Awesome video. I love my Penn reels and I totally agree with you on everything you said. I use the pursuit III’s a lot. The first one I bought was because of one of your videos a while back. I’m glad I watched it because that’s my go to combo now. It’s pretty hard to beat for like $70.
*Bought a 500 for an ultralight rod. It's very smooth **enjoyable.fishing** recommend casts great. One odd thing- the bale wire is a bit heavy diameter in my opinion for a reel of this size. But a great purchase.*
Great review! My late Father fished Padre when he was a Boy Scout living in Dallas and his troop camped for many years there. That was 1938-1941. Said all that was growing there was mesquite.
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
Thanks for the info. Ever since watching this video I’m planning to modify my Penn fierce 3 6000 with a Penn battle 2 metal rotor. Not that it’s necessary and I’ve never heard of Penn fierce’s graphite rotor failed before. It’s just a small modification I’m planning to try out on my reel.
@@SlotCityFishing awesome! I’m from Hawaii and I do a lot of shoreline fishing here. I just completed the the upgrade. My Penn fierce 3 reel feels a lot more rigid now 👍🏼
The master says well done, Jesse. Couple of things... 1. I actually pulled a Fierce 2 off the bottom of the intracoastal and fished it for 2 years without doing a thing to it. 2. Then when it stared locking up I pulled parts off an old Pursuit 2 I had sitting around. Got another 2 years out of it. Everything you were saying about these reels being interchangeable is spot on. Your video has helped me better than any other that I found anywhere on youtube. Been searching for a new reel this past week, looking up reviews etc... found Penn to be the best for what I am looking for. Thank you for the great video.
Great review. My Penn Fierce II 3000 was my first saltwater reel. I bought it about 3 years ago. It has served me well fishing from the beach/surf and from the pier. I bought a Pursuit III 2500 a year or so ago, and I really, really like it. I have used it fishing surf and from the pier also. I like it so much I recently ordered a Penn Pursuit III 4000 size. I love the Pursuit. I did get a great deal on a Battle III 5000 reel recently. I paired it with a 9' Penn Prevail II surf rod.
Great info Jess. I have several Btl 2’s 3000 up to 6000 also a couple Fierce 2’s. Was looking at a Fierce 3 surf rod combo at BP the other day. Seems like a good deal for 10’ rod and 6000 real at 100$
Thank you for the video! It has help me decide to purchase the Penn fierce lll 6000 and Penn 9' surf rod for the price of the reel. It also came with 30lb braided line. Thanks again!
I picked up a fierce 3 two years ago. two trips to OBX and mistreatment with salt water it is still kicking and i dont know how. I cleaned it out 7 months after my last trip with heavy surf use and it barely needed any oil touch up. taking it back down next month with a Cadence Stout 5000 and see which one holds up better.
First time finding your site, enjoyed & subscribed. I'm a diehard PENN fan. Have retired a pair off 555GS's, a GTi 320 for bottom fishing, & a pair of 7500ss's. For lighter duty, still using an original Pursuit 5000, an original Fierce 6000, and two Fierce III, 4000 & 5000, Also retired the Sargus 6000 on a Slammer when I just learned about it's history. I've kept my reels mint after hundreds of hours on the ocean. Just purchased 2 Squall 30LD full anodized brass bodies and hardware. I do like them very much - but I was a little disappointed when I saw the 'made in China' sticky under the reel seat. I wonder, does PENN supply the parts to China, and they assemble them, then ship them back?
Damn, great info on all. I’ve been a Shimano guy and wanting to try Penn, so I started with the Pursuit III. I like it the I bought a Fierce III for jettie fishing and like it to. It's now the end of 2024. I heard someone in a tackle shop say that bigger reels, 5000 or 6000 models, some of them have brass main gears and not aluminum. Some are CNC machined. Is that true?
@@707SonomaComa no idea but I will tell you for certain that it doesn’t matter at all. The cheapest reels (within reason) are amazing compared to reels even 5 years ago. Save your money and get penn pursuit reels. Anything else is overkill unless you are going offshore.
