1st incident: surprised no one said anything about the driver behind you just about avoided, but abit of a dive bomb but you did make the apex, in real life the other driver would of seen and avoided
2nd incident: unsafe re-entry, the other driver would be black flag for sure.
3rd incident: you should have slowed down, idiotic move and cost you in the end!

    Of course he got banned:
he was still accelerating when there was a crash ahead of him 2 times.
At some point, he has to learn the rules before playing this game. It's not gran turismo.

I racet a lot at Zolder (also real life) and the first incident was not smart. You can overtake there but this was sort of dive bomb. When you wil overtake you have to be side by side there so the other one knowes you are there.
The other incidents. When you see that another goes off track don't keep your foot down on the accelerator. You know he have to go back on track so you have to slow down a bit.
In my opinion you don't deserve a ban. If you got banned for this than 50% of ACC players (and other race sims) have to be banned.

here's a tip, if you want to "become better" get your self a racing rig, even if it's just a clamp on racing wheel with force-feed back, your experience will be better and you will actually be able to react a lot better and learn how to properly play a racing simulator, also do more races against AI before popping into an online race, even through pit skill, you need more practice. and toss away that controller.

According to the latest Le Mans, first incident is totally fine, and second one is ~3-5 secs of penalty, no more.
It's an interesting problem, though, bc both incidents are the result of the fixed camera, and unlikely to happen in VR, where driver just instinctively checking the trajectory of cars on the corner side. From this point, I honestly understand why Gran Turismo not going further into simulation. Remember, if you don't die on impact, it's not a simulator.

  • @kingphoenix

Hi, for the first collision, don't you wonder why the cars in front braked earlier? The answer to this question is the same reason why you should not dive outside the racing line into the chicane. So it definitely has a penalty. For the second collision, according to the screen, the car on the left rejoin to the track in full view of you, and you also knew that there was a car on the right, so the only correct decision was to brake to slow down and try to avoid the collision, but you act with full the throttle and cuesed incident with car in right, and this also has a penalty. Regarding the third collision, I need to have a POV of the car that spun, if he didn't brake after losing control, he should get a penalty, even though you should have slowed down as you wrote in the video. In any case, in my opinion, all of these incident cannot cause a forever ban unless you have caused problems in connection with the stewards decision or the amount of previous penalties of your incidents has caused this forever ban. Goodluck😊

First incident you dive bombed a bit hard, into a chicane that doesn't really have room to have 2 cars going through it side by side on pace without it being really high risk.
On 2nd incident the guy goes off track on the left to avoid crashing into someone's back and then is bleeding time and wants to get back into the track, but he doesn't see there is a guy coming into the track from the right that was also doing a similar evasive maneuver. You kept your foot down thinking you could push through all that craziness going on, which is far from defensive and preventive behaviour. There was a speed sign on the pit entry and even a line on the floor that marks the start of the speed limited zone but you accelerated right up into it.
The 3rd incident is actually the one where you have less fault, you could've reacted better and usually you want to go on the rear of the spun car (usually the cars keep moving forward and not rearwards).
I'm not related to any of that and I haven't even played that much ACC lately, but I've done a ton of public lobbies even in AC sometimes I find totally clean races. Specially since WSS introduced safety licence.
The problem is that most people treat simulators as games and don't watch enough real life racing motorsport and don't love motorsport enough. Gamers will treat it just like a game "oh I crashed" and leave. There are always lessons to be learned from every incident even if it's not your fault you can do your best to prevent it, survive, and do better than having a shunt.
Also, in real life, real car damage is a problem, budget is a problem, fear of injury or worse is there.
I noticed in Assetto Corsa if I treat the simulator as more of a real thing and less of a simulation I will be more scared of other drivers doing shit (just like in real life) and then I end up avoiding more incidents due to defensive behaviour with survival mentality.
The thing that I find odd is the camera movement in your video, with a fully static camera I feel more precision and consistency while driving.
I see you're still on the tutorial for the "driver profile" in the right corner. Maybe it's your second account?
How many hours have you put into that car and track? How many times have you beat high rated A.I? How many fully clean incident free races have you had there?
Just trying to emphasize if you can't do it well offline don't think it's gonna go well online.
I've learned all these lessons by myself. Going thought similar situations.

    • @Team42Racing
      @Team42Racing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I expected the driver coming back on track to follow the turn in the road not come straight out - if I have to lift off, brake or anything from a car re-entering the track it's a dangerous re-entry - them be the rules - in real life yh you'd have self preservation, but as it's not real too right am going to take advantage of a mistake (or at least try)

We are all rookies to be fair, but with more and more time spending in racing, we will eventually learn a thing or two and improve our reactions and driving skills. Stay strong, and hope future races can have better outcomes than this one. Big cheers from Portugal!!💪💪

Fiterer didn’t cause that collision, you were hit by the guy on the right, it’s possible if you weren’t there he would’ve hit fiterer instead given how they were both converging on each other. It looks like they were both in each other’s blind spots so didn’t see each other and with more experience you may have been able to see that coming before it happened. Regardless of what happened on the rest of the race your involvement in that specific incident looks to be cause by lack of judgment. Best option is usually to just slow down and take the loss of time on the chin because it’s better than being in the wall. Honestly it’s all a learning process and that definitely wasn’t completely your fault so keep it up mate, these things just come with time
