Thank you this video! I have been personalising my statements however I’m still not getting shortlisted. I explain how my beliefs are similar to the school ethos etc. I’ve given examples of lessons and impact whilst referring back to the person specification etc. And I’ve mentioned what I can bring to the school etc. Currently I am a cover teacher and I’ve included how this is great practice for my classroom management skills and I’ve taught across all key stages etc. I’m not sure why I am still not getting to the shortlist process. I have been applying since February 2021, due to lockdown and school closures 😩 any advice here?
My best advice is keep trying and ask for some feedback from the schools you have applied to. Hopefully, they can give you some tailored feedback that will help you. If it’s not worked yet it just means you’ve not found the right school!