@SlotCityFishing yea, it's easy to get caught up in all the specs of the reels. Some have CNC machined brass main gear, Daiwa has a huge oversized gear, others put bearings everywhere.
I’ve just recently ordered a penn fierce 3 1000 model for my light rod can’t wait to see what it can do I’ve got few fierce 2 and 1 use them a lot never any issues great video btw good to see a actual review
Im still rockin 3 Penn Fierce 1 reels with upgraded carbonex washers...Until they fail I wont be buying any new reels...Great review, and honest. Rare these days...Thanks. This video made a subscriber out of me...lol.
thanks for subscribing bro make sure to turn on the notifications we just uploaded a review of the battle III and are giving it to a sub. hit the bell so you dont miss any new content. I agree with you im rockin the same fierce 2 reels now ive had for over 4 years.
I noticed the Paper Tiger in the background? Are you still in the air and make it through training? I was 2 days from taking the A320 oral and was told to go home and wait.... then furlough.
Great information. I was in a remote town here in Alaska and had an old cheapo reel die on me. So I picked up the Fierce III in a 5000 size and used it on a cheap rod, expecting to replace the rod. Catching Alaskan Salmon, Rock Fish and possibly some halibut. Any recommendations on what to look around for in a rod?
glad it worked out for you. im not familiar with fishing in alaska at all so dont really wanna recommend you something for that because i have no experience with it. thanks for watching our videos tho and i hope you are a subscriber to the channel with notifications turned on we just did a review of the battle III with a giveaway for it.
I am looking for a reel to catch schoolie stripers up to ten pounds and also bluefish in the brackish rivers near me. Rods from 6'6" to 7' medium heavy rods. I don't want to make a mistake and buy a reels that aren't suited for this. Mostly fishing with lead head jigs and trailers. Almost freshwater style lures.
i have a penn fierce 3 3000, this thing is freakin durable, it fell out of the back of our truck at 60 mph and we found it on the road and i still use it, i also got it wedged in my bike tire at pretty much full speed, it has kept fairly smooth considering all the saltwater spray it has had on our boat, i service it every couple trips cause i would like my 80 dollars to last, but yeah great reel, also i use it in the laguna madre.
I love my Penn reels too. I have a Spinfisher 3000 and a Pursuit 4000 and also a Shimano STRADIC 4000 maybe you could do a comparison between the 3000 and 4000 series of Penn and Shimano👍👍😎
i live in new zealand and since ive watched your chanel ive brought the pursuit3 8000 actually brought anothrer loved it so much and for the price cant beat em also grabbed the fierce 8000 , only problem i have with them is the weight so im gunna get the 6000 pursuit as i surfcast . I own alot of penn reels up to the slammers but this season just wanted to test out the entry lvl penn reels i love the pursuit was just gunna get the battle just to add to the collection lol awesome review bruv keep em coming

Hey. I have a Fierce 3 4000 and if I fill it up with line I get knots when casting. Line lay is terrible. Solution was not to fill it up all the way. Maybe half 120-135 or 150 meters of line and not so heavy maybe 0.15-0.18 mm braid. How is yours? Do you have any issues?
Thanks Jim! Hey dude I met you years ago in 2016 when I use to live in Pensacola goin to flight school. You prob don’t remember me. Anyway I’m back now living in Pace. Would love to get up with you and fish. I would consider you a local legend man. Thanks for watching. You should check out the new videos I’ve been making since being back in the Pensacola area.
Jesse, I’m right there with you on 99% of this. Particularly concerning the Spinfisher V to VI and the Pursuit 3 series. Imo there is no better, bang for buck reel, and if we’re really honest with ourselves, the Pursuit 3 series could easily meet the needs of 99 percent of the fisherman out there (myself included). However, it’s also fun to ball out and treat yourself every now and then. Personally, my favorite Penn spinning reels have to be my Spinfisher V 6500ll reels for all around value with the bad to the bone factor. Usually, I prefer them over my slammer 7500 SLA reels unless I’m targeting serious fish at the coast or chasing trophy size catfish (> 50lbs) and need a winch. Great info brotha and I appreciate how you keep it real.
