Son let me tell you the story about the time. I used reverse psychology on post 10. I went to the opposite side and built a dam. And so, it worked, he. filled our pond up for us. Now I can sit back and have a cold one. Thank you post 10.
Maybe they just temporarily blocked it while they were remodeling the basement in their lodge. They probably want to get that done before the winter sets in. 😊
You are absolutely correct regarding the water pressure combined with 12-18" of soft mud and silt and small aerated pockets created by crayfish and other mudbugs. I used to bass fish local ponds and reservoirs wearing chest waders. Sloshing through the mud, I would release all those methane gasses. BTW, chest waders are perfectly safe so long as you wear a constricting belt around your chest to prevent yourself from filling up. But I completely understand if you're out there by yourself. You're probably better off with the knee waders. You might want to invest in an alternate pair for when you do flood your knee-highs, you can give them time to dry out and slip into a nice dry pair if you flood at the start of your campaign. As always ty for the cool kids. Be safe ✌️
When pulling on stuck branches, instead of using your arms, keep your arms straight holding the branch and walk away from it. That way you will use your whole body strength and especially your legs which are way more powerfull than your arms. It is a bit slower but as you can maintain the effort much longer without exhaution, you ultimately achieve more in the same amount of time.
It's such great advice just wanted to say thank you! the more you do it then you get into a rhythm like 2nd nature. also I'm guessing a plus is your body will have less aches and pains and fatigue as it's all working uniformly 👍
And also he just puts all sticks behind him so they just float back to the opening. Normally he doesnt do this. But in this video it seemed like he was in a cycle to pull all the sticks out he just put behind him..
@@TobiasDettinger yeah the beavers came back better/stronger and that got him winded as he said he had been out all day and this was his last culvert cleaning which normally is easy however the beavers were on a mission! 🦫😬
@@TobiasDettingermost of the stick he throws behind him eventually flow through the pipe with the water pressure so forceful going through the pipe. The water pressure assures this. Many of his other videos explain and show this fact.
You’re right, the water pressure holds the gas down. I even said that right before you said it. Whoever said you were lying about that apparently doesn’t know anything about science. Thank you for another amazing video. Those poor beavers. They really were depriving themselves of water.
Great video man I like how at 14:18 when you finally found the pipe you used your foot to break the dam and all that water went through and I saw it come out the other end on camera #2
*I really enjoyed how you filmed and walked through each step while dealing with the clog. Your perseverance in working through such a tough problem is impressive.* 💯💯💯❤❤❤
What many do not understand that the weight of the water can push the mud and leaves that traps the gas underneath the pile . Once you release the water the weight is a lot less so the gas can get up through the mud and leaves.
Well, a cube of 1m³ weighs 1 metric ton - you guys may want to transform this into your beloved imperial units 😅. Plus mud very obvioulsy is able to tighten things, like nicely seen for this dam here again 😂.
@NRZ-3Pi10 Well with water for 5 gallons of water weighs 41.7 pounds and at 1000 gallons it weighs 8,340 pounds. So if you figure with that logic it is very heavy no matter if you use metric or imperial units of measurement. I was just checking to find out when the UK switched from Imperial measurements to metric it was switched in 1965. Not sure if you live in the UK or another place but thought might be interesting to know. That the USA wasn't the only one using the imperial measurements system.
@@KenSch2020 German engineer here 😅! Wiki says our friends on the British Islands are in transition phase (e.g. distances on traffic signs might be in miles still), whereas Ireland fully switched in 2005. But also got curious how the “meter” was originally derived and got reminded it’s 10 millionth fraction of distance from equator to the pole. Means reference to our planet Earth - the `blue´ planet. Which somewhat builds a link to water as one major sources of life and this even more interesting coincidence within metric system that 1m³ of water weighs 1.000kg = 1 metric ton; i.e. bit more easy to remember maybe.
I always enjoy Post 10’s videos, but I have to admit that I watch with a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that tells me if I was a beaver, I’d be one of the idiot beavers building clogs in the wrong culverts!
Really enjoyed the video it was interesting to me. The beaver's are not the smartest it appears lol. Hopefully they will not make the same mistake again. You worked hard on that one for sure. Georgia Fan ❤
"stupidest beavers ever" Meanwhile down stream the beavers "Ok, we have the upstream cut off, we can finish up the rebar and pour our concrete for this dam any time now. Once it's cured up we'll re-open the upstream dam to quickly refill our pond...........Wait where's this fuckin water coming from"
oh dang that was an awesome surprise at the end with the bear and cubs 🐻🧸what a great shot I bet you have more awesome footage. yeah I wasn't expecting based on the size and water levels that the beavers 🦫 built what seemed to be like Fort Knox LOL it felt endless but hey it was rewarding at the end you got through it 👍💪
Sometimes I wish Post would have a little bitty backhoe so he wouldn't have to work so hard, but that would take all the fun out of it. Your videos are so interesting to watch, Post 10, keep up the good work!
Post, you should check the dam at Mill Pond in Hanover, NH. The beavers made a nice mountain pond there. It's 100's of feet long, some parts over six feet high, and easy access.
Looks like the beaver instinct overrode their intelligence this time. 😂 Maybe now that their pond is refilled they’ll understand what they did wrong. 🙂
Major drought in WV. State of emergency has been issued for the dryness. Got rain today finally. Down more than 10 inches this year or more in some areas.
Imagine you're a beaver out there just trying to live your life and then you start catching strays from a random dude who shows up to knock down your house.
No that’s me farting. Oh no wait that’s me taking a dump. Oh wait that’s me currently taking a dump. I’m taking a shit while responding to your TH-cam comment. Oh man I just did a look back; I just dropped more now that post 10 removes in two minutes. Oh damn I think I lost two pounds
Have you ever tried cleaning out covert? In different countries if they have any coverage maybe my friend post ten from Gabriella Rivas from Rosslyn Heights Long Island near new york city ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Suggestion. Try starting from the top working down. Clear the top of the pipe first so you know where it is then open it up. I did enjoy watching this keep up the good work.
I can imagine an adolescent beaver saying, "I told you it was wrong, Dad. That man just called you an idiot!"
LOL
Quiet boy! 😂
“I know what I’m doing. And stop touching the thermometer!”
"Son, the man who called us an idiot just removed neighbour Teds dam and in doing so filled our pond. Good things come to those who wait"
Post 10 vs beavers will forever be a legendary rivalry
It’s like one of those old 1930s movie serials with the episodic villain of the week, but it’s always the beavers and sometimes excavators.
"We'll get that Post 10, if it's the last thing we do!" - Beavers, everywhere
I like you how yelled "those beavers are idiots!" directly at their lodge. Shame them for depriving themselves of water!
"You have brought shame to the Beaverdom!"
I remember back when the idiots only drove excavators. Now they got ‘em building lodges, too? What’s next, Trump wins again?
😂
Being a good builder doesn't make you a good planner
Trump won't last long

