Maggie used to get terrible sore throats and often did speeches whet it was obviously hard to speak. It seems so many use that as a tool to replicate how she sounded when it wasn’t the case. She was lovely. And had a fantastic sense of humour too. A brilliant, brave and strong lady.

Thatcher was masculine and assertive, but I guess that was the public image we saw. Other than that it's a good representation. Remember, they are doing evocations of the people, you really don't want to see the real thing. Then you wouldn't enjoy the story or drama, which is also an evocation of the real events.

That little woman always reminded me of a Brit. I remember her at 5:30AM standing by her Kettle waiting for the whistle.
She spent many years in England as my Grandfather was a Flight Instructor for the US Air Force for the RAF.
That woman gave me a back bone. It I made a 96, it was why didn’t you make a 97?
If I won Silver, she said, now you know how much effort you’ll need for Gold.
    A “Reason” was an “Excuse.”
Affection was for puppies and kittens😂❤
But I miss her DEARLY!!! I can see the ways she said “I Love You Kyle” so clearly now, all without “Saying it.”
She cooked me a hot breakfast in a skillet every morning. (😂My dog too, always cooled my dog an egg, every morning I spent with her).
She could get a dime out of each penny, I thought she was destitute until the Will reading.

I loved Gillian’s portrayal. She stole every scene. Anderson’s voice is a bit more raspy in comparison but I thought she did a great job with making Thatcher a likable person, which it seems that during that time, Thatcher was not well-liked by almost everyone. But I grew to really admire Thatcher. All those old men she had to put up with, the way she felt it was important for her to take care of husband and sleep in the same bed and cooked dinner during parliament meetings. She was a bull and played no games. Incredible work ethic, she was definitely passionate. And just seeing a female in that position of superiority is awesome.

I never liked her in life, but if she was a Christian (as I have heard), she is in the presence of the Lord now. That is true blessing. Your prayer will have been answered already.

Be that as it may, even psychopaths may be saved by the grace of God. His kindness exceeds our natural expectations.
(Mark 3:28-29) 'Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.....'
      Also:
(Ephesians 2:8-9) 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one may boast.'
In other ways, none of us deserves to go to heaven based on our deeds.
Thatcher wasn't a nice person in public. I have no idea what she was like in private. But even 'nice' people often hide a lot of nastiness. Scratch the surface and it comes out.

Thatcher was once asked in 2001 what she thought her greatest achievement was. Her answer? Two words; New Labour.
Thatcher forced to the left to go right and abandon the extremes of socialism to become electable, the trouncing of Corbyn in the last election is a further reminder of her incredible political legacy.
Her divisiveness is undeniable but neither was her political genius, the fact that she did it as a woman makes her even more remarkable.

It was a clever answer, yet it was no more appropriate for her to take credit for that than for Reagan to take credit for the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. Historical change is not produced exclusively by the 'great' among us.

It I had a pound for every time I heard that line I would be rich . Churchill was a wartime leader.Afterbthe war he wanted the status quo. Those returning from the ear and at home were having none of it and rightly so.
He was booed at the hustings and defeated at the election .
The new government introduced the welfare state the NHS and state pension and the biggest house building exercise this country has ever seen clearing slums and bomb countrywide .None of this would have happened with Churchill who was an aristocrat.
Churchill buggered off to Monaco in his white suit and mixed with the jet set of the world.