I 100% agree with you on the 5 is better than the 6. I have a spinfisher 6500 V and 8500 it was nothing but awesome. I’ve had nothing but problems my 2500 and 6500 VI
4 weeks ago i bought a Penn fierce 3 6000 rod and reel combo from bass pro for $100. I haven't done a whole lot of surf fishing, however it seemed to do quite well during my trip to Fernandina.
thats great bro. glad it turned out well. if you are local join or fb page and group people post reports in there all the time. also hope you are a sub to the channel we just uploaded a battle iii review and we are giving it away to sub we are also about to hit our big 10k sub giveaway.
Thanks for your advices brother, I live down in Cuba, getting fishing gear here is a big issue, mostly if you have to buy the better-cheaper thing to make it last ‘cause you don’t know when you’re gonna be able to get another again. Thanks a lot, keep going 👌👍
Not having a metal body is a huge negative, I purchased the pursuit 3 and 2 days later a 37in snook pulled so hard it bent the shaft (cracked the graphite) and snapped the rotor right off.... Remember, all the force from the fish goes right to the rotor ... I liked the reel for the few days it lasted though
@@SlotCityFishing unfortunately you can't use less drag when structure fishing for snook, those fish bite and then bolt for the nearest piece of structure to break you off ! You need to stop snook dead in their tracks otherwise you've lost them... Like I said, I liked the reel for the day I had it but it's not a reel that can handle snook or redfish structure fishing, get something solid like the Penn fierce
thats great consider subscribing to our channel we are always doin reel giveaways we are doin one now for the penn battle III turn on notfications so youll see all our new content.
Hi, I've got spinfisher 7500 LC for my surf rods but also bought a fierce 8000 recently - When you say it's the same reel as the cheap ones, does that mean when I want a spare spool for my fierce 8000 I should buy a pursuit 8000 spool? Thanks - just subscribed.
Looking to catch striped bass up to 20lbs or more on the lightest setup I can cause I hate heavy clunky gear, just using spoons, shads, swimmers, maybe some poppers and stuff, what’s the cheapest reel you’d recommend for this?
penn pursuit III would work totally fine man. lots of hype around fishing gear. thanks for watching the videos and if you arent already subscribe to the channel with notifications we are always doin more reviews and give aways.
I never rinse or clean my reels except maybe once a year that’s why I buy the most salt water resistant ones I can afford. Thanks hope this helps and hope you susbscribed
I freaking love my Penn Fierce III 4000 I use it with a 6'6 Zebco Rhino Tough rod. Catch a lot of snapper with it. Using 20lb braid I bought from Walmart forgot the brand though. But honestly I want to find more Goat Rope braid man that braid is so nice.
I agree that for the average guy, that new pursuit will probably do everything they need, and probably for a few years if well taken care of. And I'd also pass on everything else up the line till you get to the spinfisher. I have 2 SSVs. The only SSVI I'd buy right now that's an improvement over the SSV is the liveliner model. Buch better design than the SSVLL. The slammer 3 is nice. I have 2. But aside from it being slightly smoother than my SSV I really don't notice a difference. I only use it because if you're fishing a popular place and need to get into a line, guys only know you by your gear, and are more likely to accept you if you got a nicer reel..
bill colahan I use 30lbs power pro not because I think it’s the best or anything just always available. I use blue camo spider wire on my surf fishing gear.
I lashed out on pursuit 3 8000 and 6000 , no complaints happy with both of them, bought another brand in a smaller size for 40 dollars more, got sucked in by the bling ,wish I never did, doesnt come close.
