i had a complete stoppage of a certain note, my daily updates. but i realized that the file was just too long, and when i cut it in half, then it started working again. Maybe there is a limit size to how long a note can be?

You should update the last advice of deleting Notes app. If you never synced your notes to the cloud, you will lose them once you delete the app from your iPhone.
