Original: Soviet Connection by Michael Hunter
I mixed in the intro new till 1:30 with the menu-stream and some death-loops music (all these musicpieces can be found with "OpenIV" in the Archives in the folders "GPS" and "loading").
After around 1:30 it's the credits music.
I didn't create the picture or the music. I just mixed the Intromusic new and edited the picture very sightly!
if you want to use this mix it's fine for me, but pls note the creator at least.
I'm glad the copyright holder is so much more nicer than others these days.

Cyberplay definitely I think I San Andreas was ahead of its time and is overall the best but GTA 4 is the one I played the most I think it has the best story and I loved how dark it was and different from the other it was more story driven

This game was absolutely revolutionary. I remember being in complete shock looking at the graphics as a kid, thinking graphics couldn't get any better. The story was incredibly emotional.
It was literally a GAME CHANGER. Remember that GPUs in this time were 256 MBs... The game quality jump from GTA San andreas was just ridiculous. Mindblowing.

Theres nothing cool about war, theres nothing cool about crime. No matter how hard you try, good things just wont happen. The games story just highlights that fact through the portagonist Niko.
Liberty City is the best map in any video game, not because of its physical structure, but by the fact that its the real antagonist in the game. LC doesn't just kick Niko down the second he gets there, it makes sure Niko stays on the ground. The whole game isn't trying to make the American Dream, it's to survive in a hostile, alien place, full of danger, death, and misery.

The reason GTA 4 theme sounds so dark and depressing compared to those of the other GTA games is that there is no happy ending to Niko's story... *Spoilers*: If he chooses to be a criminal forever, his love interest dumps him and his cousin gets killed from one of his associates who betrays him (Dimitri). If he kills Dimitri, to cut his connections with the underworld and live like a normal person, Kate will finally accept to be his girlfriend, but she will end up getting killed just few minutes later by the mob boss Jimmy Pegorino, as a payback against Niko.
Niko will eventually get his revenge on the killer of his cousin/girlfriend but he will still lose one of the persons he cared the most in the game. Either way it is a tragic end to a tragic character considering all the dramatic events Niko went through before the game (the war) and during the game itself. And that's why GTA 4 is by far the most serious and realistic game in the series, not to mention the best one for the story.

GC for you my guy, life really isn’t that edgy. It’s just Nico’s life was tragic from the start. He just had some type of redeeming factor that made him more human than everyone around him. He’s not dead, so anything compared to what he was doing is going to be better.

It’s crazy to think this video is older than some teenagers 😂. How time flies man. I was around in the 5th or 6th grade when this game came out. Lots of great memories and great technology advancements in the mid 2000’s. Personally, the best time to be a kid.

This game was even made around the financial crisis of the late 2000's, which made it even more surreal.

I loved how this game shows you that nobody cares about your intentions but your actions and consquences. Even if Niko was trying to help his cousin, doing the dirty work for others and playing with the mafia has a big cost.

I think Gta V does a brilliant job of highlighting the pseudoculture and facades that exist in the real world and especially in the real LA. It highlights real phenomena and stories and presents them in an exaggerated way.

I love GTA IV especiallu Niko, almost every GTA Characters becomes a Criminal because they wanted to, and they enjoyed it, but Niko is different, he's the only character in the series so far that had no choice but to turn into the life of a criminal, he didn't want any of this, but he was forced to, he cleary is trying to leave the life of a criminal and try to live a happy normal life, but he just can't, his past would always haunt him and try to drag him down, and this Music really pictures it, especially the name of the song itself being "Soviet Connection"