The construction on the fierce 3 8000 looked weak. The plastic part that holds the bale was very loose already on the one in bass pro. For smaller reels they are probably fine. Can someone with a lot of rod/reel knowledge give me advice? I’m setting up a rig for tarpon, cobia, bull redfish, and sharks. It’s got to be cheap, last, and be a spinning set up. After doing research I decided on a Penn 850ssm, Penn allegiance II heavy, fast action 1 piece 7ft rod, 65lb braided with 80lb mono liter, and some large swim baits. Total cost is 230$ shipped. Are there better options for the money? Will the penn 850ssm hold up to those bigger fish? Is heavy action enough or should I get the extra heavy rod? Thank you to anyone that replies.
Alison H you can easily land all those fish on a fierce reel. Look up the channel flying fish he is a kayak fisherman in Oahu and he lands giant tuna on them. Don’t get sucked up into the hype. On the channel I landed a 38” bull redfish on a size 3000 battle II reel on a 6’6 medium light rod. Just my opinion. That same part on the bail wire is the same part on nearly all their Reels and realistically once the line is in the roller bearing you don’t even need the bail wire. That’s why people have bailess reels.
@@SlotCityFishing I am also planing on using it to fish for grouper in rocky waters. I will check out that channel. I've had Shakespeare 3000 reel snap on me with a 30in redfish. Just want to be able to have the set up for 3-4 years at least with heavy use. I do take care of my stuff, will grease with white lithium and disassemble if ever dunked.
Dude, one of the best reviews I've seen. Much better than the phoney sponsered pretty boy videos. I am coming down to Amelia Island in 3 weeks, and I was trying to get a couple surf rod and reels, that will only be used a few times a year since I am in Atlanta. The Pursuit sounds like the ticket. I was looking at the Battle or the Fierce, but thanks to your video I will go the other way. Any suggestions for rods to go with it? 10 or 12 ft. I am assuming they make the Pursuit in the larger sizes. Liked and subscribed!
Yep, Penn makes a 5000, 6000 and 8000 pursuit iii. I’m using two 6000 and a 5000 and love them. BERRYPRO sells some pretty nice rods on Amazon for around 50-60 bucks. I use their 9.6’ stripper and the 11’ monster surf. Not as nice as St Croix rods but 1/4 of the price and the fish don’t know the difference
Same for me. I bought my first Penn fierce 7000 (the first generation) back in 2012 for surf fishing in Hawaii which we called dunking. Caught a lot of shallow water snappers and bonefish with it. It’s still going strong till this day and only recently the reel got it’s first service.
Best vid on penn… bought the fierce 3 for 46 bucks on Amazon (4000 only). Almost the same price an the pursuit I bought (3000) on sale… but the fierce is HEAVY…
The biggest baddest reel i have is the penn slammer 3. All that stuff is for sale on our amazon page in the description of the video. Thanks for watching and tight lines.
I just found my new favorite reel...... the Shimano ultegra, it’s 150 bucks but lemme tell ya it is amazing, I have fell in saltwater from my kayak and it was under salt water 5 minutes and works like new, it gets dunked and splashed with saltwater every time I fish and is still like brand NEW! I have never serviced it or greased it just a rinse after every use and some lubricant. GO GET ONE!!

thanks for subscribing bro make sure to turn on the notifications we just uploaded a review of the battle III and are giving it to a sub. hit the bell so you dont miss any new content. I agree with you im rockin the same fierce 2 reels now ive had for over 4 years.
I noticed the Paper Tiger in the background? Are you still in the air and make it through training? I was 2 days from taking the A320 oral and was told to go home and wait.... then furlough.
I’m a pilot in the navy
Thank you so much this review is great. I'm a beginner fisherman and I am ready to go for my second time.
Glad it helped check out our new stuff
How do you spool the braided line on this reel do you have a video on it?
There’s a rubber ring that the braid grabs and it works great just knot it on there
Was trying to decide between the Penn reels you reviewed. Thanks. Very helpful. Also not a fan of the reviews straight from the box.
