Anchovies. Just plain fresh Anchovies. If you want to do a little extra work, I brine them in salt water so they stay more firm on the hook. I add a bit of garlic for scent. I cut off the head and tail and put it on a 1/0 hook. If the cut bait is not staying on the hooks well I might use some Magic Thread to wrap it. I usually just tie up a Carolina rig with a 2oz “no roll” weight. I fish two rods most of the time.
