I love these "bands like" video series. It's great to discover new bands that sound just like your favorites. I wonder which band will be next? Fall Out Boy? Green Day? Blink-182?
@EternallyUncoolTrevor Thats awesome. What I'm really curious now are bands that sound like Paramore. Are there even any bands out there with a female lead that sound like them?
@ that’s an interesting one! I can think of a few. And yes there are a lot of great female fronted bands out there right, but none as gigantic as Paramore
Two bands that I want to shoutout for Panic fans: The first being The Dresden Dolls. I believe they were one of the bands that opened for Panic for their Nothing Rhymes With Circus tour. They’re pretty much a very musical and theatrical sounding band. Very interesting I suggest checking them out. For Post Hardcore fans out there, second band to check out is SeeYouSpaceCowboy, more specifically their newest album Coup De Grace. For their latest album, they specifically wanted to work with Matt Squire because of his work with A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out. Connie from SeeYouSpaceCowboy even mentioned that when thinking of ideas for the new album, the used Panic’s first album as a blueprint for a starting point for the new sound that the album was going for.
@@KittyKate10778 better panic 😂 I think they’re equally good in what they do. Josh and Brendon are great singers and performers, both incredibly talented musicians. And obviously Panic had some talented members over the years, and MT has a very skilled lineup. Love them both
you’re also bound to enjoy the alt act MORAL if you like Patd. they use emo and theatrical elements on top of a darker emo/shoegazey instrumental especially with songs like Let Go, Black Dahlia, and Anymore. Similar writing styles, similar theatrics, but still originality
5sos just feels like more BFS or even the British boyband Busted. Which was just poppunk and not specifically P!ATD so maybe there is a good reason you think this and I'm missing it? I mean John Feldmann recorded and produced at least one of their songs who does have one Panic credit to his name but is more closely linked to The Used. Which if you listen to The Used first album it had a lot of great production (although not sure how much unfluence John had). He's only worked on Vices and Virtues by Panic while he's produced 3 albums from The Used and a few more from Good Charlotte, Blink-182, Avril Lavigne etc etc. They definitely have more of that vibe than anything Panic did.
You know what, I see the Busted comparison, especially for their earlier sound. I think I was thinking more of their modern pop sound and production in comparison to Panic's poppier albums, not strictly in sound. I should've been more clear, thats on me haha
Panic at the disco is the reason I make music.
