Good because we're miles and miles away from being a championship team. How about adding some people that can catch a fly ball with the season on the line?
@strkeout I'm not perfect at what I do, but I don't literally drop the ball when everything is on the line. I'm also not getting paid $40MM a year. This is the Bronx. I'll take an El Duque over a Pedro 100 times out of 100. I do not care what you do from April through September assuming you play like an idiot in October. That's why Stanton plays like a Yankee and Judge is just a nice guy who is on pace to be considering a postseason loser for the rest of time.
I love his attitude and his demeanor ... He seems like he fits with the Yankees brand. He's well spoken and articulate and seems focused and seems like he wants to a part of the lore of the Yanks and he sounds like he wants to make his name as a Yankee ... I think I'm going to like this dude
The "Yankees Lore"? That's like moving to Rome, Italy and thinking of yourself as a Gladiator. Brian Cashman has spent 20 years hurting the "Yankees lore." Not a kid alive in the world today has ever seen them win once.
Really excited for him. Hes a work horse and competitor..he is a great fit in new york.. cant wait to see this rotation at work... now lets get 2 more bats..
Happy for the Yankees with this signing, but I still haven't recovered from losing Soto, I thought he was a perfect fit for The Bronx, and he was so, so entertaining to watch.
@@Frankieefootballmundiallol the Red Sox just guaranteed themselves at least 5 extra losses signing that loser. And the Mets saved the Yankees $760,000,000 by over bidding on Soto
Hater? What is it that you hate? I mean, if you're a teenager, then ok, but assuming you're an adult, I don't know why someone would have hate for a team.
Losing Soto was a tough pill to swallow, but immediately getting Fried was a great start. Devin Williams and Bellinger are good picks too. So far so good

mister personality max fried. jk hope this guy has a great career. don’t know his pitching that well but numbers don’t lie. very very excited about this rotation. thanks to the steinbrenner family cash and boone for making this investment in the club. can’t wait til opening day!!
Looks good in pins and clean shaven. "its a honor to be here" "Being a baseball fan you know what it means and you "just know" the stander". That why as yankee fans we are okay with Soto going to, what team did he go to?
'Off topic' is right! How do you come up with that now, lol! But I had no problem with that; I believe in running out the same guys in the World Series that got you there in the first place. The Dodgers outplayed the Yankees, and that was without a healthy Ohtani! Even if they didn't have that error-laden 5th inning, they still wouldn't have been able to pull it off.
He didn't wait 'til spring training to get rid of the facial hair, he wants to show he's a yankee now! But then again, if they gave me a $218 mil contract, I'd do whatever they ask, lol.
dumb question.... why does everyone keep emphasizing "longest contract given to a left-handed pitcher"? like, why does that matter? do LHPs have a shorter career span or something?
The YES Network needs to fire whoever does the thumbnails everyone looks pissed 😂 they just landed an elite pitcher they should be smiling like my Dodgers when they landed Shohei and Yama
I will like this because it's from YES and not some grifter downloading broadcasts and adding a car video game or someone hand cutting veggies in the back of some eatery to the end of the clip.
He comes off very articulate, classy, elegant, well spoken, and seems ready to report to Pitchers and Catchers even now! He seemed very moved and almost emotional, when he mentioned the 3 words he saw on the wall in the clubhouse- 'prepare, compete, win' -that says a lot about the man. looking forward to next season.
Gil is an ace. Yankees were smart not to trade him. Tucker is good but replaceable. Cody Bellinger and Tucker are similar. Finding a pitcher like Gil is near impossible.
@@jbjab99you’re way off , Tucker is the closest thing to Soto in mlb there is. Gil won rookie of the year yes but he is replaceable . Bellinger isn’t almost as good as Tucker not even close . Go check the stats they don’t lie
Man he sure doesn’t sound very excited.. Talk about a bore to listen to. Sure hope that doesn’t translate to his performance on the field. Corbin Burnes to mewas the better choice. He is a bulldog with less injury history
You haters love to exaggerate.. he's always been a quiet humble guy.. go watch past interviews... his attitude, competitiveness and work ethic is perfect for new york
Max Fried was a good pitcher with the Braves, he has lost some stuff in the last couple of years. 8 years not good but he can help, keep in mind Braves don’t really let go great pitchers. I’m not too optimistic. Soto cannot be replaced, but I feel the defense has gotten better with the recent acquisitions. Go Yanks
So far the best offseason Cashman has had since 2009.
We need Profar in left field or center field
He has been busy

@ you’re really ripping the league MVP who’s made one error in the OF over the last 3 seasons? You must really be perfect at whatever it is you do.

great addition a perfect number 2 behind Cole i like this move
well spoken…. this man is him
Woo hoo as a fan I’m very happy
Max is a handsome dude
Greatest Jewish pitcher since Sandy Koufax his dad’s idol. Happy Hanukkah to the Fried family, merry Christmas and happy holidays to alll Yankee fans.
Wow, I didn't think of that, I wonder if the Yankees have ever had a jewish pitcher of his stature.
Cause there's been so many great Jewish pitchers to compare to lol.
@@BroadswordNYCno they haven't. Not a lot of well known Jewish pitchers in history.
you never heard of Max Scherzer apparently

Welcome to the Yankees family Max Fried.🎉😊
The way he speaks reminds me of Mike Mussina
He’s a thinking man pitcher like Mussina.

BATS!!! We need more hitters. Walker, Bellinger and Santander can all help us. Throw in Carlos Santana too.
The best move❤
Reminiscent of Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling with Cole and Fried
