Thank you so much, it takes a lot of time, effort and money to get the car where I want it to be, but I’m enjoying the process. I have no issues with my xenons, but if you start seeing the lights flickering or jittering then just check if the ballast is connected properly and if it is then test whether the ballast is working properly. It should have a continuous output of 12v but when it drops below that you will see it flicker or acting weird.
Fog lights are available at Max motorsport and the switch is available from my friend in the description box. He will be able to hook you up with a switch 👌
Hey guys, I'd like to ask something. I have installed after market fog lights, the polo 6r ones. Problem is, okay, it's not really a problem, but they get turned on whenever I turn on my park lights. Is there a way of wiring it and then get the switch that you have to be able to turn the fogs off while the park lights are on? I'd really appreciate your help, thank you.

To my knowledge yes it does come as a universal kit, the biggest problem you might face is having to find the appropriate headlight switch if your car doesn’t allow for a straight swop like with my car where I could retrofit the next gen polo headlight switch and fits most vw models. But you can always use that headlight switch and update your car’s interior and make it look modern.
@@360-Speed as you know I have a old school mk1 golf. I already have a new spec dash fitted to my car. As far as i know the Headlight switch plug is he same as the polos.
It is possible yes. Just make sure that you get the harness that works with all the functions of the steering wheel and then you can wire it accordingly
You have to cut the bumper slightly, but it won’t look bad. My advice would be to measure twice or even 3 times to be sure where the fog lights will land within the bumper and then you can trim that section
Yes, you can get some foam or insulation strips and cut it to size so you can stick it between the clips and also where the panel seats in the dash. Just be careful with removing the different panels on the centre console as they can break or be annoying to remove. Hope this will help you

The cheapest and easiest fix I can give you now is to simply take the park lights out and then the fogs will be the only lights on before you have to turn on the headlights, or the next option will be to put the parklights on a separate switch so you can toggle them on and off when you fancy. I took my parks out after I the DRL install we did and it looks so much better and adds to the foglights which makes the car look more modern

Did you change the bumper to fit in those fog lights? Bcos that bumper has no hole for round fog lights

You get wiring harnesses from Midas and autozone to connect fog lights. We used one of those to wire my fog lights as well

@@ivandejager7218 I remember. Yes they are very similar and I've seen other mk1 Golf's with this specific switch so this upgrade is definitely doable

Hi there. Do you perhaps know what is required to be able to switch on the fog lights without having to switch on the headlights?
A simple relay connected to a seperate switch can do the trick if you don't have a headlight switch with a dedicated foglight switch
