@jamedlock83 watch closely a few seconds after the dam rolls over, it can be seen better in the slow motion replay. Look at the bottom middle of the video for the yellow and blue rake handle.
Knowing what you do is both good for the environment and the local land owners it's been a pleasure to follow you for the last three years and watch you grow both in spirit and dedication ,Mantas you played this one to close ,you'll find your Grandpa's rake the water level needs to drop a lot more yet
Grand Dad's rake will soon be located in the shallow, still waters. You certainly displayed your agility on this collapse. Glad you're safe and dry. Congratulations on a job well done and an excellent video!
Sorry you lost your rake,...but you got out safely, and That is more important than the rake! I know you will get another rake or find this one...but your cameras are safe, too! Great job!!! Great Collapse!!
I understand your comments about the work being calming. I used to love to be in my woods when I was younger clearing out my little streams. I could spend all day in there.
What a close call! The dam was taller than I am, impressive size. Excellent filming, the power of the water breaking through with great force amazing to see. When I saw the sharp slope of the banks on both sides I knew why this would be a tough removal. The beavers chose their spot well, but they didn't stop you! Thank you for sharing your work, I am sure you will hit the 100,000 mark soon.
You are fortunate that it was only the rake that was lost. The dam was half way collapsed before you began to climb out of the channel. To locate the lost rake, start at the culvert and walk up the channel toward the dam site. You'll find it that way. It won't get swept through the culvert.
Wow! That was close. Congratulation for your good work and your style in busting a beaver dam. You deserved to be called the Dambuster. Your way is very much different from the others who take the twigs from the top of the dam while you dig at the bottom. So it is really fascinating to see the rush of water when the dam collapsed. While the others who take the twigs at the top of the dam the water starts to flow and goes continuously until drained. There is no drama and excitement, unlike what you are doing where there is adrenaline rush when you know that the dam is going to collapse. Nice work and God bless. Take good care always, you might be carried away by the rush of water. I hope you find your rake.
You are so swift and agile escaping the very rapid water! I enjoy your videos, I learn how difficult dams can be and work is hard. But the joy of the dam break is very exciting! Thanks my fry. 😊👍🏻
Great example of why it is important to keep a clear path to get out of the way fast. Would be funny that the next time you go there the beavers will have use your rake and you find it in a new dam.
I’m very sorry for your loss. That potato rake did some sterling service under your strong leadership. It never failed you and was always ready for action, proudly dressed in the colours of Ukraine. We shall never forget. ❤
That had to be the closest one yet. Glad you got out of the way just in time, Mantas. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for the poor rake, may it rest in peace. 👼
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE & LIKE…….HE IS GETTING SO CLOSE! WE CAN DO IT FOR HIM, GREAT CHRISTMAS PRESENT !! SHOW HIM HOW MUCH WE ARE ENJOYING HIS VIDEOS !! SUBSCRIBE ! !
I was watching the video again in slow motion and starting around 13:30 you’ll see the rake flip up and over. I believe the best spot to find it would be under the dam debris on the right side what seem the be 2 or 3 meters past the dam. Also I believe the rake tines are pointing up so be very careful as your walking in the stream. If the tines are pointing up that means the rake could move down stream easily if it didn’t get caught under the pile of debris. Good luck on finding it! If it was me I would become obsessed with finding it! Ron
Your Grandfather will be very pleased of all the work his rake head has done after finding it in the barn. I'm sure he would be proud for how you used it. I hope you will eventually retrieve it in memory of him.👍🇬🇧
Whew, nearly got you !! If you walk down the stream with a metal pole, side to side, you'll hear when it hits your rake ! Clank ! When you said it was one degree, i shivered ! Ten degrees here, sunny morning, but clouded over later. 😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have been fighting beavers since I was a boy 50 plus years. I learned not all beaver dams are bad and some can improve the land. I hope you are evaluating each dam before you take it down. I learned yearly to pick up my long handled tools when I was done, or those beavers would take them and make them part of their new dam!
That has got to be the best one yet, how it all went in one go. Good job you are fast as it nearly got you, pity about your rake, with any luck you may find it, but better the rake then you take care next time. Keep them coming and keep up the great work.
That was close! Going to miss that rake, many videos ago I asked you to wrap brightly colored tape around it to make it safer for you & was very happy when you painted it.
Mantas awesome video. So sorry about the loss of your potatoe rake, just hope you find it in next few days. This dam was fast collapse with hardly any wanting, be careful. 💞💞💞💖💖❤❤❤.
That was one very well made dam! There was hardly a trickle of water coming through, even after you removed all the branches. Hope you break 100k before the new year!! All the best, ask Santa for a new rake!
Glad it was your rake and not you it’s a sad loss but that one went so close behind you getting out of its way I was scared for you. Huge amount of water and beautiful camera positions well done. Stay safe 👍
Great job, sorry about your rake! At least you avoided getting swept away. 😊 Congratulations on the growth of your channel! I hope you see more subscribers in the future. I enjoy your camera work and narration. I taught English as a foreign language for 10 years, I understand how difficult it is. I appreciate content like yours, free from political discussion. You've probably heard about the horrible result of our last election here. I can't watch the news, so content like yours is a welcome relief! I subscribed a couple years ago, and I wish I could support you more. Good luck growing your channel, I hope you find your rake too!
I’m glad you got out of the way it kind of moved little fast there. The rake might show up when the water level is down lower but it was a good bust watching all that water pushing down the wall 👍👏❤
Hi Keni. Just a little thought that you may like to remember. When you are digging out the dam foundation, make sure you know where your exit is and dig from the furthest point toward your exit. That way it will hopefully collapse in front of you not between you and your exit. Just something to think about. Best wishes from Sue, mum from Adelaide, South Australia. 😊👍
That has to be one of the biggest walls of mud you have tackled so far. A lot of water pressure on the dam looking at how quickly and how much of it got washed away. Shame about the rake but happy to see that you got out of the way in time. Good camerawork on this one Mantas.
So disappointed you lost your rake. That thing was a legend. I really hope you go back and check further downstream. You've had that blue and yellow rake forever!
DANG! That dam was a beast! It nearly got you, took out your rake and almost knocked over camera #2 when the sticks were pulling away from that corner! That was a tough one with a LOT of water behind it. I noticed the water was a pretty blue color, that was a surprise. I love to watch the bubbles from the rotting vegetation at the base of the dam appear as the bottom of the dam is giving way and starting to roll over. I'm sorry you lost your rake, hopefully we will see a post that you found it. If not, maybe the beavers will use it in another dam and you will get a surprise.
Sorry for your loss Mantas. A beloved tool is like a family member, losing one can bring sadness and hardship. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that you can recover it. Here in America, I cannot remember ever seeing such a rake. There are not a lot of beavers in California. You have a blessed life that lets you work outdoors. These next 5 months may not be pleasant. but it will strengthen your fortitude.
Sorry about the loss of your best friend Mr rake. Oh oh the tension is building up 😮yikes run for the hills. Whew that was a close one but, very nice🎉🎉🎉. Happy you made it out okay.🎉you might find it in a beaver Dam.💕🇨🇦🦫
Merchandise - www.kenislovas.com. Thank You!
Is that location close to you so you can go back easily to find the rake once the water drops completely?
Some old beaver will find your rake and take it home as a trophy. He will make up all sorts of stories to tell to the younger beavers.
😀
Oh no. Rip rake😢
It almost got you this time😁
As a trophy of war some old beaver will build the rake into a new dam
It'll be even more amazing if he finds it in another dam somewhere
Man, that rolled over fast. I saw the rake get washed away. Mantas, I'm glad you got out of the way and are OK 👍 👌 🙆♂️
I didn't see any rake
@jamedlock83 watch closely a few seconds after the dam rolls over, it can be seen better in the slow motion replay.

