its one of the bummers of living in colorado. very few actual lakes. just little mud puddles like quail lake. and sadly every body of water has friggin trout in it.
Yea, it's usually fished out or packed with tourists and paddle boarders. All of the Springs fisheries are infected by tourists and paddle boarders and non fishing kayakers. A few people are nice, most are rude and always in your cast zone.

Fished that same spot earlier in the year during an odd snow storm. Had decent luck and the weather kept folks away.

Thats my fav spot when i go to quail if cught some decent trout from that spot of a panther martin

Quail lake was my favorite place to fish about a month ago, but now there’s just too many people there. Lots of trout to be caught!
It gets packed. That’s why I recommend the weekdays and not the weekends.

This my friends is why you pick literally ANY other lake in the Springs
Quail Lake is not for everyone. People do enjoy it.
as an Avid fisherman i did hit Quail lake and Monument lake very often ..but my favorite place for good size trout is at Lake Deweese up at Westcliffe

That's why I go fishing early in the morning during the weekdays. Around the time I am finished is when people start showing.
