I love the progression of the sad, shaken, and anxiety of intro, into the tonal shift of remembering… You rose to the top. You cannot be stopped. You, even alone, stand unshaken.
Low honor, incredible badass vibes. I remember the first time I went back for the money, I think I was still on high honor bc it kills me to see Arthur go to his end without remorse. Such an awesome last stand either way.
I just went back so i could cut Micah's eye out so he'd look like a hypocrite (He says john is scar face. Well he's dumb fool that nearly died to a dying man in a knife battle which was way too unfair ) And the track is awesome.
I didn't want to play low honour Arthur as I knew his demise would be grizzly, but my first time doing it, and going back for the money to boot, made me decide to do it again. All because of this fantastic piece of music.
@@madamebkrt I also prefer the high honor endings because Arthur gets to have a more peaceful death. But personally, I think all the endings regardless of honor to some degree are at least worthy of the redemption title because no matter which you go, Arthur stood unshaken in trying to help John.
@@themadtitan7603 I think low honor help john fits michas character as wanting to finish Arthur makes sense, and for all he knew in the high honor ending could have shot him Calloway-style. And it makes sense for Arthur, a killer and robber to try to redeem himself but failing.
@Richard Kitts I agree. I honestly think High Honor Arthur's endings are too idealized to be realistic with Micah's character or the game's theme of people who lead bad lives not getting good things. I wish they made the endings more varied. Instead of centering them all on Arthur's death in a different way, have ones like: Arthur barely survives and retrieves the money. Lives but fails and get the money back to John. Or Arthur dies and fails to get the money. Or Arthur gets the money and dies shortly after.
One of my favorite themes and endings. High honor go back for the money is the best ending you could have, and it’s not about revenge, it’s about sending a message to Dutch and John.
That's pretty much how I view the money endings. They're not the *"bad endings"* to me but a different way to redeem Arthur and get back at Dutch and Micah. With high honor, it's about getting John the money and sending a message. With Low Honor, it's mainly revenge but also getting John the money.
@@Pepe-jq6fj Low Honor - Go for the Money easily has the best acting and dialogue of all the endings imo. The other ones are lacking that raw emotion behind Arthur and Dutch's last conversation. I mean it's practically the only time you hear Arthur crying or at least close to doing so.
@@notacockgobbler2054 Yeah, Arthur and Dutch's last conversation here feels more effective and direct, with Dutch even realizing the truth of he's saying. I think the money ending feels the most truthful for Low Honor Arthur, as he makes it clear that he values John having money above safety. While High Honor Arthur is the opposite, so it makes more sense he'd ensure John made it to his family safe.
When I saw this in my subscription feed I had to do a double take cause I couldn't believe you were back. Love so many of your songs man, keep doing what you're doing 🤙
Jack Marston, a retired gunslinger must come out of retirement after the shock and anger of the pearl Harbour attacks in order to fight the axis powers. He grew up hating the government but as he saw, this was more of a fight for freedom and the american people. Grabbing his rifle once more, he enlists.
0:36 I can hear the intense soundtrack when Micah is about to kill Arthur if you return for the money with low honor. No one ever uploads that soundtrack without the dialogue and background noises. This is where we hear that soundtrack. th-cam.com/video/3FRKBTDBAy4/w-d-xo.html
this *game* is a masterpiece of an art on many levels.. the story, characters, the music, details and everything.. I've been playing video games since early 90's and rdr2 is my no.1 in so many aspects
As far as video game soundtracks go, rdr2s was pretty okay. Not because of any typical reason, but because as soon as you leave a cutscene, it has to be repeatable and simple to play in the background which is fair. I’m not criticizing them, it is just what they have to do but your soundtracks unlock the hidden potential if the momentum was just kept up
@Hoodcast RDR2 still has plenty of ambient music and some of it is pretty good. But like you said, you could tell their focus was the cinematic missions score as opposed to making a dynamic, versatile ambient stem system like RDR1 had.
Holy crap, i just discovered your channel last night and the timing of this upload couldn't have been better. lol I have yet to listen the rest of your remixes of this game, but so far, this is one of my favorites. Your stuff is terrific, keep them coming!
Thank you! :D We wanted to be original with the titles because some of the original ones given just didn't sound right. Some tracks are actual hints of the series "The Divine Nine".
I got a little story to tell after hearing this theme. For me, the beginning of this theme symbolizes Dutch, Micah and John coming back from a heist they just pulled. Arthur was with them but Dutch says that he watched Arthur fall off the train. Micah just laughs and gets off his horse. John comforts Abigail and Jack. But as soon as the I rise to the top part comes on, they hear a loud angry voice, DUTCH! MICAH! Arthur comes around a corner and is covered in blood and has a knife in his hands. He charges straight for Micah and that's how the knife fight begins. John is yelling at Dutch and engaged in a fist fight with him. Arthur and John are side by side once more, only this time, Arthur is healthy and at full strength! He and John kill Micah and Dutch. Take the money for themselves and live on John's ranch!
Low honor means more than just evil, it’s revenge, someone who needs revenge, he gave it all and lost it all, so he turns to revenge not looking back on his friends, except he sees John and gets him the money, as one last good thing he does before he dies and redeems himself even if you do low honor you still redeem yourself but at the same time chase revenge, with the coyote looking down on you with sorrow but understanding.
