All that’s left of the commentators is Neil Crompton. Raymond, Wilko, Dougie & Brockie left us some magic moments and laughter. R.I.P. to these legends especially Brockie. 1988, a year to remember.
I remember watching this live with a bunch of mates. We were all so jealous of Crompton. Not knowing of his background in motorsport from the time he was a kid, we were all like "this guy from the commentary box has been given a drive in Brock's car, wtf?".
As a commentator none better,he was really excited that day. That was a 6 speed in that car.Pretty good driver though, he’s like many people at Bathurst he was very unlucky .

7 Sport really pioneered the on-board cameras as years went by and won quite a few awards in doing so.
