Very very clever use of clones to speed adding object with the same glow effect. Thanks for the video.

I've only been using Inkcsape for a couple months. I have learned SO much since finding your channel! So cool, thanks!

I've watched many glowing effects videos but I was never satisfied with unrealistic glowing effects. Thank you this 1 looks amazing 👏

Thanks, now I can make my neon :) I didn't even know it could be editable - great! :)
And it turns out you don't need 15+ minutes to do this tutorial. I only wish you could have opened the Layers and Objects window sooner, so it would be visible there when you send the clone to the bottom and then brought it up one step.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your tutorial! Queestion: if I wanted to do two different neon color effects on the same document, what would be the best way to manage the overlay layers per color? Say if I have two concentric circles, and I want them both to be neon but different colors.
Would I do an overlay for each neon group, or for the total document?

How do you pull the text off the black background to use on a different image ?

Are you using the newer inkscape? I don't have the layers and objects but just layers and when I view that there is only one layer without any extra? - Heidi

Since version 1.2, the Layers dialog and the Objects dialog have been combined into a single Layers and Objects dialog. If you're using a previous version, instead of using the Layers and Objects dialog here, try using the Objects dialog (located at the top of the Object menu)
