This month we look at 25 years of the Black Bear Film Festival as the event celebrates its Silver Anniversary October 18th - 20th. Celebrity guest Illeana Douglas, granddaughter of Marvin Douglas, a two time Oscar Winner for Best Supporting Actor, whose career spanned decades in Hollywood. Halloween is just around the corner and its almost time for Peace, Love & Pumpkins running from October 11th until the 27th, 2024. Located on the grounds of the original Woodstock, this display of pumpkin art is really cool. If a frightfully good time is what you are looking for, the best night is Friday Night Frights complete with creepy ghouls and lots of haunted atmosphere. In August, the Zane Grey Museum sponsored a Vintage Baseball Game in Lackawaxen. This was a great chance for spectators to learn about how baseball was played in the 1800s. They didn't use gloves and the rules were completely different.
