Love watching you paint. I am just starting out with watercoloring, mostly with stamping on cards but watching you create these landscapes is mesmerizing!

@@KarenRiceArt Yes Karen, I've been thinking of Patreon for sometime, but right now I'm under some financial strain due to layoffs. I'll be there soon 🤞🏽

I enjoy your style and tutorials. I struggle with my paper drying out much faster than yours. I'm using Arches 140lb cold press. No matter how fast I go, it dries before I want it to. Suggestions?
So pleased you like my tutorials. Try to have all your washes prepared in advance. Wet the paper thoroughly it will give you more time. Load your brush with plenty of paint. Use large brushes. If the painting is drying out too quickly, you can also spritz with a spritzer bottle. Hope this is helpful.
I love this landscape. So simple yet so beautiful! One question - I see that your sketchbook paper isn't curling or buckling despite the amount of water you are using. Is it because of the thickness of the paper? I find if I don't stretch my paper it will wrinkle.
Thank you! I mostly use watercolour gummed blocks, which help with keeping the painting from buckling. I also use paper that is 300gms (Cold Pressed watercolour paper 100% cotton A4 or bigger) and that seems to help too. Happy painting 😊
Sometimes, when you apply salt on very wet paper it can stick to the paper. Try using sort on damp paper, not wet next time. For now you could use a plastic card and scrape off the salt. Do this gently. Hope this was helpful 🎨

I am very new to watercolor and am finding this very fast. Is there another of your tutorials that would be slower for me to follow? Love your work!!
Just to let you know, you can slow down TH-cam videos. Just search on TH-cam to learn how to do this.
@@KarenRiceArt Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you so much 🤣
@Karen Rice I added the table salt but it's now part of the paper, won't come off!? What did I do wrong?
