The tragedy of this woman was not just losing her dear husband even more painful was the loss of a very handsome, talented, charismatic and rising star in his own right: Brandon Lee, Linda's son. Imagine the pain - poor guy was not even able to see his career evolve into that of a superstar. Brandon Lee had so much potential and the thought that his life and aspirations were cruelly snatched because of that idiotic error on the shooting set which was totally avoidable makes me sick. I can't believe that even recently such an error with firearms occurred with Adam Baldwin. Looks like some lessons have not been learned. I saw Brandon Lee's first movie from his 1986 Hong Kong days: Legacy of Rage (1986) - it is indeed one of the best and yet most underrated movies one can get to see. Its much more than an action movie. Brandon stole the show as the hero. I wish the family all the very best!

I am so glad as a young girl back in the day that I had the boy and pleasure and privilege to watch Bruce Lee movies and even learn some karate from my dad who was also influenced by Bruce Lee. My brother & I from age 7 would watch marathons of Bruce Lee movies on channel 48 in Pa. Do ya'll remember channel 48. It was one of the best times of my childhood watching Bruce shine so brightly. He was a thrill and still is a legend. He died the yr of my birthday and is missed.

I always like Bruce Lee and his movies. When I heard he died I was in junior high school. My mother told me when I came home from school I was shocked. I said then life is short. I still feel that way today. I am sorry to hear that Shannon and Linda Lee do not get along with Bruce's family. This is the time to be close-knit since Bruce Lee died.

I probably watched dragon a hundred times when it came out. I was a kid then, maybe 11 or 12 and it made me want more of his talent.

That was hard for Brandon when he was a child. There was a poster of his father in a dojo he was studying in and he saw it he just lost it!
They (Bruce's widow and his daughter) didnt even attend Bruce's mother's funeral which is wrong. Bruce loved his siblings and parents very much and not attending his mom's funeral shows what type of person they are.

Speaking from experience not necessarily. We don't know all the reasons why they didn't attend and no one I didn't attend my own parents' funeral who I love very much.... I know there are reasons other people cannot see.
Attending anyone's funeral isn't a requirement, I personally don't care for funerals and aside from maybe my mother, sibling or God forbid children won't be attending any more, you can pay your respects without attending
Generally Chinese community are practically have a great love towards their parents and it is their culture as others. Don't say, he has not attended the funeral, it might have been a reason behind this.

This to date, has been my biggest regret, as that wasn't how I wanted to remember her. I always wonder if there are others who feel the same as I do about attending funerals of loved ones🤔

It's a shame when Bruce's family is barred from even talking about his childhood. That's an unique experience as a sibling of Bruce Lee, and the family seems like a very humble family. I feel Bruce's sister's frustration, but I think, since Shannon and Linda doesn't want anything to do with Bruce's family, the sisters and remaining family should respect Shannon and Linda's wishes. In the long run, and it always happens, a tragedy will drive them together, and that is unfortunate. I pray that Shannon and Linda has a change of heart before anything happens. peace
Cantonese families, like any other families, can be and some are indeed closed, narrow, and in some cases, deliberately ignorant and selfish. Linda, Brandon and Shannon were Bruce's love. Unconditional, timeless love of his life. If the extended families had not been kind and supportive to the widow and their children, then there would be nothing to talk about.
Do you personally know Bruce's extended family to say "the family seems like a very humble family"? His immediate family that is his wife and children they were, are and will always be his family. The law is very clear. Immediate family comes first. So if you gonna write books make podcasts films this that it will be *incumbent upon you to first proactively approach and request permission with respect and proceed only, after, consent is given.* Yes there is free speech but no if it infringes upon copyrights and trademarks. The ladies have secured the rights abundantly clear. When things are proprietarized, here, you request permission if not out of respect at least empathy, a word I am certain exists in Cantonese.
I know a gal who married a Chinese man. Her life was made miserable by his family who all believed that knocking her down any way thy could was ok. She understood this was the Chinese way so fought back by cutting them out of her life. She won, they lost.

There was nothing like seeing Bruce's movies on a 50 foot screen with surround sound like when they first came out in the early 70s. I was in the Navy at the time and went to see *_The Chinese Connection_* with my then-girlfriend at a theater in downtown Philly. I mean we were losing our ever-lovin' minds during his fight scenes!
When Lee first used the nunchucks we were done because we had never seen anything like that before; at least I hadn't. When I went back to see it again there were guys walking up and down the aisles with makeshift nunchuck's made from mop or broom handles with some type of chain in-between.

Bruce Lee & Brandon Lee were the best martial artists to ever live. Their legacy has been the greatest gift from Hong Kong to America. I pray Linda & Shannon are pleased with the remembrance of these 2 great artists.

I Think Lindda Bruce's wife & daughter should rethink to build the bond with Bruce Lee's family .Life is too short not to.As much as she loved Bruce so does his family.zit was a great loss from both sides.The decent thing to do was attend his moms funeral .When you do things think about the man who was special in your life.If it was not for his mom & dad she would not have met him or had such a magical time in her life marry this great special man.As much as she loves her children with Bruce Lee .She must remember his mom & siblings loved him too

there's always to sides in the story ...who know's what Linda's been through when they moved in HK ...probably the family didn't support her remember this is in the 60s back then intermarriage is not very popular and Chinese culture is very conservative too.
@@mariloureyes8439 very true..I also think that was what happened. But people can change with time. If his parents and siblings have changed their feelings then the best thing for Linda's soul and peace would be to forgive and give a relationship a shot.

Forgiveness is hard. I went through it with my mother in law. She hated me and made fun of me and thought I was a stupid indian...when in all truth I have a bachelor degree and more education then my husband's entire family put together...yet they looked down on me because of my skin color.
When my daughter was born six years into my marriage my daughter was born at 2 pounds and almost died. The first person there to support me was my mother in law. She stayed with me in a Ronald McDonald house for 30 days to support me through that time...turned out she had lost a baby. We still have issues but I know in her heart when the shit hits the fan she will have my back...I have to forgive a lot and be the bigger person a lot but it blesses my soul

What they do now really upset Bruce. Bruce wouldnt like that to happen to his siblings. Bruce care for his siblings and parents a lot. Bruce even called his sister Phoebe to be his manager managing his money when he started becoming famous, but Phoebe couldnt leave her work like that. You can see how he trusted his sister more than anyone else.

I really idolize Bruce I have his gold box of DVD. Loved his movies my oldest daughter and my grandson are both black belts

My favorite movie of all time is "The Crow" with the late Brandon Lee. I also love the movie "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" and I need to watch his movies. I have his book "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do". Brandon Lee actually died on March 31, 1993

@@saraswatisky3119 yeah. He was shot by a prop gun filming a scene and instead of a dummy bullet it was a live round that hit him and he passed away during I believe it was 12 hours of surgery trying to save his life. He was such a beautiful soul.
