This video is nothing but inspirational. I’m a complete Inkscape novice and still trying to get my head around all the features, will definitely watch this again, maybe on a slightly slower speed and try to follow along. Superb content, thank you!
@@SweaterCatDesigns I disagree, this is one of the worst videos I ever tried to follow. Way too fast and no explanation as to what 'this button' is . Which is imnoportant as its not present on the version I have ! Seriously, slow it down and explain stuff.
Thanks for the video. This is the first video of yours I have come across. I found your channel through the TH-cam algorithm's suggestion. I am new to InkScape and still watching a lot of tutorials. I like your format and the content of this video. I would like to make a few suggestions: One, at the beginning of the video, it is helpful to state what version of the software you are giving the tutorial on. Two, when demonstrating the steps of the workflow, I see it as very important that the presenters of tutorials give a short pause on menu choices. Example: In one step of the process, you say, "Click [Text], and then click [Put on Path]." I would ask that just before you click the final choice in that menu, and then the menu "disappears", just give a slight pause. Pause just long enough so that when someone making notes, or when someone didn't quite hear what you said, they will be able to clearly see what you are clicking on, and where that is. Again, thanks for the video. Thumbs up and a Subscribe.
I'm very sorry it took this long for me to reply! TH-cam held your comment for review for whatever reason, and I had no idea because they never notified me. I just happened to come across it today. Anyway, you made some very good suggestions, and I will definitely try to pause a bit more at certain points. (Still getting the hang of all of this.) Thanks a lot!
@@techyjunction3377 Will do! I was creating another Inkscape course, but it's finished now, so I'll be getting back to uploading content on TH-cam soon.
Thank you but the version you are using is very different, presumably older (?) than the version I have. Can’t locate some of the icons you select so can’t follow the tutorial through to the end. Sorry
It sounds like it might be treating your circle as a stroke, instead of a path. Try doing Path -> Stroke to Path on the circle before doing Difference.

Lovely tutorial. I've never used Jitter Nodes before, so will keep that in my kit bag from now on. Thank you!
