Honestly, I can see what Bruce saw in Linda. Bruce could have had any of the women who were flocking to him or eventually when he became a star but Linda stood brightest. Of course the same can be said that she could have had other men as well as it's obvious she's very charismatic, intellectual and passionate. Thank God for that Bruce Lee's interview by Pierre...i am sure a lot of people didn't know much about him other than films...but that interview shed a lot of light of what we thought Bruce was and is......he was authentic...on and off the screen.
It's Interesting the way she responded to the last question about whether or not it is ever a struggle to talk about Bruce. She said people didn't know about him back then and the evolution of getting to know him up until now has been very rewarding. Seems like she doesn't struggle talking about it all anymore because it's been so many years but also because so many people worldwide have come to respect him since his death. It's a calm, mature answer that I wasn't expecting, but I think it shows she's truly moved on from his death (in the best of ways).

I have a large framed poster of Bruce on my wall. It was a gift I got for my birthday from a work colleague in 1973. It has been on my wall always, no matter where I lived. I would of loved to of seen a blockbuster martial arts movie starring Bruce with his son Brandon as an adult. The fact that both died at such an early point in their lives and movie careers is a tragedy.
I think this was a local show. Based out of Vancouver? Not a more professional CNN or Dateline show. Where the calibre is higher. But, there IS the fact that they might hvae been nervous interviewing the wife and daughter of someone who has been worshipped by millions to this day (Dec 2020). No matter what you really think or know about Bruce Lee. How important or unimportant he was in our lives. Different for everyone. There are people who to this day remain I think jaded fans. Who just see what is presented to them on a surface level. Others, were fans and have since maybe changed their views. I know that was how it was for me. Growing up as a fan who bought into all the "presentation". Never questioning any of the facts. Till decades later for whatever the reason. I guess I was "stuck" in "fanboy mode". Does amaze me to this day how many actual champions are willing to say Bruce was their influence. Made them want to study martial arts and became champions. How champions from other sports were heavily influenced. Some by his life philosophies. Yet Bruce Lee was never a competitor on any level. THAT'S what gets me about the admiration. It's one thing to be a good martial artist. And one thaat can look good on-screen. But to become a professional athlete who would become a world champion. Or even national champion. Is something else. On another level IMHO. As they've had to prove themselves constantly against competitors of high to elite calibers. As there are things you can only learn through competition (on any level) . Made me wonder, when I saw "I AM BRUCE LEE", if the celebs and pro athletes did the interviews just for their 2 minutes of fame. To be immortalized on a BluRay disc. Why couldn't they get Chuck Norris, Bob Wall, Bolo Yeung, Joe lewis...Ed Parker....some legendary champions and legendary martial artists who supposedly Lee trained under even if briefly. "Judo" Gene LaBell. Why were they left out? Chuck Norris starred in one of his films. For me Bruce was a "marketing genius". More than a great martial artist. That is my take away from who he was. A 130 pound Chinese man who came to the US during a still openly racist country (towards Asians, Blacks...most immigrants), face "adversity" and manage to WOW millions then and to this day almost 50 years later. To remain relevant decades after his "passing". One "personality" that never had to reply on tactics some celebs have today (e.g. jumping up and down on a sofa on a talk show, make a sex tape and hand it off to the right people..urinate in a bin in the kitchen of a restaurant-Bieber...etc.). Had he also been a world champion....

Well, the theme of the Expendables is the older action stars getting together. They're just like party films. But until BL was near retirement, I agree with the other poster that he would concentrate on quality films, not just Expendable type action films. Adventure films with deep story. It would have been fun to see BL and Chuck Norris together in Expendables!

Well, the theme of the Expendables is the older action stars getting together. They're just like party films. But until BL was near retirement, I agree with the other poster that he would concentrate on quality films, not just Expendable type action films. Adventure films with deep story. It would have been fun to see BL and Chuck Norris together in Expendables!

Bruce Lee was an amazing, unique individual, I am a huge fan of his, I wish I could have met and/or trained with him. He was a smart, wise person, who had incredible physicality, and that's an understatement!
