their Trail Evo handlebar light on night rides. Seriously the best setup in the business.
@@CaliradoKid fun fact - my brand new Fox Factory needed the wipers replaced cause the air side kept leaking. 1 month old :( of course that was after I convinced my wife it was worth the money because it’s the very best and high quality - well played Fox 😆
I gotta go stick it in an oven to stress test it! 😂 Seriously it was 103 degrees out when I was shooting this and I had no issues. But I didn't set out to really TRY and make it overheat. I can just say that in real world shooting and testing I had no issues.
all of the review's that appeard today and i skimmed over them, say the exact same thing, but with different footage, nobody dares to touch the overheating problem... i dont understand why
Hmm. I've never been known for my in depth reporting but I'm willing to bet DC Rainmaker would touch on it? I can tell you I was filming in 103+ degree weather the day I made this vid and had no issues. So not sure that's helpful but I honestly never ran into a problem.
Yea that's true. I will say having the footage from riding trails from around the world is still really cool. Like I can go back and look at my footage from Oaxaca even though I didn't technically make a video from it.

Footage is looking pretty dang good! The light/dark stuff was solid.
Yea it's super crisp! The low light performance is nuts.
Some of that low light footage looking like GTA 6. This new generation might just be worth the upgrade!

Yea dude. I'll send you a comparison clip I made of the gopro vs the ace pro 2. It's night and day.
For someone who swears by Leica, this is big. Insta360's image quality matching up is a pleasant surprise. Might be a new addition to my kit
Yea it's seriously good. I was actually stoked when I got the footage back and started editing.
Wow! 2 videos back to back?! BUSY! That camera looks incredible and the audio is so crisp! Sigh...Now I know what I want for my birthday!