Yea those are lame
I am looking for a reel to catch schoolie stripers up to ten pounds and also bluefish in the brackish rivers near me. Rods from 6'6" to 7' medium heavy rods. I don't want to make a mistake and buy a reels that aren't suited for this. Mostly fishing with lead head jigs and trailers. Almost freshwater style lures.
Are you fishing in the water wading? What did you end up getting?
i have a penn fierce 3 3000, this thing is freakin durable, it fell out of the back of our truck at 60 mph and we found it on the road and i still use it, i also got it wedged in my bike tire at pretty much full speed, it has kept fairly smooth considering all the saltwater spray it has had on our boat, i service it every couple trips cause i would like my 80 dollars to last, but yeah great reel, also i use it in the laguna madre.
Nice bro that’s a solid reel to take that beating. Check out our new stuff bro I think you’ll dig it.
This would have been helpful before I bought my fierce iii (on sale) and battle iii haha. Battle iii little bit of an upgrade right?
Yea man absolutely! You won’t be disappointed and it “should” last longer it has more sealed bearings.
is the firece 3 liveliner in 4000 size good for atlantic stripers? or should i go to the 6000?
Not much different either one if you max the drag your gonna lose the fish or snap your line
I love my Penn reels too. I have a Spinfisher 3000 and a Pursuit 4000 and also a Shimano STRADIC 4000 maybe you could do a comparison between the 3000 and 4000 series of Penn and Shimano👍👍😎
Yea that’s not a bad idea. What reels in particular would you like to see?
i live in new zealand and since ive watched your chanel ive brought the pursuit3 8000 actually brought anothrer loved it so much and for the price cant beat em also grabbed the fierce 8000 , only problem i have with them is the weight so im gunna get the 6000 pursuit as i surfcast . I own alot of penn reels up to the slammers but this season just wanted to test out the entry lvl penn reels i love the pursuit was just gunna get the battle just to add to the collection lol awesome review bruv keep em coming
WARRIORS allday real talk pursuit is a super capable reel. As far as functionality goes I would put it against any other reel. Thanks for watching the channel brotha. I’d like to see some of your catches from New Zealand. What are you fishing for? Tight lines!
@@SlotCityFishing Brother in the process of getting some camera gear , over here we target inshore trevally kahawai snapper and Kingfish i have a bud whose chanel has all the species i catch if you have time and want to take a look at what we catch here and scenic veiws check this guy out Darkmoon angler
Thanks bro I’ll def check it out. I use to live on Oahu but I was more into spearfishjng then.
Thanks for all that info
Hopefully the weather will let us fish soon
yea no kidding.
Ive had no issues with it its a great reel. Ill probably buy more f them.
Outstanding review. I agree with you 100%. I’m a penn man too. Penn pursuit III is the best for the money and I mostly surf fish in Pensacola.!
@@SlotCityFishing …. I bearly remember that. That seems like a century ago.! I’m still fishing but mostly in Navarre now.!
That’s where I fish most often all my recent vids have been Navarre and opal or in between.
@@SlotCityFishing …. I live in Milton. Love to get up with you to go fishing.
Sounds good bro I’ll message you on fb
Are the fierce 2,3, and battle 2 spools all have interchangeable spools also
They do
Cool review man! I just got one myself. My brother in law is also stationed in the Navy in Jax, and I grew up fishing there.
Fish Facts TV hells yea you should introduce him to me we can go fishing
Where'd you get the flag pick guard on the strat? Came for fishing, but guitar guy got distracted.
This guitar was a gift I couldn’t tell you sorry
What reels are you using now? I have 4 6500 live liner spinfishers now
My favorite penn reels are the penn clash and spinfisher, very durable. I love my daiwa Fuego lt, BG and Shimano stradic too. Great review Jesse!
i need to buy a clash. thanks again for watching dude.
I 100% agree with you on the 5 is better than the 6. I have a spinfisher 6500 V and 8500 it was nothing but awesome. I’ve had nothing but problems my 2500 and 6500 VI
Yea I still feel that way!
