Extremely burly hike Mike, you guys are all so impressive and brave. I really have a hard time understanding how people free solo those difficult sections, I've watched the video multiple times and it still terrifies me. Good on you for hiking, filming and posting this great accomplishment.
It's definitely not for everyone. Fear of heights can be overcome usually. Just need to take your time gradually doing more difficult hikes with scrambles. The rock climbing comes naturally to me, I've never gone to a climbing or bouldering gym. Visiting one is another step up in experience for doing something like Robie Reid. Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy the content. 😊🙏🤙
Yes, a hike up a route that turns into mountaineering. Definitely not "just" a hike. A lot of people turn around not realizing what they've got themselves into at the first class 4 crux. It can easily take 18 hours to complete, and many choose to spend the night on the ridge. Almost everyone will either start or finish in the dark.
Really good feeling man, really good. You know why you feel that way, it’s because you are fully present and out of your head, if we could do that at every moment of our life guess how exciting everything becomes, that is why hiking saved me. Can’t wait to get back out there, gotta change my stupid schedule hahaha.
I don't even know how to respond to this without getting too personal. I completely understand what you're saying though. I'm glad you enjoy the video my man.
I applaud you for this beautiful video. It took a lot of work to capture (and it captured a lot of work!) and edit and produce this video. It's all appreciated, and we are happy to see new stuff. The part that really got me was the view on the top - looking out over the lake. I was somewhere just beyond the end of that lake, really lazy, and putting out maybe 1% energy that you did on this amazing day. Thanks!
Wow Mike that was a crazy hike! It felt like I was up on the mountain with you. Really cool. I miss the aerial drone shots but I get it buddy it’s brutal to do it all. I gotta get up Mount Robie Reid.
Yeah, I was shooting for a successful summit and filming in first person perspective with the gopro chest harness. Overall I think its good. I still have the video from my first trip up there a few years ago with lots of aerial footage.
great job guys.
This is so awesome, congratulations Mike
You're awesome too man, thanks and glad you enjoyed 🙏
Great video. Really enjoy it.
Thank you!

Were you able to skip the strap part with that new section you found on the way down?