Yep. Much easier to take care of some exterior renovations when the water's lower. And you didn't even have to tear down the dam yourself. Bravo! 😂
Their parents might have had a run in with post 10 and told them what to do next

The beavers are getting smarter. They are building post deceivers now. ;)
🤣
😂😂
Post 10 when you absolutely positively have to get rid of every clog in a culvert pipe except no substitute
Post deceiver ate actually 'Post ponderers'.😂
Maybe they just temporarily blocked it while they were remodeling the basement in their lodge. They probably want to get that done before the winter sets in. 😊
I bet they came home, saw all the fresh ruined, the basement flooded and looked at each other and said, POST! 🤣🤣

The beavers- "did he just call us politicians 😡..?"
I see this on a t-shirt 😁
Famous Last Words
they may not know WHERE to build, but they sure seem to know HOW to build that dam

Thanks for taking us along bud, another enjoyable episode. Happy November, good sir.
I’m transfixed by these videos… it’s like ASMR, cleansing, relaxing, therapeutic weirdness and I can’t get enough. And I learn so much.
That was tough! I can't believe how much water ended up on the other side. Good job!

Posty out giving a helping hand to the beavers. Love the picture of the bear at the end LOL.

He's going to Rorschach them someday soon :D
What if a different set of beavers did this to make the first set of beavers look stupid? Lol. Awesome as always ❤❤

There is a continuous train of people learning how mud and water pressure hold swamp gas.
Is there really such a thing as swamp gas? They always try to assign UFO sightings to swamp gas.
Or how getting rid of mud and water pressure leads to relieving Post10 gas.
Sorry you had such a time to clean this one...God Bless