Nice video! Although i was more intrigued with penn conflict 11 3000 . What do you think will be better reel spinfisher 3500 or penn conflict 11 3000?
They are different reels completely the spinfisher is a tank the conflict is a light weight stealth fighter
Saw slawr nevermind . Lookomg for 8000 or bigger. Offshore runa shark etc. You think diawa bg or stick with penn the battle 3
I’m partial to penn
Thanks for your advices brother, I live down in Cuba, getting fishing gear here is a big issue, mostly if you have to buy the better-cheaper thing to make it last ‘cause you don’t know when you’re gonna be able to get another again. Thanks a lot, keep going 👌👍
Wow that’s a long ways away what kinda fish do you catch there?
Not having a metal body is a huge negative, I purchased the pursuit 3 and 2 days later a 37in snook pulled so hard it bent the shaft (cracked the graphite) and snapped the rotor right off.... Remember, all the force from the fish goes right to the rotor ... I liked the reel for the few days it lasted though
If you had less drag that wouldn’t have happened
@@SlotCityFishing unfortunately you can't use less drag when structure fishing for snook, those fish bite and then bolt for the nearest piece of structure to break you off ! You need to stop snook dead in their tracks otherwise you've lost them... Like I said, I liked the reel for the day I had it but it's not a reel that can handle snook or redfish structure fishing, get something solid like the Penn fierce
What do you think about the shimano baitrunner for fresh water stripers up to 50lbs
Ive never caught a striper before so I dont know how they fight but I have caught big ol sharks on bait runners. Im sure it will do fine.
Thanks for the awesome, honest review. You saved me a bunch of money!
thats great consider subscribing to our channel we are always doin reel giveaways we are doin one now for the penn battle III turn on notfications so youll see all our new content.
Alex Doe I’d try it out first but I’m willing to bet it’s identical
Looking to catch striped bass up to 20lbs or more on the lightest setup I can cause I hate heavy clunky gear, just using spoons, shads, swimmers, maybe some poppers and stuff, what’s the cheapest reel you’d recommend for this?
penn pursuit III would work totally fine man. lots of hype around fishing gear. thanks for watching the videos and if you arent already subscribe to the channel with notifications we are always doin more reviews and give aways.
Thinking of getting the live liner 4000. What ya think yall
It’s great i have one
I have 2 penn conflicts, and a slammer 3, my slammer is way too heavy. Do you think the Shimano nasci is any good?
yea those reels are awesome my brother has a few of them.
how do you treat the reel post salt? do you disassemble it completely after every salt fishing venture?
I never rinse or clean my reels except maybe once a year that’s why I buy the most salt water resistant ones I can afford. Thanks hope this helps and hope you susbscribed
Best review ever. Keep up the quality work.
Thank you very much!!!! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you susbscribed
@@SlotCityFishing I really enjoy the review without the crazy jargon, it is rather relieving.
And yes I did subXD.
Awesome dude on a cow
I freaking love my Penn Fierce III 4000 I use it with a 6'6 Zebco Rhino Tough rod. Catch a lot of snapper with it. Using 20lb braid I bought from Walmart forgot the brand though. But honestly I want to find more Goat Rope braid man that braid is so nice.
Goat rope braid I’ll have to check it out I hope you subscribed thanks!
Great video👍🏼 got myself the Battle II this weekend!👌🏼 keen to see how it holds up!
Yea man they are great
I agree that for the average guy, that new pursuit will probably do everything they need, and probably for a few years if well taken care of.
I disagree completely
From a former NFO, thanks for the vid!
FLY NAVY. Thanks for watching the vids.
Great video. What line do you prefer and use mono or braided. Thanks
bill colahan I use 30lbs power pro not because I think it’s the best or anything just always available. I use blue camo spider wire on my surf fishing gear.
Great and honest info, from 1st hand accounts. Thank you
thanks for the comment bro. i hope you are a subscriber to the channel with notifications we just did a battle 3 review video with a giveaway.
