I was there. On my birthday when I was 8 I was there when he got 602 saves. I was also there for Mariano Rivera Day the day before I turned 10. Really great to experience all that.

The Yankees we're losing and it literally didn't matter, that night, the world was there to see greatness take the mound for one last time. So glad I got to see Rivera time and time again. Some of my best baseball memories include Mariano running in from the bullpen to Enter Sandman. Doesn't sound very exciting but it was the highlight of the game.
He had 3 simple and very similar pitches. 4 seam, 2 seam, and cutter. They weren't blazing fast but did get up into the high to mid 90s. All hitters knew that all he had were fastballs. He still overpowered them. Only Lord knows how he did it. Greatest closer of all time. I'll miss ya Mo! You're the closer all closers look up to. TheUpTownFan I did have the privilege of going to the old stadium and watched the Rocket pitch. It's always sad when they tear down such historic places like that. I watched the same happen in my own city with Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, aka The Aud. I have yet to go the new stadium but looks nice on tv.

I was at this game, from the fist inning all you heard was MARI-ANO *clap clap clapclapclap* it was unreal. The Yankees we're losing and it literally didn't matter, that night, the world was there to see greatness take the mound for one last time. It was one of the most memorable and best moments I've ever been apart of. #GodBless42

I was at this game I was 12 years old It made me cry then and it still makes me cry now watching this.

So glad I got to see Rivera time and time again. Some of my best baseball memories include Mariano running in from the bullpen to Enter Sandman. Doesn't sound very exciting but it was the highlight of the game.

He had 3 simple and very similar pitches. 4 seam, 2 seam, and cutter. They weren't blazing fast but did get up into the high to mid 90s. All hitters knew that all he had were fastballs. He still overpowered them. Only Lord knows how he did it. Greatest closer of all time. I'll miss ya Mo! You're the closer all closers look up to. Should have never built that new stadium
TheUpTownFan I did have the privilege of going to the old stadium and watched the Rocket pitch. It's always sad when they tear down such historic places like that. I watched the same happen in my own city with Buffalo Memorial Auditorium, aka The Aud. I have yet to go the new stadium but looks nice on tv.
