Had a tune on my first car - Corsa Lite 1.4i. didn't gain a lot on power but drivability was a lot better as in responsiveness. As one of the comments say, its not what others think about your car, you're the one driving it and it should put a smile on YOUR face. If other like it then it's a plus. PS love the Polo 6C Highline mags on the polo. keep it up bud!

For those that don't know.
Any car that has an NA induction, you can invest the cost of a house and at its best only get 10-15% difference in terms of power. Sound you will be rewarded though.
Tuning is for vehicles with turbos or superchargers, basically some form of force induction.🏁🏁🏁 TSI CAN GAIN BETTER.
Does that include the polo 1.9 TDI?
@@mhlengindlovu8450 Yes, TDI you can tune and mostly gain torque. Go for a low smoke tune.
Just a quick question. Are you running software from Autowerks and did they remove the rev limiter and set it to 6k or does your car still just go past 5k rpm and then feels like isn't accelerating anymore?
And what supporting mods have you done on the polo. From intake to exhaust and everything else.
Lastly what did the overall package cost you more or less
I am looking into doing the software upgrade, maybe stage 2 on my vivo 1.4, but I also want to get the branch from Autowerks and a full free-flow exhaust system. I have done my own intake upgrade (video on my channel) and maybe if all of it gives me a decent outcome, I'll look into flowing the cylinder head and upgrading the valves
Hi there thanks for your comment. Im running software from TDC performance. The car revs past 5k rpm now and does not feel like it falls on its face anymore. However the motor itself stops making any power after 5.5k so thats when it feels like it doesn't accelerate anymore.
I only have a branch and a powerflow exhaust. I still need to add a intake, so I'll check your video out.
Exhaust was 2600, branch was 3500 and software was 2500

hey brother, I keep coming back to this vid, perhaps do another recap vid on this? How has it been all that... some lekker drive by's, some pulls, pure sound. There arent many vids out there on this. would be nice to see.
I had a 1.4 trendline .did a full exhuast and intake.The gains was impressive but the car was still just too weak so i sold mine and bought a focus st 2.5 5 cylinder which you cant even compare to the polo.But boy did i like my polo.

@@joeyoung7600 When you upgrade the exhuast manifold and the rear silencer a 1.4 polo vivo the car will feel as strong as a 1.6 polo vivo and any cold air intake upgrade does nothing to its performance only sound!!

Yes dude, go for the exhaust and branch and then try to do an intake and tune, it’ll change how the car performs and will increase the efficiency (the increase in efficiency is what I’ve experienced but it might be different for you depending on how heavy your foot is)

I’m not sure where you could get the software done now because the place I went to closed down. Try Mosports? I think that’s what they’re called. I know they do mostly BMW’s but maybe they’ll be able to assist

Hey brother . Beautiful looking car despite such minimal aesthetic mods . Just rims and a drop and it's looking so good . Love the sound of it. Also hate pops and bangs but love the burble u get when letting go of the accelerator . Tell me , whats the actual feel of the car after the tune . Did you notice any difference on the road
Yo buddy, thanks for this comment. I appreciate it 🙌🏽🙌🏽 so the car used to feel alot quicker than what it was, but I think I just got used to the extra bit of power and now it just feels normal again 😂 but you can really feel a difference on the road when you are trying to speed up to overtake someone or take a gap or whatever. The power is always there and it doesn't take an hour to get up to speed anymore. Where you see the real difference is in the fuel consumption, the car has really impressed me with how light it is on fuel. I think the most I got out of a tank was 930km which is a lot considering I used to get about 700km from a tank when the car was completely stock. So if you're wondering if it's worth it then I'd say yes, but not for the extra power, but for better fuel economy 👍🏽

Hey Nico, you car is looking sweet bro. I have a polo vivo 2011 and I installed the same spots shape you have but I had to cut out holes in my covers to fit them but it doesn't look lekker. The bumper you have is it stock and where would I find those covers?
Hey man, I hope you are well. We had to cut holes in my bumper as well. Its a stock bumper and we had to cut holes in the covers as well. What I can suggest is that you check Facebook market place for a new set of lights with covers and then install that. Hopefully that helps?

Leka nuh just makes a normal car a little more fun. Thats not a crazy gain but thats NA tuning for you its still decent power for the engine and lightweight body gonna be a whole new car for you now.

Hi there Marvin, so you need to get your car decatted, so for this you can either let them decat it or fit a branch (it removes the cat on certain cars, like mine). Then you need to get the software done for it

You should contact people who do software in your area and they would be able to advise better. I think you should be good to go for pops and bangs now

Yo man, I have the face-lift polo vivo headlights in and I got them from Rosbys spares in Strand. They had Led bulbs in but I put the factory bulbs back in

Yo man, I bought it from a friend. It's from a polo GT, polo gts and polo 9n gti
It would've been a bit more epic if you got closer to 75-80kw on that baby. It certainly sounds amazing... I'm a bit confused as to why you getting so much dumping since you say you don't like the pops and bangs (I also don't like it and I deactivated it after the first week) side note :my fuel economy went from 6.2 to 10L per 100kms and that's kinda stupid considering we don't want to literally drive out our money. If you really very serious you should consider selling and getting you a Tsi and do the exact same thing that you did with the Vivo on the tsi...trust me. That turbo gives you 20 to 25kws immediately so you will be pushing 90kw even with a cat in it. Loved your vid.

The dumping sounds and all that is only there when I want it to be vs pops and bangs that are always there on deceleration (or whenever they're supposed to be there) they're also literally pops which would annoy the hell out of me. The "burble" as the guy from TDC calls it sounds good and isn't there if I drive normally. So im pretty happy with how it sounds
I have not driven the car normally since it was tuned to see what the economy looks like (as you can imagine I've been beating on it this whole week, so the figures would not be an accurate reflection)
I would love to get a TSI but I doubt I'll be getting another polo unless its a GTI - but thats a story for another day

Fit a nitro kit you can turn into. When you want to and the car goes back to standard when you don't want it

Howsit bro, this is my first tune ever. I've been driving the car with the branch on for almost a year. As far as I know, you dont need a tune just for a decat. Just put the o2 sensor where it needs to go and you should be fine
@@nicowalters ok awesome I got a golf 1 4 tsi I did a downpipe and put in a cat fooler for the o2 sensor but It feels like it's running a bit lean
You can get it tuned. It should give you nice gains

I didnt see any change in petrol consumption when I put the exhaust on and the car is lighter on fuel on the long road with the branch added.
The tune is supposed to make the car more efficient, so I'll see if thats true, but ill only be able to give you an honest answer over a longer period of time 👍🏽
Also remember that if you drive the car hard its going to use more fuel than normal
Hey man, any update on fuel consumption? For normal city driving and also long open road? Have 1.6 tiptronic and been wondering about exhaust/branch/tuning. Not worried about noise or tons of power. Fuel economy and responsive feel is important to me.
@stefanmarais83 hi buddy, the best I’ve gotten so far is 950 out of a tank with mixed driving. I’m sure I can get it closer to 980kms, I just need to be on the open road long enough

Howsit bro, the car is still going strong. Absolutely 0 issues. I’ve done about 70k km’s after the tune and it hasn’t missed a beat. I’m very happy with it 👌

Stock 1.4 is 63kw. The facelift late models is 55kw
Howsit, mine is the old vivo before the face-lift, I just did the face-lift headlights, grill and mirrors. Mine came with 55kw