I lashed out on pursuit 3 8000 and 6000 , no complaints happy with both of them, bought another brand in a smaller size for 40 dollars more, got sucked in by the bling ,wish I never did, doesnt come close.
Yea penn are tanks man can’t beat them
Hope you are a subscriber to the channel we have a lot of great new content
@@shakeme3290 Thanks!
What did you end up getting?
Sold my penn spinfisher v live liner paired w/my ugly stik tiger, I'm sick I had to do it! Money issues suck!!
That sucks bro
Any chance u know a group of angles going offshore this weekend, heading down from NJ and would love to tag along. Pls let me know thanks a lot bud
Do you ever find some buddies?
Got my first penn in 2011 and till this day it’s still pulling in monsters and working like a champ💪🏽
Same for me. I bought my first Penn fierce 7000 (the first generation) back in 2012 for surf fishing in Hawaii which we called dunking. Caught a lot of shallow water snappers and bonefish with it. It’s still going strong till this day and only recently the reel got it’s first service.
Yea man I’ve had my same ones on my reels now for years
Diferenced betwen spinfisher v and spinfisher vi?
Thanks
I made a video about it. Check it out.
Pursuit 3 it is for me I was on the fence with the fierce 3
Pursuit is a great reel
Is the penn 8000 combo strong enough for large tarpon fishing?
Ex Bucket oh yea. I will say tho that the 8000 is a very large reel when I tarpon fish I use a 5000 slammer III it’s more compact and more drag
Best vid on penn… bought the fierce 3 for 46 bucks on Amazon (4000 only). Almost the same price an the pursuit I bought (3000) on sale… but the fierce is HEAVY…
Thanks bro glad it helped
What are your thoughts about the pursuit II reels by Penn
Get the pursuit III its much better.
What reel would be best for big catfish 50lbs to 80lbs fish
The biggest baddest reel i have is the penn slammer 3. All that stuff is for sale on our amazon page in the description of the video. Thanks for watching and tight lines.
Very informative !!1 Enjoyed the video! Thanks!
thanks for watching bro i hope you are a sub with notifications on we are always uploading new content and doin big giveaways. tight lines.
I’ll have to try one man. How’s your channel coming along
Enjoyed the review and I agree 100%
Thanks shake
I’m going with the penn 3 8000 but on options it says plastic or box
The package doesn’t matterb
Man lived in corpus for 6 years lived in Pensacola for 1 year and have been in Jax for the last 10 years that’s crazy
maybe im your doppelganger. thanks for watching our vids i hope you are a sub with notifications on we just did a review of the battle 3 and we are giving it away to one of our subs. thanks again for watching. im sure ill run into you one day. tight lines.
Are spools interchangeable
Yep
Hands down the spinfisher V is the best reel in the vid...solid for years in the salt
Def still have the same ones
I have a battle ii 4000 and I just bought the pursuit iii 4000 and the only differences I can find is the weight and the looks🤣
They are different the battle has sealed bearings but using it you could never tell that. Hope you enjoyed the video and hope you’re a subscriber. There’s a lot of new great content
i just bought a penn fierce 3 4000 is that good for fishing for fluke
or flounder same thing
Nice man do you still have the reel?
What Fisherman haven't own a penn real. One of the best brands out there. Been a penn user since 1995
Yea they are my favorite
Great and honest review.

never used one before. prob good tho. thanks for watching the videos and consider subscribing to the channel.
@@SlotCityFishing already got it. Superb low cost reel ! Btw thank you for the reply 👍
good deal man thanks for watching our content. ill have to try one of those reels out.
Thank youu ! Yeah you can try 😁👍
Hope its better than the original. Saltwater kayak fishing pretty much disintegrated 2 of them, regardless of care.
I still use my fierce 2 reels since 2016 and I’ve never cleaned them.
Thanks for your information. Ima check out your videos
Thanks dude. Lots of new stuff recently check it out
which one better fierce iii vs battle ii ??? which one you choose ? thx.....
