I am so amazed to watch your paintings come together almost effortlessly. Here I am laboring! Perhaps the problem….among others!!! Lol I will keep watching and learning! Thank you Diane!❤️
I am absolutely thrilled by this video again. This abstract style, which I love so much, and despite the default "Poppy field", to paint as I like. This is exactly how I see a poppy field that I can completely immerse myself in. I will paint such a picture. I already know that I will succeed and that I will be satisfied with it because of this ingenious and absolutely frustration-free technique that you show, dear Diane. Every brushstroke, every splash of colour will be right. Thank you so much for showing your colours. It's important to see how fluid they should be, because I'm too impatient to experiment. I love your long-haired brush, but I think your best tool will be your toothbrush :D
Thank you Sylvia for your wonderful thoughtful comments! It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to know that I am reaching your artistic centre and helping it to flourish! Of course you will succeed in your painting since you understand entirely what to do! Thank you also for your feedback on the method of teaching - it’s always helpful to know how students feel about what I’m offering! Good luck with your painting, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it and it will turn out well!
I bought a dagger brush last month. Knew nothing about them and haven’t used it. Now I know and will give it a go! Thank you for the video! So pretty! Random isn’t easy for me; I am working on that challenge. ❤️
They are a neat addition to your kit, you'll find lots of ways of using your dagger/swordliner/sabre (strange names eh?) I understand the challenge of being random although it's the opposite problem that I have myself !!
A few ideas to help you paint more loosely and break through that barrier - try painting with your non-dominant hand, in other words, if you’re right-handed, paint with your left hand for a while. Secondly hold the brush near the end, well away from the hairs. Thirdly change the way you grip the brush - make sure you’re not holding it tightly. Fourthly, use a much bigger brush than usual. If you normally use size 8, use a 14. Fifthly switch away from using pans. Use tube paints and get used to needing to use more paint than you previously did. Use a large white tray or plate to mix on instead of a small palette. This should help!
@@DianeAntoneStudio Goodmorning Diane, Wow, a lot of tips. I’ m going to try to paint lefthanded for exercise and use a bigger brush ao. I think my character is the same as you can see in my paintings: perfectionisme. A few years ago I did a lot of Mandala’s and Doodles with Staedtler fineliners. So not loose at all……😀 But I want to learn to loosen up 😀 Many thanks for your complete answer, 😘

Thanks Diane! Love the playfulness and spontaneity in these poppies!
Thank you!!
That is exactly what I thought and agree with
I love this! Have felt stuck and unmotivated for a few days but feel this may be the remedy, Merci! 😊
You're so welcome! It's a lot of fun painting that way! Hope you get unstuck!
Wonderful painting ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks for the tip about gripping the brush. I will definitely play with that. Have a great day.
Happy to help! Flicking is good fun!
I love the loose style. Had to chuckle about the missing stem.
Pretty colors.

I can hardly watch the guilty video now, I want to jump in and add the missing stem! Ah well !!!!!

Thanks for the visit
I love your loose poppies!
I try really hard to loosen up……

Recently I bougt some porcelain tableware, in a very cheap store.
That works for me: much bigger than plastic and the paint doesn’t walk away…..
I found it! 😉
Good job
