With the speaker mounted directly on the door, the window will not open fully. You need rings adaptor otherwise the magnet of speakers will be in the way of glass.

The Polo Vivo seems to be fairly unique to South Africa, in the rest of the world as far as I Know and certainly in Europe the model was the 9N3 and ended in 2009, but the Vivo is a 9N3 with a different front bumper. This is not a bad thing, I own a 2009 9N3 in Ireland and I recently rented a new polo for a couple of days and I was happy to get back into my 2009 as the new one feels very cheap even though it has more gadgets. The door locks do seem to affect every polo and it seems most VW cars from that era. I upgraded a few things on mine and I like it, I’ve had much faster cars, newer cars and more luxurious cars but this is simple and good.