Wow, that was a close one! You very nearly got swept away. Please be careful ❤
RIP Rake you served Mantas well , You will be missed
RIP Mr Rake ... gone but not forgotten.
RIP rake#1. You were a real one.
Sad day for the rake. Good you are ok.
Were you able to find it? They are not cheap.
Oh no!!! I was just asking on another video the other day if you've ever lost a rake this way! RIP faithful rake!! Never to be forgotten!!
Thank you for your hard work. The beavers are determined to rebuild
All those branches you remove on the dams would make great kindling for someone's warm and cozy fireplace this winter!

I was cool with camera #3 but, also enjoyed the time lapse on camera #4.
Good job and be Blessed.
That was a hard to clear dam. And no bubbles. Glad you are safe.... Thank you.
R. I. P. Mr. Rake ❤. Great video, thanks . 🇺🇲🇺🇲🪖🪖👮👮🚓🚓

That was close, too close for comfort. Good job you are agile. One tough dam to remove so well done.
The water is a beautiful color today.

Sad about your famous rake but happy you are ok.❤️❤️❤️
Damn beavers stole your rake!
Thanks!
AWWWW love that rake . You'll find it when you come back to that area. What a awesome collapse AGAIN!!!
Great example of why it is important to keep a clear path to get out of the way fast. Would be funny that the next time you go there the beavers will have use your rake and you find it in a new dam.

Damn!! good job Kent this one was a BEAST!! 💪💪💪

That’s amazing how you dig under that dam and it just rolls over on itself. I’m just amazed job well done.
A rake is a small price to pay for not being washed away. Love the videos!

Incredible release. Stay safe
You’ve shown true bravery and kindness, cleaning the graves and helping the spirit find comfort.
Best rollover yet! That one takes the top spot in my book. Love the channel from Wa State!

Fantastic job and so much mud to clear that the beavers had pushed into place 😁. Cheers.
Wow, that was fast. No leaking like most of them, just a rollover, when it started it blew totally.
Great Job

I'm always dumbfounded at the strength of the beavers to build these huge structures
