Correction: Our second apparatus for those 50 variants will have all manuscripts from the 9th century and earlier. That is, it will have all pre-10th century manuscripts available to us. I said 10th century and earlier when I should have said 9th and earlier. There will be a few 10th century manuscripts but only because they are uncials.
I agree. I would 100% be willing to preorder a copy (though it has been 3 months, is it still in that stage?) I'm still learning Greek, but I'm enjoying it, and while I lean CT, I would like a variety of GNTs in physical form in addition to the THGNT that I plan to continue using, and the Robinson Pierpont text is definitely on that list
I’m an eclectic text guy, yet this is exactly the Byzantine text that I long to own because I value the documentation of textual variations and the dialogue between those in different schools of thought
I'm really looking forward to seeing the result of all your hard work whenever its done. Thank you for undertaking this with a humble focus on serving the church and glorifying God. Can I ask a couple of questions? Do you have any idea about how it will be distributed yet? I'm in the Northern Ireland, so just wondering about potential delivery. Secondly, while I know this isnt a priority right now. Do you plan on making a pdf of the text with apparatus available at some point down the line? I wouldnt want this instead of a hard copy, but as a useful addition.
Yes, I do anticipate the PDF becoming generally available. I would to get our 1000 print copies mostly sold before then. And I’m sure we can get a copy to Northern Ireland.
Wow, this is amazing Stephen! "Preorder" came to my mind as I was watching the video as well. Do you have any idea what size font you'll use? I've gotten to really appreciate the larger fonts lately! ;)
Thank you very much for doing this!! I have a question. Did you ever heard about Dr. Leslie McFall? I just discover his work thanks to the channel "Texto y teología", got a series of videos in english showing his work about byzantine text.
Thank you for what you do.. Question: have you done a review of the LSB Bible? I haven’t seen it on your channel unless I missed it. I use it along with my KJB. Best, JP Soli Deo Gloria
This is wonderful news. The majority text has a far better pedigree than we have been led to believe. It's been wrong to discount the church fathers quoting from the majority text, far earlier than the copies codex Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. The majority text, in a form, became the ecclesiastical text and should have been far better respected.
Don’t worry! We are proofreading as I speak. Lord willing, we definitely intend to provide international shipping. Of course the shipping costs will be a little bit more expensive.
Is there an email mailing list I should subscribe to for updates, or just keep an eye out for videos here? If it's ordering time, I'm eager to do that, if it's preorder time, I'm also ready to do that (plus, if I pre-order, I won't have to worry about forgetting to check in about when it's coming out, lol)
What's the difference between this and the existing Greek NT? Does it correct for errors in translation or is it just a new edition of an existing text?
There are multiple different Greek texts available. Ours has a number of features which those do not have. The most prominent scholarly text now is the UBS and Nestle Aland, both of which are closely guarded by copyright.
@@JRJohnson1701 public domain status, Byzantine text, Wide margins, thorough apparatus showing all differences between the Byzantine text and the critical text etc.
@Wanttoknowabout Yes, I watched it, but I don't understand it. I can watch it again. I like his videos on the end times, and agree with him. I just don't like Wescott and Hort because they were hired to corrupt God's word.
@@christiangrl45 Ok. So the background here is that they are advocating for the majority text and not the critical text (the one I think you don't like). Stephen and Dwayne have been working on releasing this new edition with an apparatus. Dwayne talks about it on his channel as well. For someone, maybe like you, who isn't a fan of the critical text, this should be a pretty major thing (given that these alternatives really are sparse).
@@Wanttoknowabout Oh, that makes sense now. Yeah, I didn't about about the greek text. I just knew that we could read the King James, and it is already done the right way by those scholars that used the Majority text. Now, I understand a pastor can get more understanding, by looking at the definitions, because I got more understanding from Stephen with him talking about Ezekial and Revelation. Thanks for explaining that. I appreciate it. He will be making a better Greek NT text so they won't have to use one that is wrong.
If the project doesn't succed was it because: A) Not enough people prayed. B) They prayed wrong. C) God doesn't like this project. D) God doesn't exist.
E) God thought that here was no added value in another vanity translation. Just joking. I guess I am just not educated enough to see the need for this.
@@biggestblimp 👍I like that answer. I think I'll use it next time someone asks me "If not from god, then where did this all come from?" I guess I am just not educated enough to see the need for god. I love it... Thanks. Can I credit you for this pearl of wisdom?
It's not A because the amount of prayer doesn't really make a difference to God, it's the same effect as if one prayed, it just makes people feel more comforted. B is unlikely as praying incorrectly would mean the person is living in some particularly bad unrepentant Sin which probably isn't the case for every person praying. C is the closest to the correct answer, though it's not necessarily that God doesn't "like" the project only that he has determined it should not come to pass for any number of reasons we might not be able to understand. There's your answer. It's not that difficult of a question. You are not as witty as you seem to think.

We have kicked the idea around. Not sure yet.

Very exciting, is there opportunity for international delivery to say Australia? Thanks
