Listening to Mezera, he may have been born in Czechoslovakia, but he's as Australian as Brock. I nice look into the inside story on a few notable Bathurst incidents.
Mezera is a great guy. It's nice to hear his perspective. I'm sure he was a bit put out by the way the whole Brock return thing happened. He was effectively running the team in the early 90s for a period then the whole Brock bandwagon went to full steam ahead. Hearing him describe Brocks accident in the 1995 top ten shoot out is simply hilarious.
Yeh right... Which "component" was it that broke?... Luv Brock but this was THE key moment in his life that the world saw on live television that something was wrong, that the driver who re-emerged from HRT in 1994 was not the same driver that left HDT after 1987 . This crash made him a wounded animal (psychologically). I liken this event like in the movie Predator where once the alien Predator was wounded in front of his opponents and had been revealed that he could bleed...Umm you know what Arnie said then don't you... But Psychologically he was in a tail spin.. when you look at the mistakes he would would make on a Somewhat regular basis over the next 3 years, the type of mistakes that are not befitting of a professional race driver. It baffled our minds at the time as they happened.... and sadly this would be what eventually killed him 😔.
Brock also crashed in the top 10 shootout in 95 . In 1986 in Europe he was off the track more than he was on it . That’s why the Europeans didn’t rate him.
Poor Thomas, what a pity he couldn't have been a co driver back when they were running a 202 against a 351 and winning races, Brock in his day was absolutely something else as a Driver, his wins were not made up, I remember watching him from 71 through to 85 every sandown, sitting in the grandstand every lap watching him get closer every lap until such time the xu1 Torana was just in front, and I saw it with the Slr, L34, A9x And the Commodores, he was a killer driver
I love how skaifey at the time owned hrt out of respect wanted him in a good car and to send him off at Bathurst respectfully. Tip of the hat to you skaifey
"Tomas left too much rear brake bias" wait did he just say that the other way around. If you have too much rear brake bias the car will understeer not oversteer.
@@jasonkay194 No one runs that much rear brake bias, it would have to like F-20 R-80 to do that considering the rear brakes are smaller than fronts. No driver would do that.
@@0158-t3s Brock was not that fast in his Torana, Steve Josiah #68 goes through the chase at 175mph in his 4 door LJ Torana running a turbo carved red motor. Brock could have learnt a lot from Steve.
I have heard this from multiple people that have met Peter Brock " When he speaks with you its as if there is nobody else on the planet"
Always loved & always missed x
As a victorian boy in the 80s, all I wanted was to have a commodore like brockys.
Rip Brocky 👍✅✅✅✅✅
I’m a ford fan through and through but brockie is a legend! RIP Peter brock
We shall remember the legend of brock
Loved the driver and the man RIP Peter Brock
Peter brock requires a movie. I'm not australian but he was/is an Australian legend. Kinda like Freddie Mercury is to England
1995/96 best shape v8 super cars in my opinion ford and Holden

He's as straight talking as most Aussies. Always liked him
@@haroldwinstonsmith8370 Mezera just likes complaining about anything. He just got his nose out of joint because he was put down to number 2 driver.
Call me crazy, It wouldn’t be the first time.. But whenever I watch videos on Peter Brock, I can’t help but think of my racing hero, Jeff Gordon.
They should do a review on the 350 Chev he ran in the Torana in 79.
That crash in 1994 was due to a component failure in the back of the car, not Brocks fault
🤣 get off the crack
He was off the racing line, mm's from the fence. Check the footage.

Please can somebody tell me the difference between the VR and VS Commodore. There has to be some difference... Right?
The VS replaced the VR, the process goes from there, after the VS was the VT etc.
Thanks for upload. There where some Clips in this style about all other drivers Johnson, skaife, seton, lowndes. Etc... can anyone help finding them?
There was a 4 part documentary like this about all of lowndes' bathurst races but has since been deleted off youtube.
Thats a shame! Bit there was a Version with 6 or 7 drivers all in One like an hour or so
Yup there were several of those made for skaife, lowndes, brock, richards, moffat and maybe others
What a shame it got deleted. Love it
It’s extremely poor form to bag out a bloke who is no longer here to defend himself. Very disappointed in both Skaife & Mezera
Brockumentary👍
His wife was always there for him 😢
That's Bathurst Tommas, swings and roundabout. Crist he was lucky in a few wins to
Tomas Mezera - no bullshit
I agree. Speaking of which, he clearly saw though Brock's b.s.
Same with Craig Baird, calling it as he sees it.
I have a hat signed by him
You and me both... kept in a safe haha

Wife was always nervous after DNF’s
So true........so so true.....
Hugh Jackman should play Peter!
Definitely
His ego killed him

The car will oversteer as too much rear brake bias will result in a rear lock up.

NippyMoto they run around 55% front bias, and rear locking definitely happens, regularly.
NippyMoto you’re wrong
Brock beat the shit out of his wife rather viciously which is why i lost so much respect for him. #MeToo
Don't think he 'viciously' beat anyone up. I smell a salty ford fan......

Would you like to back that claim up with some facts, or do you believe everything that you read on Google.
